This is second purchase. Bought some for myself, and loaned them to my wofe, and she loved them way.lore than her Apple buds, so i had to buy a second pair. As most have said. These are by far the most comfortable buds i have tried. No fatigue wear at all. They sound very good, lots of bass, battery lasts a very long time. Best feature is the case which can connect to a device via 3mm audio cable, which makes it great for flights, so you can connect to in-seat entertainment. Overall a very solid and functional device. Love these!

Simply stated, these things are great. They have a nice balanced sound. But if the sound needs tweaking, an equalizer can be adjusted in the app (I had them paired to an Android phone). The noise cancellation also works quite well, and can be adjusted by pressing the button on the left ear bud. The settings are: off, noise canceling on, and pass-through (sound from the microphone is channeled into your ear). The right button controls pause/play. Of note is that the buttons are actual physical clicky buttons, and not just touch-sensitive areas, which makes accidental activation less likely. One of the selling points is that these are supposed to be tough and relatively waterproof, but I did test that part. I did note that they do tend to fall out of my ears. I have had that happen with other earbuds, so it is likely something to do with the shape of my ears, but for something that is supposed to be suitable for outdoor activities, adding some hooks to go over the ears would have been a nice touch. But I saved the best for last. These earbuds do a trick! It comes with a special cable that, while being USB-C on both ends, it also includes an adapter that connects to a 3.5mm audio jack! This means that you can plug this into any standard audio source, and get the sound in your earbuds! So this is perfect for flying, as you can plug the case into the monitor on the seat back. You can then listen to your movie and use the noise canceling at the same time! Being able to pass any audio source into the case is an amazing feature, but the downside is that you have to use the included special cable and adapter. If you lose the cable, you lose that feature entirely.

The Jabra Elite 8 Active earbuds are designed and tested to have military grade dust and moisture resistance. They claim to be the worlds toughest earbuds. While it's nice to know they are tough there are plenty of other features that I really like. I have smallish ear canals. The small ear gels fit my ear canal comfortably and seal outside noise out without any of the usual pressure. The earbuds grip my ear and feel secure without feeling jammed in like so many do. They are comfortable for a long time. These earbuds produce enough volume that I have never had to turn my phone to full volume. I am not sure why so many listening devices just won't get loud enough, is it a safety feature in the phone or the listening device I don't know the reason, but these are the only ones I have that get louder than I want. These earbuds have actual large depressible buttons on each bud. It's easy to tell when you have pressed a button and hard to accidentally activate them. The Dolby Digital spatial sound is a cool feature. The new LE Audio case allows you to use the supplied 2 ended (USB C & stereo mini-plug) cable to plug into an audio device and use the case to broadcast to your earbuds. No Bluetooth, no problem! The adaptive noise cancellation works great in a noisy restaurant. I have not yet been on a plane which is where I use noise cancellation most often. There is a hear through function which lets you hear the outside noises combined with whatever you are listening to. I am told that my phone calls have come across loud and clear even when I was outdoors in the wind. With the battery charge in the buds plus what's in the charging case they are rated at 32 hours with noise cancellation on and 56 hours without noise cancellation. The included app lets you scroll through preset EQ settings or adjust the EQ to your liking. I love the fit and comfort of these earbuds. So many of the features are a great improvement over any earbuds I have had. The sound quality is great. There is a lot to love here!

Rightly or wrongly sometimes I make first impressions on earbuds based upon how they fit out of the box with the middle size tips. The Elite 8 buds fit like a glove right out of the box. One slight downside with such a great snug fit is that they can be almost a little tricky to get out of your ear. I figured out a trick for me is to start from the very top and move your finger down towards the ear. The claim about staying in your ear throughout any movement is no joke. Setup and pairing with my iPhone was super easy. Downloading the Sound + App gives you control for noise cancellation, spatial sound, and EQ settings. There are other things provided by the app such as a find feature, user documentation, registration, updates, and support among others. Overall, I found it to be solid and easy to use. The only criticism using the app is very minor and would be that you cannot see the battery level of the charging case unless the earbuds are removed and connected. I found the sound quality to be excellent. Good low bass response and very solid across sound frequencies. The 5-way EQ allows you to dial it in just the way that you like and the spatial sound gives you that extra full surround experience. The noise cancellation was maybe not the best I’ve ever experienced but still very good and I like the way you can one touch switch between it and hear through modes. The controls are simple, effective and very easy to learn. The button requires a slight bit of force to reduce unintended presses but not too much, so it is never uncomfortable. The only time that I found myself accidentally pressing them was putting in or taking out the earbuds. Another cool feature is the smart case that allows you to use them with devices having a traditional 3.5mm audio connector and not Bluetooth. You must use the included USB-C cable that has a clever 3.5mm plug tethered to one end that the USB piggybacks onto. You are limited with sound controls in this mode to whatever the source device can do but a nice option in a pinch.

