Probably the most underrated Tarantino film he is done. Pam Grier is amazing I loved that they picked her to star in this film, the cast as a whole completely nailed it. The soundtrack is also well picked, amazing classics.

While this film has received a lot of well-deserved praise it does feel like it's overshadowed by it's bigger and crazier predecessor Pulp Fiction and that's a shame because this is the film where Tarantino shows signs of maturing as a director and I would say it's next to Reservoir Dogs as my personal favorite of his. The Blu-ray transfer supervised by Tarantino is leap years above the now aged Special Edition DVD in terms of clarity and color and the audio is no slouch either. Extras are about the same as the previous releases but the DVD release was already loaded and at the Blu-ray's current price the lack of a lot of newer extras can be overlooked.

I know this is not one of the favorites of most Quentin Tarantino fans but if you watch it carefully you will enjoy the subtleties and well developed story. This is one of the best Elmore Leanord adaptions for film ever
(even better than the different genre film "Get Shorty"), only television's Justified has done a better job of taking the frame of an Elmore L story and building a well crafted house. Robert DeNiro as you haven't seen him before is worth the price of the blu ray alone but Robert Forster and Pam Grier are great in this and their acting probably beats him out, but only by a hair. A must have for any E.L. or Tarantino fan.

Like all Tarantino movies, this one has sharp, brilliant dialogue, plenty of action and well-cast roles. Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson are so good that Robert de Niro is almost an afterthought, which is saying something. Tarantino had several chances to take the easy way out with how the plot unfolds (such as an overt love scene between Jackie and Max instead of just a largely implied attraction) but instead it goes in several interesting directions.
This is worth watching again and again, and deserves a place on the movie-lover's shelf, even if unfamiliar with the blaxploitation it references.

I've watched this several times. The acting is outstanding and the characters all ring true to life. They are definitely not all role models but we've all run into them in real life. Very nuanced performances so every time you watch it you see different things.

An all-stsr cast with setups, twists, turns, vernacular so Tarantino-esque & a soundtrack so fitting that it transports the audience into the period. It's a heist with just enough cat & mouse moves to keep any viewer on the edge of their seat.

This movie is a blast to watch. The characters being played were by very accomplished actors and they understood their rolls. The story Jackie Brown was very well written therefore very entertaining as I viewed with friends. They all had the same reactions that this movie is a must have in one's movie collection. Blu-Ray is the best for viewing.

I'm a big Quentin Tarantino fan, and this, though maybe one of his lesser known films, is by far my favorite. It's got such a cool, unexpected plot with fabulous characters and even better acting. Watch it. Now. Then come thank me after.

Jackie Brown is one of Tarantino's best. So well written and directed. Outstanding performances by a terrific cast. It's good to see Robert Forster and Pam Grier back in action.

While not the most talked-about QT film, it definitely holds up with his other work. Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson take it up a notch.

Jackie Brown was an interesting yet underrated Tarantino film. Samuel L and Deniro are pretty cool, sleazy gangsters doin their thing... but then the bombshell legend Pam Grier gets in on the action... smaller roles from a hottie Bridget Fonda, Robert Forster, and Michael Keaton round out the cast.

An older movie of Quentin Tarantino but as I am a fan this was a big hole in my collection. As he is a movie fan himself he brings back Pam Grier to play the lead role similar to roles she played in her early roles. Good supporting cast. If your a fan of Quentin you should own.

If you like Quentin Tarantino films and Elmore Leonard than you won't go wrong with this, Michael Keaton and Sam Jackson do a solid job. And the vacum cleaner guy from the last season of Breaking Bad is great.

Even though he didn't write the story he brought the magic to the big screen. A stellar cast and gets better every time you watch it. The extras are worth digging too. Buy it to add to the collection.
