Comfortable, accurate heart rate, & good audio

I've bought a couple of these devices so far (one for me and one as a gift#. I must say that I'm superbly impressed with them. To date, I've evaluated numerous optical heart rate monitors, and I am especially fond of companies that use PerformTek as the basis for their heart rate monitoring, as I've found this technology to be by far the most accurate and reliable. Several companies have been using PerformTek in their earbuds, and at least one company #Scosche# has used it in their arm bands. But I must say that when it comes to earbuds using PerformTek, Jabra got it right. I'm quite impressed with what Jabra brought to the table with this product -- incredible European engineering in audio, ergonomics and user experience. Also, they made sure that this biometric sports headset works with not only their own native app #which is surprisingly quite good# but also with leading mobile fitness apps #such as MapMyFitness, Runkeeper, Endomondo, Strava, etc.#. Likes: 1) Jabra's ergonomics are quite impressive -- especially considering that they needed to find a way to fit in the heart rate sensor into the earbuds while still having it be comfortable and have good audio. Also, they have several options for ear gels, and they even provide a "fit test" on the mobile app so that you can see which ear gels work best on your ear. 2) Audio quality -- fantastic. 3) Size & weight -- this is the most sophisticated, high-compact sports computer I've ever tested. Jabra packs a lot of power in these lightweight, tiny earbuds. 4# Mobile app -- I have an iPhone, and so I can't speak to the Android implementation. But so far, I've had not a single app crash testing with Jabra's app or anyone else's app paired with the device. Jabra's native app #which is not required for you to use since their device works with all the apps# is surprisingly good as it has a number of built-in fitness tests and a cool feature that allows you to setup your own workout with voice prompts. 5) Extra features -- Jabra added a button on the left earbud that, when you press it, tells you your instant heart rate, cadence and what ever other metric you program it to state. Also, the charge port is hidden in the right earbud. 6) Phone call feature -- I've found that the microphone is quite good and convenient for phone calls. In fact, sometimes I just leave the headset on me post exercise and use the headset as my phone. Dislikes: 1) Cable -- the cable is quite nice, but I do wish it moved more freely over my shirt. 2) Color -- I'd prefer a sportier color, but I understand that this their 1st product. 3) Really, I'm struggling for dislikes, as this is an amazing feat of engineering by Jabra. Bottom line: The Sport Pulse is the most sophisticated, comfortable, accurate and easy-to-use audio sports computer ever developed. If you like to exercise listening to music, and if you like tracking your heart rate zones, you'll love this product: good audio, great comfort and fit and supremely accurate continuous heart rate monitoring.

Fit perfectly, stay in during workouts, and have great sound quality. Only criticism I have is a lack of volume - I'm not hearing impaired, but like it LOUD. They just don't quite reach that level. I tried two other models of bluetooth sport headphones before these and they were awful in comparison. As for the heart monitor, what can I say? It works great and the Android App is very handy to track progress.

I have been using this headset for several months now and enjoy it, but can't say I love them. I bought it for the ease of having the integrated heart rate sensor and automatic data readout, both great features. However, I still need a mobile phone to synch it with for GPS, app and data storage and wearing a phone on your arm isn't nearly as natural as a watch. Integrate a medical-quality HR sensor into a watch along with GPS and synch to bluetooth headphones, like these, that perform readout from the app, and you're golden. So, while these headphones perform their job well, they are short-lived. The Jabra sports app doesn't let you log into a website and see your data, and its export to other apps is limited. You can use this app with Runtastic and a few other services, however some functions are missing, such as the automatic readout. The bluetooth tends to disconnect from the phone a couple of times every 120 seconds or so, and if you don't tie back the connecting wire on the back of your neck, the slapping of the wire creates a banging noise in your ears that can be annoying. Overall, I'm happy with these headphones, but only until the perfect running watch comes out (the Garmin Fenix 4 with built-in HR sensor), then I'll just use them as bluetooth running headphones.

The headphone is generally good as a sound quality and comfortable fitting. The only matter that forced me to give 4 stars instead of 5 is the cord, which is sticky and sometimes sticking on your neck pulling the plug from your ears..

The earbuds take a little getting used to- they are definitely a snug fit. I find it easiest to rotate them back and forth until they are well-seated in my ear. Pairing wasn't seamless, but wasn't too bad either. It took a minute or two of fussing with it. The heart rate performs pretty well compared to a chest strap. The app is generally pretty and the getting started process was pleasant. The in-run app was a little annoying with the breathy voice for pace and heart rate info. By the end of my run, I just wanted her to "spit it out already!" The GPS pace was way off, but I think the distance was right. Fortunately the weaknesses of the product are with the app and could be fixed with updates. The price is a bit steep for the features, but overall a good product.

