    Jabra Evolve 65 (R)evolutionary music & talking

With red accents the Jabra Evolve 65 is a great looking stylish headset. The battery provided enough power to make it through a full work day. It was comfortable for all-day wear for me due to well-cushioned earpads and light weight. Voices are clear and music reproduction is good. You can use it as a wired headset by connecting it to your computer with a USB cable (included). The Evolve 65 folds flat for storing in the included carrying case. Dual Bluetooth capability lets you connect to multiple devices simultaneously and the integrated busy light provides a signal to others when you are busy. They also use passive noise cancellation. I would prefer active noise cancelation and a dedicated mute button.

As a person who works from home, this headset has come in handy! I love the added features such as Bluetooth capabilities, passive noise cancellation, busy light, tap to connect and the wonderful 10-hour battery life. I teach on-line classes, and sometimes, I have to move around for a few minutes, having the range to maneuver because of the range on this headset has been a sheer joy! Moreover, I don’t receive static or disconnects when I have to step away. Needless to say, this headset points to win, win, win for me!

I got the Jabra Evolve 65 for office use (phone calls, online meetings, etc). The headset serves this purpose pretty well with the following features: Bluetooth connection - up to 100' pc or smartphone Busylight turns red when in use to avoid interruption Connect to pc & one other bluetooth device at the same time 10 hrs battery time, 2 hours charging time Noise cancelling microphone I used the headset thus far for phone calls, Facetime and on my pc with the Rosetta Stone program. I was very satisfied with all of these uses. Audio quality on my end and the feedback from the other caller was all very good. It is also convenient that the mic turns and tucks into the headset band when not in use for the times one is listening only. The headset is lightweight, portable and comes with a nice neoprene case. My one suggestion to Jabra would be to add some layer of padding to the headband arch. Perhaps it's just me getting used to the headset, but I felt it could have had a somewhat more comfortable feel as it rested on the top of my head.

Bought those because MUST of jabra stuff is awesome, this wasn't the case, they cause Echo (confirmed not to be the room, it happen in all type of locations) and due to that people wouldnt hear you properly, if you are using them on a Cellphone, they "ok", but on computers are pretty bad, switches over from one device to another without prior advice, sound of quality its also poor...I ended replacing with a Logitech 140 cheaper, and those are just greeeeeat!

I do a lot of usability testing for work which requires to have a headset or microphone with a crisp quality of sound. This headset went above and beyond my expectations. Not only is it wireless and connected via Bluetooth, the setup is super easy and the headset has a high-quality fabric case that holds the dongle and the headset. The controls are all able to be adjusted via the headset itself and it requires no software or downloads of any kind! It completely plugs and plays which I find to be very hard to come by these days. Lastly, and most importantly, my clients and customers have even mentioned how crisp and high quality my voice is. I have had no issues with background noise as it is noise canceling. This is a definite buy if you are in need of a headset and want the personalization, quality and comfort that this provides.

    Good sound, poor extra features

To get it out of the way early: the sound is good. We put up our headphones next to our usual standbys at home and the output is decidedly clearer with better separation between the high and low tones. Midtones are crisp, which is good because Jabra advertised the Evolve 65 as being useful for phone and Skype calls. Using it on a regular call over Bluetooth (we avoided testing with VoIP apps because they almost uniformly sound better than a typical call), the quality was very clear, both for the headset user and on the other end. Range is also excellent – I was able to leave my phone on the kitchen table and walk across the entire house and the person on the other end could still hear me fine. I appreciate that the headphones come with a USB cable that doubles for audio output with a computer, and that they shine a “busy light” when you’re on a call. Overall, these two features position the headphones as business oriented, so that just makes the decidedly un-businesslike random orange stripes on the headphones baffle me more. If these are professional headphones, why does the busy light glow a sinister red, and the Bluetooth light alternate red before turning vivid blue? Combined with the orange stripe, these form a mishmash of colors that don’t fit any professional palette, definitely not one I would expect to see used in an office. And that leads to the main thing that bothers me about these headphones. Obviously for true audiophiles, sound quality is everything. But the Jabra Evolve 65 falls into this weird midtier price and quality range where the headphones trade as much on their extra features as their audio, and the features as they arrive are really disappointing. The design of the headphones feels cheap. Orange stripe notwithstanding, the plastic construction is hollow and thin. The boom mic is advertised to have a magnetic slot to discreetly stow it along the headband, but this quickly loses its seamless appearance the second you elongate the headphones for fit, and worse, it doesn’t actually stick at all! The moment you put the headphones on it instantly pops out of its slot and refuses to be put back in, making you look ridiculous – unless you were wearing it in the privacy of your office cubicle and nowhere else. The ear cushions are too small to actually cover anyone’s ears, and this instantly tells you their claim of “passive noise cancellation” is really no cancellation. I was listening to John Legend’s latest single and could easily hear my wife smugly remark “You look like you have an antenna sticking out of your head” from across the kitchen. The 10 hour battery life is on the low end of dedicated over-ear headphones available, which usually run about 20-40 hours. Finally, the active button on the side of the Jabra headphones are labeled “NFC” despite having no NFC functionality whatsoever, and I still am at a loss as to why this would be the case. I hope this review adequately explains why I struggle so much to recommend this product. No doubt these headphones sound good, but it’s important to recognize that for $170 you expect a measure of good design with good sound, or excellent sound with poor design, and the Jabra Evolve 65 satisfies neither of these. I get that my criticisms might sound like nitpicks, but these are nitpicks advertised as features you would pay for but not actually be able to enjoy – which begs the question, why not look at a cheaper set that doesn’t offer these but sounds equally good? The short battery life seals the deal as making this a pair of headphones I could only wear to get through the workday, charge when I clock out and not use again until I return to work. Don’t get me wrong – my wife and I both own Jabra products, and we like them a lot. But for the money, it’s hard to see the value in this one.

