||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For the $75 Spent on this seemingly perfect tool to have in my collection of accessories with my new MacBook Pro I am not very happy with it at all. The reason I bought it was for the ethernet and the HDMI ports and the ethernet port doesn't work at all and the HDMI only works 10% of the times I try plugging it in. It makes the computer think it's working and recognises my monitors but doesn't send the signal to either of them. Have never heard of j5 create before but not planning anymore of their accessories.

Several choices to choose from

Decent dock but tempermental

Everything seems to work fine with the exception of audio running through HDMI. I have an drop in audio every 8 seconds for about 1-2 seconds, very annoying. I contacted customer support and they said they would ship me another after they received mine. Waited for 2 weeks and received the new one, same issue. When I told them I'm experiencing the same issue was given no options and not even a reply. My Apple adapter works fine and no audio drops. Stay away from J5Create.

Being behind on updates could cause the device to not function as intended and in order to rule everything out we recommend contacting the Manufacture (of your computer) Support in order to have them assist you in properly updating your computer. Big software issues

Doesn’t work with the newer MacBook OS.

Didn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I bought this item I fallowed the instructions, you had to download some drivers before plugging in. I wanted something I could just plug in and go but not the case with this product. When I installed the drivers and plugged it in it would not work. I decided to uninstall and try again but still had issues, whenever it was plugged in I would lose my internet connection. I got irritated at this point and returned the product and went with startech and haven't had an issue since. It was plug and play like I wanted and no issues.

Ethernet No Workie

Posted .Because the Ethernet is the only port on the JCA374 that requires a driver for functionality, it will not work unless it is properly installed. In order to troubleshoot and get it working as intended, we recommend contacting support on the casing to speak with a rep and they will have it up and running in no time.

The JCA374's USB ports are intended to work with peripherals such as mice, keyboards, flash drives, web cameras. Due to the higher wattage requirement of the accessory, we recommend connecting directly to the computer instead. I had to return to the store to exchange item and reschedule geek squad.

I got this converter because my computer does not have an ethernet port and I need ethernet speed/consistency while working from home. Unfortunately, the return window is closed so I'm forced to purchase a new hub. I will not be purchasing this one again.
