    From the folks who brought us Downton Abbey. A gripping account of some of the first settlers in the New World. Some wonderful character studies. Starts a bit slow but quickly becomes addictive.

    We don't have cable TV, so it is a good opportunity to view a series on the first permanent English settlement in North America.

    A little slow getting started. Must pay close attention. After watching a couple of seasons it becomes quite interesting.

    This series sparked our interest after going to the original Jamestown site. I will need to get the other seasons now.

    I think this could have been great but it got lost in trying to appeal to too many demographics. Also caliber of actors not high.
