Sales person suggested it as the best of the few such devices they carry. Not happy about limited options, but unwilling to waste time shopping for alternatives. Six weeks later I have not yet opened the package. That's because the external webcam I also bought included an adapter for a single usb>usb connection Thus, you are better advised to read other reviews than mine. Giving them "5 stars" is simply generosity; it might actually be justified but I don't know.
