Bourne films are quite formulaic, I found Jason Bourne (2016) to be no different. Nevertheless, the film was a fun and intense ride to watch. Now nine years later from the last in the “true” Bourne storyline, technology has vastly improved, making this film seem more like a crossover of James Bond and Person of Interest. This, I feel, was Jason Bourne’s strength. Including the subplot focusing on technological privacy (pulled straight from current events) helped anchor this film to the popular culture in which we now live, instead of just being a series of chases in foreign lands. I also appreciated the semblance of a plot in this film, as it felt like Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) had not gotten many answers in the prior three films. At least this time around we learn something about him and his motivations, since the amnesiac super-soldier archetype can only go so far.

This is a great movie,you can't go wrong with this one if you like action.

Great Action very interesting story Line Looks Great on 4k Blu ray

To me, Jason Bourne (2016) is more disturbing than the Bourne trilogy. After at last finding out who he is, he tries to run away from that by being a streetfighter, only to be drawn in again. He quickly realizes that, to survive, he has to draw on who he is. The outside world, populated by relentless assassin and triple-crossing confidant, is every bit as grim. The agitated camerawork and constant shifts in zoom and angle reinforce the feeling that nobody, including himself, is as he/she seems. Of course, Jason Bourne also is a good action movie. The car chases and other set pieces are well-executed and look fantastic in 4K. Video detail is great and color is rich, without being overly bright. The DTS:X audio is more showy, but again details remain clearly present. Whether you are in the mood to overthink or relax, you can enjoy Jason Bourne 4K on your own terms.
