There was a windows update about a month ago my dads Laptop Computer had updated to and the Wi-Fi drivers got corrupted. His laptop doesn't have a ethernet port I had bought this and tested it and worked great. I did a windows system restore point and fixed it and paused windows updates for 30 days and forgot to go back in and extend it close to the end of the 30 day pause. last night the same update reinstalled and corrupted the Wi-Fi drivers again and just plugged this adapter back in to get him back online and all worked great being I didn't have time to fix his computer at that moment.

Got because I thought my laptop’s Ethernet port was bad. I ended up using it on another computer that didn’t have an Ethernet port and worked really well. Didn’t have to setup any drivers, just showed up as new network card on my PC.

This adapter worked on Linux machine out of the box. No need to install any drivers.

This small item does exactly what is says it does. It is no frills, but it doesn't need any for what it is. This item plugged in and started up with no problems, replacing my failed internal ethernet port. The USB 3.0 functionality works excellently. Honestly, my biggest surprise was the weight of this thing. It is solidly built of aluminum and heavy plastic. This little thing will survive for a long time. Definetly a great product and well worth the money spent.

You may notice that I reviewed a USB-C to ethernet adapter and found it to be lacking in providing the wired high speed connection I was looking for. This is the device I used as a replacement and it works as advertised. It was easy to setup, just plug it in.

I was having trouble with an old laptop's wireless wifi not working after installing linux. After arriving at best buy the salesperson advised that an inexpensive solution would be to try to connect via an ethernet adapter. The ethernet adapter works great and has kept this old laptop from going to the junk pile.

Works perfectly! Good quality this adapter is made of aluminum and is very sturdy. My other prior adapters only lasted a year. Just plugged the Ethernet capable device in and literally setup within five seconds. As usual J5 Create did a great job with this adapter.

Driver is native to Windows so no fiddling. Have not tested on my Mac but, I assume it will be supported out of the box. Solid little 3.0 Gigabit adapter which doesn't get hot under heavy use. (Many of my previous USB Ethernet adapters heated up tremendously under heavy operation. Even Apple's Sonic Screwdriver (Thunderbolt-To-Gigabit Ethernet Adapter) got really warm around the connector when it was under heavy use.

I don't often write reviews for products. In fact, this might be my first one. But I just had to say this is a greatv adapter. I'm using this on my Linux server. I didn't check if Linux was supported; I figured it wasn't. But it was recognized right away. No special configuration needed.
