Tom Cruise never disappoints! He always promises a good movie and delivers. While not as good as the first Reacher, is still a good two hours of fun.

While it is the second Jack Reacher film, for those who haven't watched the first, it does give enough in this film that you don't need to have seen the first (though you might want to because that was good also). According to the extras, this story is rather unique since Jack usually is more of a loner. He is helped by the woman (Cobie Smulders) who took his position after he left the military to help in the introductory part of the movie. Intrigued by the sound of her voice and the conversations they have, Jack goes to DC to meet her for lunch only to find out that she has been put into military prison instead by the MPs she once headed for treason. While starting to look into his friend's charges, which he is pretty certain are false, Jack discovers that he might also have a daughter. That puts the girl (played by Danika Yarosh) in danger when Jack's investigations put him in the cross hairs of the men who have framed his friend and buried several others involved. When he frees his friend in a jail break, they have to grab his "daughter" since the men are more than willing to use her against Jack making for an interesting time as fugitives. Suddenly forced into a family of sorts, the three work together to unravel the deceptions of the paramilitary company that have both framed them for treason and are out to kill them as well. It was a very good movie with the 3 main characters putting up performances that made you really love them and hope that they could get out of the predicament safely somehow. For those who like characterization to go with their action, this film should be right up their alley.

This movie is a pretty good follow up to the first. New characters and new environments. If you liked the first, you will like the second.

Whoa Nelly! Tommy Cruisin' for a Bruisin' is back and he brings the heat once again in this one. I believe this is part 2 of the biography film that Tom wrote and directed himself. He couldn't fit all of his story into just 1 movie so I believe this is the middle chapter of the inevitable trilogy biopic. Based on what I know of him and what I've posted on his wikipedia it is very accurate as well. Colbie Cheese Smolders joins the fun in this action packed adventure and she really nails the Katie Holmes role. I don't know that Katie achieved the rank of Major at any point but I think they took some liberties to beef up the characters background. The picture really pops in 4K and even though this sequel scraps the Dolby Vision in favor of plain old HDR it still enhances the many butt whoopins' ole Tom Boy lays on everyone in his path. If you're a fan of TomKat, you'll be a fan of Tom Reache 2 Never Go Back. Highly Recommend!

Good movie and we have bought the collection over time so this way we have movie nights with night with a ongoing story

I have the first Jack Reacher and liked it. It was on sale for 6.99 so it was great purchase and liked the movie.

I like action movie. Tom Cruise is always good in action. This movie exposes some corruption in any government.

better sequel than most, not as good as some. I love Lee Childs Jack Reacher series books and this movie follows reasonably well

Got the Blu-ray because it had a price drop. Liked the movie and my daughter wanted to see it again.

Jack Reacher was great with plenty of action and Tom Cruise does it again. The family loved this movie.

4k UHD Blu-Ray version, with additional standard Blu-Ray and a digital HD copy. Digital version used an Utlraviolet code, but it was honored by the studio site (in Sept 2021) and unlocked at Vudu (notable since Ultraviolet itself is now defunct). I watched the UHD disk - pretty picture all the way through with good quality, great audio with clear dialog even when things got loud. No noticeable film grain, but also no overly-digitized fake-looking skin tones or scenes, it was solid. I won't go into the movie itself - I might give it three stars as a movie, because of a few major plot holes (I think I liked the first better, despite its ridiculous ending). But as a disk you get solid quality here, plus the convenience of a digital copy that's still redeemable.
