Customers are pleased with the Elite 7 Active True Wireless Noise Canceling In-Ear Headphones, particularly praising the sound quality, fit, comfort, and battery life. The ANC and Hearthrough features are also well-received. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues and found the case design a bit challenging to open. I have had Jabra earbuds for a long time. I am not in sure why in they changed but these are not the same. Jabra took away the dual connect and they do not sit in my ear the same. Just disappointed.

Hello Crashtech- Thank you for reviewing the Jabra Elite 7 Active. We are sorry you are dissatisfied with the Elite 7 Active's connectivity and fit. The Jabra Elite 7 Active does support multipoint, so you can connect the device to two supported iOS or Android smartphones and tablets. Please keep in mind that we do not officially support the Jabra Elite 7 Active for use with devices other than iOS or Android smartphones and tablets, and, as such, we cannot promise device connectivity. Regarding the fit of your Jabra Elite 7 Active, we encourage you to check out our device's fit guide to see how to find your perfect fit: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-7-active/100-99171703-98/faq/How-do-I-get-the-best-fit-with-my-Jabra-earbuds. We recommend you try all of the different sized ear gels that come included in your package as we know that not everyone's ears are the same size or shape. You will want to find an ear gel that fits snuggly in your ear without being too tight. Finding a snug fit may take trial and error, and you may even need to mix and match the size of your ear gels per earbud. Lastly, we now offer a MyFit test for the Jabra Elite 85t found within the Jabra Sound+ app. We designed MyFit to help you find your best fit with the Elite 85t earbuds and optimize your audio experience, improve the Active Noise Cancellation functionality, and help you feel a deeper bass in your audio. When you take the test, you will hear a tone played simultaneously in each earbud. During this time, your earbuds are checked to make sure that you have an optimal seal around your ear canal. To access the MyFit test, connect your Jabra Elite 85t to the Sound+ app. Then, go into the Headset tab and select Settings. Lastly, tap "Personalize your headset" > MyFit. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more help with your Jabra Elite 7 Active: https://www.jabra.com/supportpages/jabra-elite-7-active/100-99171703-98/contact-support. Jabra

In a normal volume outdoor environment my partner said it sounded like there was an airplane taking off 100 percent of the time. So if you are on calls a lot do not buy, the microphones pick up way too much ambient noise.

Hello Patrick - Thank you for taking the time to review the Jabra Elite 7 Active. We regret to hear your experience while using the headset for taking calls. These true wireless earbuds contain four microphones to reduce ambient noise, so that your voice is heard clearly on calls. To give the best possible audio quality on the receiving end of a call, digital signal processing is used to remove background noise, such as wind when the earbuds are used outdoors, and office noise when they are used indoors. True wireless earbuds perform well for music and calls in many different environments. However, the design and wearing style of the earbuds, with the microphones located in your ears rather than next to your mouth, may in some situations present a challenge picking up your voice or filtering out background noise, compared with Jabra products that have a different design and wearing style. Other Jabra products may offer higher levels of noise reduction on the receiving end of a call because the microphones are placed closer to the mouth, for example in a boom arm or on a cord. For best results please make sure your device's firmware is up to date. Once again we thank you for reviewing the Jabra Elite 7 Active. Jabra

