Every time I connect this, my computer freezes frequently while I’m working. It would be useful for a computer that has less powerful. I have a Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 AMD RYZEN 5000 Series

Boy does this solve a problem. Makes the computer much lighter less functions and connections and when you need them they are available!!!!!

This particular model is just right for my needs. There are many options to choose from depending on what you want to hook up to your computer. I only wish it had a bit longer and more flexible cord so you could place the unit up against the computer to save space when you’re working at a small table. Otherwise it’s just what the doctor ordered.

Broke within two months, the usb-c connector that attaches to your devices is super fragile and today started to melt but now it cannot read sd cards or use the multi port… should’ve splurged on extended help

Fell apart on me after 5 months. $50 wasted. I hate having buyer’s remorse. Tried to detach it from my laptop and the connector came out. Damage was beyond repair.

My use case is a bit unique. The internet provider for my home (motorhome) is a phone. Using the J5Create plugged into the Pixel 3 USB C port and turn on the Ethernet Tethering feature within the phone; the J5create keeps the phone powered 24/7, and passes the Ethernet/internet from the phone to the home router/wifi access point. Works great. (see photo / diagram). Because keeping a phone on a charger at 100% charged 24/7 is not a good idea, I attempted to tweak this approach with a "Chargie" inserted in the power line. It is controlled by a phone app and will turn off the power when the phone reaches 80% charge and turn the power back on when the phone drops to 20% charge. Much better for the battery life of the phone. Before anyone else attempts this same approach, note that when the "Chargie" shuts off power to the phone it causes the phone's ethernet tethering to drop out until manually turned on again. But the diagram provided works great if you remove the "Chargie".  Last I looked my router had 13 connections all being fed from the phone through the J5Create. Very happy with it.

second dongle i've bought from j5. They are on all day, nearly everyday, for months now... Both for the same legion 7i gen9 laptop, both are working great and are absolutely necessary as the legion doesn't come with an Ethernet port... which required the first j5 dongle (not this dongle), and when using the laptop mux switch (dedicating the hardware to run purely off of the 4070 rtx) the other usb-c port was needed for an additional HDMI port (using this dongle), though if you don't turn on the software based mux switch you could use the HDMI port on the other dongle that has the Ethernet port. So yes, Legion 7i Gen 9 do be doing weird things with their left sided ports when you access your laptop's mux switch which will shut off ether ethernet access for the rear port, and hdmi access for the forward port, but will allow Ethernet through the thunderbolt usb-c forward port, and HDMI through the rear (and the ports lose the ability to do both). Turn off the Mux switch and each port can do both HDMI and Ethernet again. j5 listened to me, took interest in my plight, and thanked me for my feedback, i will never forget them

It works well and does what it is supposed to do including allowing a second monitor to connect.

Lightweight easy to use, compact for carrying with your laptop. Everything you need for additional ports.

All PCs now do not come with extra USB ports, nor do they have a card reader. For the price, this is the best multi-port on the market. I don't have to look for another adapter, as it has a micro USB card reader. It also allows me to travel without worrying about having an extra cord.

Does what it needs to do. Runs monitor and keyboard no problem and takes little space.

This is a great multi-port hub that is easy to travel with and has plenty slots to utilize. It's reasonably priced as well.

If you need a USB hub, the extra connections on this product are extremely useful, particularly if you have a laptop/device with low amount of USB-C ports. In particular the SD card slot is a welcome addition that I have used multiple times. Good build quality and handy to have around when you need more connections. Just be aware of you are looking for more than just charging, transfer isn't always clear to computers, so be aware of that I suppose.

The Multi-Port hub has everything that you could need to make plugging in at home or at work as simple as possible. I personally have a speaker, microphone, printer, and extra display going through it and when I come to my set up I only need to plug in one thing to my laptop.

This product is useful, practical and easy to transport. Certainly a must have item when multiple electronics need plugging. Would purchase this item again for myself and as a gift.

Helped me connect my surface pro to my monitor and works really well. Has every connector port I need.