These earbuds from Jabra are very nice. They were easy to setup with my iPhone. I have not tried with my iPad yet but expect it to work the same. The sound is pretty good, and there are three outside noise settings (Flow Thru, Active Noise Cancel, Off). They have a lot of nice features and ability to customize functions. A lot of earbuds I have tried recently have difficult to use functions (tap twice and rub toward your lobe to reduce volume). These are simple and you can set them up. The earbuds come with the case, 2 extra gel sizes (medium installed, small and large separate) for different size ears, and the charging cord with USB-C and 3MM jack (no charging block). The case acts as the charger to plug in, and will offer a charge to maintain for 24 hr. One very cool feature is the case will stream from another device like a tv, laptop, etc with a USB-C or 3MM jack. Plug the case into the device and use the buds wireless like normal (you don't get earbud controls while streaming) There is a Jabra Sound+ app. I recommend you install it on your phone; you'll need this do any updates or customizations. Go through the Quick Start Guide it will explain all the features. There are 4 custom options for each earbud side for music and for calls (play/pause, skip, volume, Siri, ANC/Hear Through, others) The earbuds are also able to connect to 2 devices at the same time. & they work as a pair or single. They were mostly charged when I got them so they didn't take long to charge. I haven't run them out yet so they have a good battery and I haven't had to recharge again yet. Summary, I really like these earbuds. They sound pretty good, have nice features and are easy to use, like: Good Battery Connect to 2 devices at once Customized button controls w/ Jabra app Work as pair or single Can stream from a non-wireless device w/ case.

First let me start by saying I’m pretty much an audio shop. Most of my headphones and ear buds have come from a competitor over the years and I’ve generally been satisfied with them. I say all that because from the minute I set up the Elite Active 8 Gen 2 I’ve been completely blown away by how much better they sound than anything that other place puts out. You want bass? You got it. You don’t think you have enough? Adjust the 5 band EQ. You like Spatial Audio? Jabra does it, and does it well. All of these features are easily adjusted in the Sound+ app. You’ll also find a tutorial and quick reference, as well as the ability to re-map the controls to your liking. The charging case is very nice and seems to boost the batteries back up very quickly, too. Anyone who says these do not compare to the category leader might need a hearing exam. They are louder, fuller sounding, and better designed to stay in your ear. They’re also less expensive than the others even when they’re on sale, which means you’re getting great value too. I like them enough that i will likely pick up a second pair to keep in the car. i get absent minded and don’t bring my main set to the gym, resulting in either misery from the gym music or a double back trip.

The Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 ear buds are among the best ear buds I have ever tried. They fit well, have great sound and a feature that I have not seen anywhere else. The ear buds come attractively packaged. One little detail is the extra sizes of gels come individually packaged in a re-closable blister pack, which keeps them better organized. On first power up the ear buds enter pairing mode and quickly paired with my phone. Installing the Jabra Sound+ app allows for all the settings to be changed. The app is easy to navigate and well thought out. Sound quality is excellent, and the noise cancelling feature works well. There's only one setting for noise cancelling and I would have preferred to have at least two different levels of noise cancellation. I have found that the ear buds stay in my ears and fit well. I sometimes have trouble with fit and function but these seem to have no issues at all. One unique feature is that the case acts as a "smart case" for the ear buds, allowing spatial sound with various devices. The case basically acts as a "hub" for the ear buds when the case is connected by physical cable to a USB-C or 3.5mm audio plug on a treadmill, TV or other device. It took some time to figure out how to get that to work, but it works well once set up. One thing I would like to note - ever pair of bluetooth ear buds I have ever tried has a little bit of lag on a Windows PC. 90% of the time this is how I use wireless ear buds, to watch videos on a PC. The lag is still there when the ear buds are connected via bluetooth, but when using the above "smart case" hub feature the lag disappears. The audio and video are synced (people talking, mouth movements match sound). I have never seen this with any other ear buds. It's still not very convenient to have to plug the smart case into the USB-C or 3.5mm headphone jack, but it is nice to not have that lag present.

I am a heavy ear bud/headphone user, like daily for gym/exercise and while working since I work on my own. This means that I own several sets, sometimes I lose them or they wear out or get damaged. I like to find ones with good fit and feel as well as great sound. Some are ok. These are 5 star. Here is what I like: They fit snug, not too tight and comfy with a good ear feel and I am not worrying about them falling out while I am working or sweaty from the gym. The ANC noise cancelling is legit! They can eliminate ambient sound so I can enjoy my music, or you can select hear through mode. Huge difference! Seriously the noise cancelling mode leaves me just hearing the output. The app has many user customizable settings of which I am getting used to using by trial and error. Most sets are plug and play. These are much more than that. Soundscapes has several choices for background noise, whiter noise, rainfall, waterfall, songbirds etc. Not something I normally use, buy cool to play around with and I am finding uses and situations now to use it. The app also has find my headphones settings and if you use Spotify, it is integrated in the app as well, with the ability to open and start Spotify with a press of the ear bud!. The last thing I wanted to make a note of is the streaming connectivity. When using the case as a connection device with the cable provided, you can stream sound from ancillary devices that may not have bluetooth connectivity. Pretty cool too. I use this at the gym on the treads that have TVs. I highly recommend these! Solid set with lots of bells and whistles.