The Jabra Elite 7 Active in-ear headphones are a welcome addition to their lineup and feature a new ShakeGrip coating that helps the headphones stay in your ear without the need of some kind of wing or whatever protrusion to prevent them from falling out while you’re running around. This is the biggest issue I had with their older “active” models that sounded fantastic, but heavily relied on using a tight cushion fit to stay in place. The ShakeGrip coating solves that problem with a subtle coating that somehow comfortably grips your inner ears. I don’t know if it’s a change in the tip or body material, but it works great at keeping the ear bud in place without needing to change the low profile shape that Jabra’s traditionally come in. I can actually run and be aggressive in these, and it even passes my headbanging head shake test! Big ups to Jabra for recognizing and fixing an issue while keeping it low profile. Soundwise, you still get the great Jabra sound, but you’ll need to manipulate it with the EQ as it’s flat out of the box. I was actually a bit disappointed when I first put them on, but after adjusting the EQ and using the Jabra tuning program in their app, I got it to offer that excellent “Jabra sound” that I’ve become accustomed to. It doesn’t sound as “natural” as the 75t Active, but it’s not far off, providing clean vocals with good bass response. What sets the Jabra headphones apart though is their Sound+ app, which is the most useful app I’ve ever experienced from a headphone company. The Sound+ app lets you adjust and save EQ settings, adjust the “hear through” and “noise cancelling” mix, custom program device controls, and even includes sound frequency tests to tailor the sound specifically to your ears. This not only helps prevent hearing loss, but also provides a superior audio experience as well. Jabra’s “hear through” mode is notably the best I’ve heard of any other brand. It does a great job of passing through most sounds and actually lets you listen to things around you without being totally drowned out by the music mix. It’s how ANC “hear through” or “pass through” modes should work, but Jabra seems to do it better than most. Not everything is an improvement though, but at least one is fixable with a firmware update. I prefer the other case design where the door is higher up and easier to flip open than this one which is right down the middle. Sometimes I have trouble opening the door unless I really grip it, vs the other design where I can flip it open with one finger. It’s a small thing and not at all a deal breaker, just something I immediately noticed. The other thing, which a software update can fix, is that when playing media and switching between noise cancelling modes, the sound cuts out and offers some static for about 1 second before coming back on. This only happens while media is playing and isn’t a big problem, but it’s something that doesn’t happen with other Jabra ANC headphones I’ve used and I hope it gets fixed here. Overall, the Jabra Elite 7 Active are excellent in-ear headphones and a solid choice if you like Jabra ear buds that will actually stay in your ear. The ShakeGrip technology works and you get that outstanding Jabra sound quality and “hear through” mode. Much like the 75t Active model, these are the most practical headphones I’ve used and confidently staying in my ears makes the Elite 7 Active even better in that regard. With 8 hours of charge time, 30 hours of recharge in the case, IP57 water rating, a useful app, and a fantastic microphone for phone calls, I highly recommend these earbuds.

The buds fit in the ear well, they stay in place when you’re active but if you enjoy great sound? You don’t want these. The sound is tinny, there’s no sound equalizer in the app. It was a ‘no’ from me.

The buds would never stay connected to the app on my phone (Google Pixel 5A) for any length of time. I would have to force stop the app to get it to see the buds and then it would subsequently lose them after a very quick period of time. Jabra tech support was of no assistance. Then the only means of contact is e-mail Monday-Friday from like 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. I gave up and returned them. This is the 2nd and last time that I'll try anything as far as ear buds from Jabra, they just don't work.

Perfect replacement for google pixelbuds A series

    Posted .

I was looking at some earbuds online to replace my old google pixelbuds as the earphones themselves stopped holding charge and would power off completely after about 8 minutes. After some searching, I found these on Amazon, and took a look at their reviews there and looked at some videos about them on YouTube which made me want to buy them because of all of their positive reviews, however, I was kind of skeptical because I was worried they might not sound as good as my pixelbuds until I found out you can tweak the sound in the app. I saw they are available at a store near me, so I went and got them at the last minute. They were pretty easy to set up, but some people may find it tricky to get the EQ just right for their ears on them as it took me a while to get them to sound how I need. After I found the sweet spot, I can honestly say that these sound better than every other Bluetooth earbuds I’ve ever had. I’ve had AirPods, Beats, and of course the pixelbuds before, and these are by far the best. The noise cancel feature works really well, and is noticeable especially in noisy environments. The hear through feature is my most favorite. You can set the headphones up so that they can sound the best for you in the “my sound” menu, which would ask you to do a hearing test so that the app would know how to setup your headphones for you. I’m conclusion, these are worth the money especially if you are looking for earbuds with app control that would have a long battery life and good sound quality

I like the sound quality and the fact, that I got to adjust it to my individual hearing. At first, I couldn't run wearing them, one always fell out, but I guess I've learnt to put stick them correctly. They are quite big, though, and stick out of my ears, which makes the gravity to affect them during running. So they are not 100% comfortable for dynamic sports. I like the case and the magnet in it, which makes it easier to put them back correctly.