Ended up getting these when I took my beats blu tooth ear buds back. Those had way to much base that cause them to sound distorted. These are by far superior to those. Sound quality if good and can be great when you get a tight fit and use their app vs itunes. Don't really care for their app because it has to resync each time you open it, but does improve the sound quality. Fit is good, still trying to get the perfect fit using all of the different options. Fits snug without falling out due to fit and weight. Havent lost signal while using. Overall very happy.

I was hesitant to invest so much money into a pair of headphones, but I'm glad I did. They sound great, and the heart rate workout monitor is actually quite useful. The best part is the nice snug fit in my ears. First pair of headphones I've ever owned that didn't have a problem coming out of my ears. Very happy with the purchase.

The heart rate monitor is ok, just to have to wiggle the headset to start monitoring. Able to use as headphone and the receiver don't seem to have any problems. The bluetooth is ok, you can't really go far away from the phone and sometime, it skip a beat even though the phone is next to you. I like how the cord is long enough that I look like I am wearing a headset connected to the phone. Overall, I am content of functionality especially I am able to use the protection plan if there is any problems.

The wireless earphones work fine, but you will notice it cut out for a second now and again during every song. This is regardless of how far you are from your source/phone. I had my phone in my pocket and it would cut out for a second during every song for some reason. Also, with the controller on the right, the headphones will pull to the right which makes the headphones pull out of the left ear if you turn your head. The sound is average as well. I expected a little more bass and control with the EQ function....but no. For the price, you can get better sound and control. Much less spend much less and get better sound.

I'm not much of a music guy when it comes down to sound quality. I just wanted a pair dependable and wireless noise canceling headphones. It does a great job in doing so. It took me a couple tries before finding one that fits perfectly. It doesn't fall off when I use it for running and lifting weights. The battery life on these are about four hours. The Jabra app you have to download works great and read my heart rate accurately.

Have lasted longer than any Bluetooth headphones I had in the past. Jay buds would last me about a month before exchange. I've jabra sports for two months with no issues. Battery life is the only downfall so far as they only last about 4.5 hours. The heart beat tracking is nice but after a month of use I turned it off. It would be nice if it worked with nike plus running app. More positives than negatives for this headset!

This item has a neat app that can keep you working out. I've had a few issues with weird Bluetooth dropping out and I'm not sure the app is tracking miles when one is on a treadmill, but the device lasts plenty long and is a no hassle head set. The heart beat tracking feature is great because the headset will periodically tell you when you need to up your game. Worth the price even though it's expensive.

These are everything you want in a pair of Bluetooth headphones. The sounds is of a pleasant quality and the volume is great for others like myself that work in noisy environments. I had a one other pair that survived being ran over by a vehicle in a parking lot(glued the pieces back together and they worked like day 1) and dropped in a hot tub(let dry for a few hours; no damage). My only issue is the lack of a mini potato chip clip to clip the cord to the back collar of my shirt. Having this would make a game changing experience for me as the cord will try to grab my neck when I turn my head pulling at one of the buds. Also, I usually only have one ear bud in so the loose one will weigh down and pull at the bud in my ear.

These are awesome. I use them 4 times a week both at the Gym and running or cycling. The noise cancellation is too good, so extra caution when running. Perfect for the Gym. Heartbeat monitor works better than my moto 360 watch. Battery, I only have to charge once a week and i get about 3 to 4 solid hours of battery life. I also got the best buy replacement plan because they are portable and anything can happen. Great Value for the money. I paid about $250 all in with device and replacement plan. I would buy these again.

I purchased these headphones and used them on a few runs. The fit in the ear is pretty good, but not great. I expected a higher level of audio quality as well. The heart rate monitor and distance tracker were unreliable and erratic. For $200.00 I expected a lot more. I returned them and purchased the bluebuds instead. Not as many features, but much better quality over all.

The ear-buds started off weird. They wouldn't sense my pulse, despite the different configurations I used with regards to the ear pieces. However, after a couple weeks and since the ear-buds have been tracking my pulse consistently. They have been fantastic as they have really provided me a minute-by-minute tracking of my pulse, and the sound is really nice too. The Bluetooth works seamlessly, and was super easy to set up. Not sure what the issue was at first, but they've been awesome. I usually run on a treadmill, and configuring the headphones to track distance properly was easy. LOVE THEM!

Great headphones, have good sound quality. Fits comfortably in the ears, only things that I disliked about these headphones is that a couple of month of use they stopped working! They would not pair to any of my devices, I even did a software update and that still didn't fix the problem.