Oh my, these buds are so different in great ways. I have used many brands of earbuds but these new Jabra 8 Active Gen 2 earbuds are in a class by themselves.  These buds come with a smooth little case and a nice USB cord for charging. The earbuds are very fast to pair with your Bluetooth. I tried with my laptop and my cell, and the software finds and pairs in a blink of an eye. The buds exhibit a velvety soft cover material. They are small and fit easily into your ears. They are softer than any other buds I’ve tried and I hardly know they are inserted. I wear glasses and there is absolutely no pressure created that interacts with these buds. The sound is fantastic. I downloaded the Jabra Sound+ app and found it to be very intuitive to set up your personalized sound. I did choose the Android default for my voice assistant but could have chosen Google Assistant. It is easy to ask questions or get answers in your head! There is a wonderful GUI used in the app for setting the equalizer, well done and a tip of the cap to the Jabra engineers. These buds have proven ideal for using with phone calls and playing music. These earbuds are noise cancelling which is a must. However you can choose the cover noise such as pink or white noise, a waterfall, rainy day or other soundscapes – great. If you remove one earbud, the music stops which is always a nice feature. A 2 year warranty is included but only if you register the earbuds. I am enjoying these earbuds and highly recommend them.

The Jabra Elite 8 earbuds came well packaged with fairly easy instructions and diagrams to show the controls and power buttons. The Sound Plus software is simple to install and setup. The pairing of the earbuds is extremely fast. Navigation and information within the app are well written, clear and concise. The earbuds themselves are very comfortable. I have sensitive skin and one of my ears is shaped different so that most ear buds fall out. The Jabra Elite buds are a soft rubber that helps grip the ear yet remains comfortable after hours of use. I was hoping the left one would stay in better, but it still falls out (no fault of the ear bud design). The right one is perfect. The silicone piece that goes into the ear is very easy to clean. The sound quality is exceptional! Very clear and immersive. Perfect for music, movies or streaming videos. Controls can be customized in the app. I hooked up with Google Assistant and really enjoy the ease of getting weather, playing music and checking my notifications without having the phone in my hand. I can say that the noise cancellation feature works very well - I was listening to music in my studio and my husband came in and said he was talking to me for a couple of minutes before he realized I couldn't hear him. Overall, great earbuds with exceptional sound.

I’ve tried a lot of in ear headphones including a lot of Jabras. Jabrq tends to be consistent in what they offer, and its quality products at a high level. The Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 Military Grade Wireless In-ear Headphones were no exception. From their exceptional build quality to their impressive features, these headphones are a testament to Jabra’s continued quality. The noise cancellation on the Elite 8s is pretty fantastic. I have been a proud owner of Jabra headphones for many years, since the time of 65t in fact. While the 75t will remain my favorite running headphones of all time, I have continued to purchase Java products due to their excellent fit and reasonable durability for fitness. Jabra, however, has struggled to provide timely software updates since before I became a customer, often promising features that either were extremely delayed or never came to fruition. Examples of this include the master-slave design of earbuds and not being able to use them independently even after promising to fix it via software (which never came to pass), to the long-promised addition of the LC3 codec to the Elite 8 and Elite 10 (first gen). As Jabra has just announced it will be pivoting away from the consumer headphone market, I can only imagine this support will continue to decline as time goes on and executives prioritize the shifting of resources to their enterprise division. While the Jabra Elite 8 (first gen) have been excellent and I assume the second gen will be just as good hardware-wise, their long-term software support and even hardware support will be questionable at best as time moved on. Consumers should be aware of both Jabra’s support history and their future plans before investing in their products.

Love these Jabra Elite 8 Active, second generation earbuds. This is going to sound a little funny at first but the very best thing about these earbuds is how they pause the music on my iPhone when I take one of the earbuds out of my ear. It doesn’t matter if it’s the right or left bud, the music will pause. When I put the bud back in the music resumes. Why is this such a fantastic feature? I travel for work. On the plane I might be listening to a book, watching a movie etc. and the flight attendant will ask me something. If I take my old buds out the book/movie/music keeps playing and I’ve missed something important. The Jabra buds pause while the bud is out of ear and resumes when the bud is back in. Fantastic. Noise cancelling is wonderful, I can be in the office with people everywhere and all I hear is the item I’m playing. Call quality is very good. Also, I can walk away from the phone thirty or more feet and the sound quality never deteriorates. Setup: Pay attention to what app you choose, there are several out there for Jabra products. The inside of the box has a picture showing “Jabra Sound+” is the app to choose. Once the app is installed you can choose the sound mode (Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), HearThrough or Off). There are Music presets so you can boost the bass or treble. And I really like that the app has Soundscape and delivers 12 sounds to choose from including pink noise for sleep.
