Bought these as a Christmas present for my son. He uses them outdoors & indoors and has been very happy with them. Less expensive than Sony & good performance. He reports these have better sound than more expensive Beats headphones.

Best Call Quality and Battery Life

---HIGHLIGHTS--- Amazing Call Quality, Long-Lasting 36 Hour Battery, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, Great Sound, Water Resistant, Comfortable, Bluetooth Version 5.0, USB-C Charging ---DESIGN and CONTROLS--- These headphones are comfortable, very well made, and feel capable of standing up well to regular indoor and outdoor use. They are certified as being rain and dust resistant. The water resistance could prove to be invaluable if you plan to use it outside. They use a USB-C port for charging. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge them and a 15 minute charge can provide 5 hours of use. A short USB-C cable is provided and it fits nicely in the included hard carrying case. The battery is rated to last as long as 36 hours. I have been using them extensively for the last week and can confirm that the 36 hour rating is accurate. I used them on a round trip from New York to London, and after 9 hours of use each way I had a very impressive 80 percent of the battery remaining. These headphones offers the very best battery life available. They also have an optional 3.5 mm audio input. A flight adapter and audio cable is included, and they both fit in the carrying case. Also included is a hard carrying case that will do an excellent job of protecting them while traveling. There is not a power button. To turn them on you rotate the ear cups to the open position. To turn them off you rotate the ear cups to the closed position. There are numerous control buttons that take some practice to learn, but once you get the hang of them they work well. Compatible with Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa. ---CALL QUALITY--- Jabra is known for making products that offer premium call quality and these headphones live up to that reputation. I own several pairs of high quality headphones and I can say without hesitation that the call clarity of these headphones is better than anything I have ever used. ---SOUND QUALITY--- The overall sound quality of these headphones is excellent. I found them to be very pleasing to the ear and they produced sound that was very clear, detailed and full range. After testing them extensively in flight and at home, I can confirm that the Adaptive Noise Cancellation works well. If they had been released 2 years ago I would say they were the state of the art, but considering the stiff competition I would rate them as a very close second to the Sony WH-1000XM3. The EQ in the Jabra App can be used to adjust the sound to individual preference and to compensate for source material that is mixed to different levels. The App allows a great degree of customization of the sound and controls. It uses Bluetooth version 5.0 which offers less compression that the original codec. It also allows 2 devices to be paired at the same time. ---BOTTOM LINE--- If you need the very best call quality you can get, then the Jabra 85h headphones are the ones to get. In the area of call quality, they exceed anything else on the market, even my beloved Sony WH-1000XM3’s. In the area of noise cancellation, the Sony WH-1000XM3’s have a slight edge. But most people under most conditions, will be very impressed with the adaptive noise cancellation that these headphones offer. If you are not in a very challenging noise environment you may not even notice any difference between these and the more expensive Sony’s. So if you want to save some money these headphones are certainly worth a look.

After winning 13 awards at CES 2019, I could not wait to personally audition a pair of Elite 85h! These are truly REVOLUTIONARY Smart Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones! Here are the Top 10 reasons why: 1- An industry-leading 8 Microphones for noise cancellation! 4 are input to the digital Active Noise Cancellation. The fortunate wearer can choose to blend in with the environment, or to isolate from it. 2- Artificial Intelligent Algorithms monitor the environmental sound & adjust your personal sound accordingly. This is true Cutting-Edge Technology! 3- Custom Equalizer Settings allow you to fine tune your sound through the app. 40mm drivers deliver solid, accurate bass. 4- The Active Noise Cancellation can literally turn itself "ON" if it hears sounds in your listening area by way of a simple setting. 5- 36-Hour Battery Life with Active Noise Cancellation ON. Further details: Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C Charging; 15-Minute charge gives 5 Hours of listening with ANC ON. 6- Professional Fit & Finish, built on an aluminum frame for rigidity, consistency & comfort. 7- Deep Padded Ear Cushions allow for hours of relaxed listening. These Ear Cushions, regrettably, are not user replaceable. 8- Rugged Heavy Duty Hinges are built for frequent use in virtually any environment. 9- Water Resistance (sweat & rain) is another practical benefit that is missing on a number of more expensive "big brand" headphones. 10- Cool Factor: Twist the ear cups to turn on these headphones. Modern Design & a Generous Sized Carry Case enhance the "Cool Factor". Controls are well placed & are intuitive. Remove the headphones from your head & the music pauses. CONCLUSION: To catch the spirit of the Revolution, you must audition a pair yourself. Jabra priced the Elite 85h Headphones considerably below market, considering the superior Active Noise Cancellation & the accurate audio response they deliver. The Jabra Elite 85h earned 5 Stars in a very tough & competitive field.

The sounds from these headphones is FANTASTIC. I'm noticing new sub-tones and different instruments in songs i've listened to for years. Lately I've used only Apple and beats headphones, and I mis the easy device switching that those provide. Aside from that missing feature(which they can't be expected to have really) I have no complaints.

The headphone produce decent sound. However, they are not a good noise canceling headphone. I listen to music while on my riding mover and it does not drown out the engine noise like others do. The app is difficult to pair with the headphones using Bluetooth, and the app controls all the sounds functions.

This pair of headphones has managed to do a great job combining form with function. For the price it is competitive but not over selling itself. ANC works great and Does a great job in coffee shops to allow me to focus on my content. A great option all around.

I was excited about these headphones especially due to BT5. Well, the sound was good but returned item and got the Sony WH-1000xm3 instead. These headphones are heavy and compress on head too much, very uncomfortable over time and creating headaches. Also the hinge where the cups are connected are tiny and plastic, likely will break over time. Automatic music pause when removing headphones was a hit and miss (more miss). No power button and turning both cups all the way to turn off is a failure. But as said, sound was good and is BT5.

These headphones have an awesome sound and for their size are very lightweight. The sound + app that you download on your device to use with the headphones is a great addition for being able to filter out background noise and use custom EQ settings.

First thing I noticed is the charging port is USB-C which is very unusual. The documentation is amongst the best I have seen recently. Very easy to understand and painless to use. My wall charger for my Pixel 1 phone was nearby so I used it to charge the headset. There is a charging cable included in the box which I found later on. I then installed the Jabra Sound+ app for my Pixel 3XL. I wore the headset to pair it to the Pixel 3 XL smartphone. It was easy. Brochure states up to 36 hours (with ANC on) & fast charge (5 hours in 15 min) ANC = Smart Active Noise Cancellation to block unwanted background noise. Smart Sound audio automatically adapts to surroundings. I can say the touch controls to increase/decrease sound volume was easy the first time I tried it. Really like the semi hard shell carrying case. Takes up more space than a bag but offers more protection. Pressed the small button on left earpiece and heard “ANC”. Played the news on sound volume 35 on cable TV. ANC did work. TV is 8’ from where I was sitting. When I turned down the sound on the TV to 20 the headset worked better. TV is in family room which is next to the kitchen table. Most of our waking hours is spent here and 20 is where we normally set the sound. Sound quality is good but there’s lots of competition out there. Oh one last thing. This headset is very comfortable to wear. Very important to keep in mind when shopping for such a product. Overall I recommend this product for it’s thoughtful design and innovative features.
