I had problems with the insignia usb hub installing the software needed for use. This brand installed everything, and worked great almost instantly.

Our problem of not enough ports for all our devices have been solve. I installed this in my Mac and now everybody is happy! Very reliable.

This hub is an awesome little hub, brought it home, plugged into to my touchscreen laptop running windows 8.1, and it is running 4 peripherals, a mouse, recording surface, usb storage device and high speed cell phone charger, flawlessly and effortlessly. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I bought this for a work computer that only had one usable USB. My new thumb drives are 3.0 so I had to spend the extra to retain compatibility. I think it could have been cheaper, but it is was it is, and it works.

This works exactly as expected. The build is solid and the ports all provide the bandwidth I wanted.

This powered USB hub lasted two weeks - a total of maybe 15hrs of use. It ran very hot to the touch, which, I'm assuming, was the cause of its premature demise. Regardless, it's a complete waste of money. Do what I should have done - disregard the plethora of positive reviews and buy something else. And certainly don't rely on it for programs like Mainstage, Logic, etc. I was in the middle of a set when it started to die. Do not buy this hub. You've been warned.

For 3 months, this USB Hub worked fine. I had 2 external hard drives and 1 CD player connected to it. Then the external hard drives no longer appeared when connected to the hub. The box art shows 4 pictures: 1) Camera 2) Hard Drive 3) USB 3.0 Device 4) 2.1 Amps - Fast Charging and the manual does NOT provide you with any limitations. When I contacted j5create technical support about this problem, here is their response: "Unfortunately the box art is incorrect. The power connector only powers one USB port on the hub. This hub may power one hard drive if it is the only device connected to the hub. Unfortunately this hub is not designed for high power and high bandwidth devices such as hard drives, digital cameras or cd players. I apologize for the confusion that the out of date box art has caused." I asked for a refund, but j5create refused and said I could get a replacement since it was under the 1 year warranty. But why would I want a replacement - this product doesn't meet my needs of requiring the connection of 2 external hard drives. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT & UNSATISFACTORY RETURN POLICY. BE CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING THIS PRODUCT!

Just purchased today. Connected drives will be disconnected when adding additional drives. This defeats the entire point of having a multi-port hub. The hub is USB powered, but also comes with a power adapter. I tried it on both USB and AC power and it still disconnects drives. I'm DEFINITELY returning this as soon as possible. I didn't purchase this from Best Buy, but am posting this everywhere I can think due to the hub be so terrible.

Good speeds and amazing charging times. Use to connect my IMac to external thumb drives.

purchased this here in Arizona, it is apparently a discontinued product which I paid full price for. This model is not listed on the www, J5create.com website to update the drivers as per the product instructions. This JUH340 model is a 4 port usb 3 mini hub with ac adapter if needed (34.99). I am extremely tired of purchasing and paying full price for a product that has been discontinued. Best Buys prices do not reflect the discontinued products. I have emailed J5create.com and will or will not change my rating after their reply. I will be taking this back to Best Buy and purchasing from either Amazon or another retailer. If a product is discontinued it should be noted in the tag with the price discounted.

works good for charging when you use the right usb slot

Actually, it ran for a little while on the USB 2.0 ports of my desktop computer (about an hour), but not at all on the 3.0 ports. Then it stopped working altogether. Then I tried it on my laptop. Still didn't work. Returned it to Best Buy as defective, and got a different brand, which is working fine. When the tech at the store examined it, he noticed that the USB input port on the unit was pushed back a few millimeters so that the plug could not make contact. So much for quality control during assembly.

It did not even last for 2 months before the ports started failing. right now only the high speed port only works, and that is only intermittently(after start-up)
