Love it great movie, great price. I was looking for it for so long

This movie is heartwarming and I needed to have it.

This is one of my favorite Disney movies and I love it. I especially love how the movie went from live action to stunning animation. The insects steal the show, in particular the Earthworm (David Thewlis). I’m a huge Susan Sarandon fan and loved her as the spider. This is a heartwarming story about difficult beginnings and finding inner courage, resourcefulness and self-belief. You will be rooting for the boy who is taunted by his aunts as he is threatened with only a shadow of a suggestion which takes root and grows in the mind of a boy. If only parents realized what they do to the life of a child when they put fear in front of them. Burton takes you beyond the fear and rallies in a courageous boy's eyes! This is truly a great, great film, and you will not be disappointed.

Looking for family adventure then this is the movie for you.

A lil different than I remember as a kid but great trippy flick

Good looking, but ultimately disappointing animated fantasy from the Roald Dahl literary piece. It was the immediate follow up by the people who did NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I had bought them both on laser disc, and, while I really liked the earlier film, I was not thrilled by the later title. I hadn't seen it for a while, and thought I 'd try it in the new format, hoping the it would reveal heretofore unappreciated facets. But, alas, it still didn't work for me. It was cheap, so, at least, I have a better copy.

The movie itself was a little odd. Generally these movies are positive and fun but this movie really dragged on and was a bit depressing.