This new design for Jabra changes the expectations of stability for active people. They fit in the ear better. The suction cups hold without clogging the ears, and with noise cancelling, the sound is more clear for phone calls and music. Battery life is great and controls are a learning curve, but these headphones will easily blend into any casual or active lifestyle.

These are fantastic for use while exercising or working on something outside. They stay in my ear better than any others, and I haven't had any issues with them slipping out due to sweat or some other factor. The sound is excellent, the bass is top-notch, and I like the controls. Where they do fall short is in call quality. I've adjusted them through the app in every way I can, and people still have issues hearing me. If not for this, these are easy 5 stars.

These new Jabra ear buds pack a lot of sound in the tiniest of speakers at just 6mm. Setting up and connecting to the app is easy. The Sound+ app is easy and quite useful for adjusting sound profiles and noise cancellation settings with separate hear through settings. The noise cancellation and hear through make use of the 4 microphones to adjust for how much background noise is filtered. You can customize ANC and hear-through with sliders independently and adjust the overall sensitivity. You can shift sound from left to right if you suffer slight loss in one ear over the other. I like that the app includes yoga style peaceful sounds that showcase their true sound reproduction. There's no sound bleed from the buds making it quiet to the people around me unlike my pods that everybody was annoyed with. The shape and comfort, while better than most, still come loose after a short period. I've always found this style of earbud to have the same fit issue than the pole style buds so I'm happy they stay in as well as they do with the help of the layer of shakegrip. I would've appreciated if the buttons were touch sensitive rather than clicking them, it just pushes them further in every time you pause or answer the phone. If you're looking for great sounding buds with the highest customizability of noise cancellation, the Jabra Elite 7 series, though pricey, fit the bill.

Loving these Jabra 7 earbuds. These "buds" are really nice, fit well and the sound is customizable with the Jabra Sound + app. Wearing these buds for long periods was comfortable. They have changeable silicon ear gels which gives you a pretty good choice in finding that perfect fit. To me, having a good fit that doesn't hurt your ears is paramount. These definitely fit this description. Pairing was uneventful to my IPhone 13 Pro. Literally it took only a few seconds and I was off to the races. The buds themselves hold enough charge for 8 hours of use, and up to 30 hours total charge when you factor in the carrying case. The product does not come with a charging accessory, but it does come with a USB-C cable. I especially liked the volume control option (located on the bud itself) which allows the user to lower and higher music or phone call volume. My music sounded pretty solid and having the IP57 rating is definitely a plus while sitting around the pool or working out. I also enjoyed the feature of when one of the buds is removed from your ear, the music went into an auto-shutoff. Place the bud back in your ear and the music started again. The Jabra Sound + app allows you to customize an equalizer setting to your choice and save the preset setting for later use. This is a real nice option which I enjoy each time I use the app. This is an awesome all around great set of buds. You are free of wires, have great battery life and can always top off your buds charge with the case. Wearing them is comfortable while exercising or on a walk, and they have a very pleasant customizable sound. Loving them.

I have owned a lot of different brands of true wireless headphones in several different price ranges. In my experience, a lot of Jabra products tend to be geared toward active users. So, right off the bat, these headphones have some specific features that are nice if you are someone who works out, moves around a lot, etc. and I would say that those features are noticeable and beneficial, for example, I found that they did have a snug but comfortable fit to ensure that they didn’t fall out when walking, jogging, etc. However, whether moving or standing still and I wasn’t nearly as happy with the sound quality. In my experience, and at this price point, I feel like you should be getting better than what these currently offer. It just didn’t have the depth of sound or deep bass that I’ve come to expect from good quality headphones, whether they’re true wireless or not. This is not to say that they don’t have decent sound, I just don’t think it’s on par with other brands at this price. However, as stated above you are paying for other features that you may not get with other headphones. So, depending on what features are most important to you, this might be an acceptable trade off, and I am admittedly very picky about my sound quality. Overall feeling is this is a decent pair of headphones with some good active user features, but the sound quality does fall a bit short for me.
