I wanted a iMac but wasn't ready to pay the iMac price O_o, so instead I decided to be creative and create my own iMac experience. I purchased the j5create - SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to VGA External Video Adapter - White. Overall it's a great purchase and works well with the monitors cable connection, but I wish I would have opted for the hdmi port. I was being frugal, but it's still a good compromise. Perhaps when Apple gets more innovative and have more competitive prices, I'll switch out my iMac set up with MacBook Pro for an actual iMac :) FYI I have a Macbook Pro and also purchased the following items for my iMac set up (which also allows for dual monitors): Apple - Magic Keyboard - Silver Apple - Magic Mouse 2 - Silver Insignia™ - 6' HDDB15 Male-to-Male PC Monitor Cable - Black j5create - SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to VGA External Video Adapter - White AOC - i2779vh 27" IPS LED FHD Monitor - Black/silver

I have expanded my computer up to 4 monitors. Takes a little tweaking to configure all four, and it works.

I bought this cable to see if it would be compatible for my 3rd monitor at work, rather buying the adapter from Amazon. This was cheaper and works just as good as the adapter from Amazon. Our company bought 10 more!

Since so many new computers aren’t adaptable to old projectors this is a dream! It’s worked well except one time and that could have been me!

Needed to add a second screen to a work computer and the first USB adapter I bought would Only allow 800x600 resolution. I purchased this plugged in and immediately had the second screen up and glingnwith the correct resolution

This product helps to add a 2nd monitor with ease. After asking a Geek Squad member for advice, they said this item wouldn't work on my computer. And they were wrong. I'm glad I tried it anyway,

This product is perfect for anyone that needs the use of a second monitor, but has no additional ports on their computer for their screen. We purchase these quite frequently for our customers. Supports full 1080P Resolution. Only negative thing I'd say about this is that they seem to have a pretty high fail rate. We've had to replace a good handfull out of maybe 50 we've installed.

This adapter is really good as soon as I plug it in it started to work. I was very happy with the product.

I have tried numerous brands and the J5create line are tops. One system has 4 of them driving 4 LCDS flawlessly. And I have used their USB to VGA, USB to HDMI and their HDMI to VGA and all of the work perfectly. Cannoy say any more...they just work