Hello MizuNoHane - We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with the audio quality and range of the Jabra Evolve 65. Sound is our expertise, so we are glad to hear it offers the sound levels you expect from a headset. We would also like to address a couple other concerns you have:
The Evolve 65 does support NFC, so as long as your phone supports this as well, you should be able to take advantage of it. If you are having trouble with this, please reach out to our technical support team so they can assist you: https://www.jabra.com/ServiceMenu/contact/ContactJabraSupport/ContactJabraSupportBusiness
Regarding the magnetization of the boom mic, you should be able to 'tuck in' the boom even when the headband is fully expanded. Please make sure the boom lines up properly with the magnetized area for it to stay securely.
Lastly, we appreciate your feedback regarding the style and design of the Evolve 65, and we will surely pass on your comments. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team so we can help. Thank you for your very detailed review! Jabra

The Jabra - Evolve Bluetooth headset is the perfect headset for me. I participate in meetings everyday for work and having this quality headset makes my job much easier. The bluetooth syncs up beautifully. Very easy to pair with my devices. The most amazing feature is, I can use two devices at one time and choose my connection preference on demand. Call clarity is perfect. I can hear people clearly even when I walk away from my laptop. The battery life is great too. I can use the headset all day on a single charge. I typically spends 3-5 hrs on calls. I like that I can move the speaker out of the way when I'm not using it. I would recommend this headset. It's awesome.

I connected this headset to my work laptop initially via bluetooth, but found that sometimes it disconnects when not in use for sometime and hard to reconnect. It works seamlessly when connected via the included cable. Sound quality is good, the caller can hear me clearly and vice versa. While connected wirelessly, I walked away from my laptop but just a few feet away, the call quality got a little distorted. For this I deducted 1 star. However, overall I would recommend this headset specially for use at work using Skype. The quality is much better than the Plantronics headset I used to use.

The E65 headset is a conversation piece wherever I travel with it or use it out and about. I find its a very good conferencing headset, works great with all of my conferencing services - I use them all - And doubles as a great pair of wireless headphones when I'm between meetings, whether through the Link360 adapter included, or directly paired to my mobile device or iPad. The comfort is great for all-day, and I'm large-headed, but have no trouble with its over-head band.. The boom mic is perfect and does a good job of blocking exterior noises, so much so that I use this headset for recording training programs and webinars often. The included carrying case is also great for traveling with the headset. This is an overall winning set from Jabra - And I've used a lot of great gear from this company.

    Not Best Choice for Music

My son was looking to try a set of on-ear headphones. Mom always calls up and he can't hear her with any of the over ear varities. While that problem has mostly been solved (he just ignores her now), the sound quality just isn't as good for listening to music. They suffice fine for those lengthy Fortnite sessions as they're lighter, and good enough quality for voice calls, just not the right solution if you're looking for something primarily for music listening.

I purchased these to use in a technical support office setting. Initially a big selling point for me was the use of the Link 370 USB dongle that the headphones come with. It allows dual-pairing between my cell phone as well as my computer. The ones I purchased were not optimized for Skype, but with the link 370, every program I have used has recognized it as an audio device and it works fine. I would NOT recommend using the headset directly bluetoothed to the computer. Win10 audio drivers are atrocious and treat the headset as 2 or 3 separate devices. Occasionally when paired with my iPhone 7, people have complained that they cannot hear me. I called Jabra and worked through all of their recommended steps. Eventually they shipped me a new headset. Excellent customer service! Sound quality is pretty good. Good enough for office listening anyways. There is also minimal sound leakage and the adjacent cubicles never complain about my music. Overall, I would highly recommend

This has got to be probably the worst sounding pair of headphones I have ever owned. The sound quality is terrible. These headphones put out almost no bass. All you get is mids and treble. When pairing these with my Playstation 4 I kept getting weird digital noises along with the sound of the games I was playing. It was very annoying. They give you no sense of surround either. There is no volume button on the headphones so that you have to change the volume on the device you have it connected to. Unfortunately just like a set of Alien headphones I recently reviewed, these headphones have to be connected to your device via a USB dongle. For me this means that I cannot charge a controller while using these headphones as my external hard drive is connected to the other USB port on my PS4. The headphones are comfortable and fit my head well but who cares. I would never want to use these things because they sound like garbage.
