So firstly, I love jackie chan, and I love these movies the most of Jackie's. I now have three copies of police story's 1,2 and 3 (supercop). the dragon dynasty DVD's are amazing editions with great extras, lots of docs; with jackie, Brett ratner and also Jackie's stunt Team. The blu rays alas cannot boast the extras the DVD's have, there are some but standard and also ones that are on the DVD's. Saying that I am keeping the blu rays because the video has not been upgraded that much and there is not much difference between the DVD and Blu ray but it is the sound that has had real pick up. So really if you don't own these movies and want good copies of the films and are not too fussed about the extras, get the blu rays. If you want the movies and some excellent extras, get the dragon dynasty DVDs. If you're a nut about jackie and his classic films, get them all.

I loved Jackie Chan movies way before the Rush Hour series, so I've been a long time fan. So was excited to hear that Shout Factory was releasing these movies on blu-ray, until I found out they were the same transfers used in earlier upscaled versions by another company. Aside from the picture, these movies are a lot of fun, Jackie at his absolute best. Plenty of action and decent plot. They are dubbed in english, but you can switch to the Cantonese track if you prefer. But if your a purist, and you can get your hands on the Hong Kong versions, they are the better route to go, better picture, sound & longer run times.

A great set of two classic Chan flicks. A nice deal for the price.

Gotta give it up to Shout Factory for releasing these exclusives on Blu. Both movies had good picture/sound quality and were fun to watch. I hope more Jackie movies get released on Blu, but these 2 I felt were done well and worth the price since you get 2 movies.
