I have been using this Dock station for about 2 months and have had no issues with it. I didn’t even have to download any programs to make it work. The overall quality is great.

Good but not perfect.

I am still trying to work out if it is a hardware issue or something with the drivers.

Posted .We advise no more than one (1) bus-powered/portable external hard disk drive to be connected to the adapter at a time. That note means the dock can only reliably power one portable (bus-powered) external hard drive at a time through its USB ports.
Bus-powered hard drives draw all their power directly from the dock’s USB port. When multiple drives try to pull power at once, the dock can’t supply enough current, which can cause the drives to disconnect, not be recognized, or run inconsistently.
We recommend using a self-powered drives when you’re connecting high-capacity HDDs, multiple drives, or running a drive through a USB hub/dock that might not supply enough current.

Powers the laptop and charges it well; connects my keyboard via usb and an external hard drive. Allows attachment to my large monitor. Highly recommend.

I followed the driver instructions prior to installing and did a bunch of troubleshooting to no avail. Ended up returning.

If the computer goes to sleep, I’ll have to disconnect and reconnect it to get it working properly. I have a MacBook Pro that is only a year and a half old, so it should work fine.

The ethernet port, 1 HDMI port, and a usb port all quit work. I did some troubleshooting and an old dock was able to resolve the malfunction completely without issue. Do not purchase!!!

The displays either wont work or ar bad quality through this device. And it makes noise. Its also plastic which i wasnt expecting so it was easily moved since it wasnt heavy. And the set up… dont grt me started… its not plug and play and complex constructions where i felt lile i trouble shooted for 6 hours and barely got my second device to turn on after the 6 hours jsit for it to be really ugly and low resolution. (I have a macbook pro 2021 so its pretty decent and does fine with two displays without this device)

Posted .The docking station does not include a dedicated power adapter in the box. Instead, it relies on USB-C Power Delivery (PD) passthrough from your laptop charger or a separate USB-C power source to power the dock and connected devices.
The JCD3199P, however comes with its own 140W GaN PD3.1 USB-C 1-Port Charger.
Make sure your computer has an available USB-C port that supports DisplayPort alternate mode and USB Power Delivery 2.0/3.0 or 3.1.

I found out after I was past my return window that it absolutely will not work with ultrawide aspect ratios. This was even the case when I connected only one monitor. Definitely upset that when I upgraded to ultrawide monitor in my office that this dock became an absolute waste of money
