Good entry-level activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an entry-level activity tracker, but what's great about it is that it allows you to use the same Jawbone app that other higher-end Jawbone devices use. You do give up a few features, but the basic things (steps, sleep, exercise time, calories) are all here, and for most people, that's enough. It is a lot better than a basic pedometer. It counts steps obviously, but on your phone, it also graphs it for you so you can see throughout the day when you are most active, and that might motivate you to do more. One advantage that it offers is that it doesn't need to be attached to your wrist, so for cycling exercise (indoors or outdoors), you can keep it in your pocket and it will track the spins for you. With a wrist band, you cannot know how many spins you've made because usually the wrist is stationary. The battery lasts a long time (it says 6 months). I've had it for about 2 months, and it is still going strong. So unless you want more advanced things like heart rate, GPS and message notifications, this is a very good and low-cost way to start tracking your activities.

Dedicated Tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had burned through 4 Fitbit Flex before I gave up on them. Then I saw this tracker on sale and it was worth the $20 opportunity cost. It runs off a replaceable Lithium battery which means the charge is good for 4-6 months then a quick batter swap gets it back up and running. The hardware interface is quite easy to use, a quick press shows the current tracked state (activity or sleep), a double press shows the current time and a long press toggles between sleep and activity. There are different colored and shaped lights which indicate which mode it is currently operating in which makes for convenient identification. My biggest complain is that I have lost the unit 3 times already when it shot off my belt due to an arm brush or getting something out of my pocket. So far I have been able to find it each time but it is annoying when it happens. The android app is pretty clean thought I wish there was a way I could review the result on the web. The app has a feature called smart coach which attempts to motivate you to continually do better but increasing your activity, sleep and better caloric intake. This is great most of the time but it would be nice to have an "i'm injured" feature to explain why activity plummets to minimal. So in summary well-featured and easy to use for a great price tag. If you are considering getting into personal tracking and do not want to face the $200-$300 expenditure of other tracker this is a great alternative.

Best Tracker for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this about a month ago and I absolutely love it! It tracks your sleep, steps, and activity. the tricky part for me is remembering to click the device to let it know im starting a working or sleep mode. The app's golden feature of this product (although it IS available for free in the App Store for both iOS and Android). The app allows you to track your food consumption and calculates calories for you as well as calories burned from your workout. It lets you interact with others on the app and challenge them. I like that the app is more friendly than competitive (you can cheer your friends on!). I use the app a lot :) The actual device is versatile and can be attached to practically ANYTHING. I've never had it slip or even budge. The way it's designed allows for it to cling to anything. I also had it clipped to my sports bra during a workout and later went swimming to cool off and forgot I had it on. The device is waterproof although I don't think it's designed for water/swimming (not sure?) but it worked with me! I've taken it swimming a few times after that. This being said, sweat/rain/snow, etc. won't affect the function of the device. Awesome! I haven't had to replace the battery as of yet but from what I've read it lasts long. I don't use any accessories with it personally. I like that it's discreet as a clip-on and don't like wearing anything on my wrists so I retuned the wrist bands I had purchased with this. That's a personal preference though. Bought a second device for my mom!

Simple and affordable tracker to get moving
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tracker: One of the cheapest trackers in the market. No heavy on technology but still gets its word through the user. Get moving with only $50. No fancy lights (this one actually has a few to show time). No extra heart rate information. Just plain and simple step count with classic pinnable design. App: The best fitness app you can get out there. Works on almost all smart phones. The coach feature is really a great motivator. Take challenges and get rewards for completing them. Battery: put once and forget about 4-6 months depending on usage. Cons: Needs separate band to purchase for sleep tracking. At times it's difficult to put tracker in the mount, gets better with practice.

Some Good, but with Serious Flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: It's small and inexpensive. It does a good job tracking steps, and syncs easily and wirelessly with the UP app. It takes an easy-to-find watch battery, so it does not need to be charged. The Bad: It's not so good if you want to track sleep also. A wrist band is an extra $15, and it's a nuisance to get the thing in and out of it's clip. The UP app itself, is poorly designed and coded. It crashes frequently, sometimes crashing the phone itself (something I've seen no other app do.) And if you are tracking sleep, the app adds more sleep every time it syncs. On one day, it eventually said I had slept for over 23 hours between 11 and 6:30. This happened almost every day. BTW these app problems apply to any of the Jawbone trackers. And the Worst: The clip does not hold tightly to your clothing, causing the device to fall off while you are using it. Mine lasted about a week before falling off someplace where it could not be found. I replaced it with a different product, one that does not have the serious disadvantages as this one.

Best deal, Ever!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this item in the store for a better deal than the online sale. It has worked very well, exceeding all my expectations. I chose this over a wrist version, as I do not like things on my wrist (they get caught all too often). I have had it working for a few weeks, and have not yet needed to change out the battier. It syncs up to my iPhone perfectly and tracks steps very well (top goal 20,000+ steps so far). The goal tracker works very well, and tracks the idle time on the Up device, to track when I am sleeping.

So much better than a wrist tracker!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Jawbone UP for a year and started to get so annoyed having it on my wrist and I couldn't hide it when I was dressed up. It just wasn't the most attractive tracker for times you aren't casual or working out. I also didn't like it on my wrist when I was sleeping. I felt like I was being "strangled" in a sense. The Jawbone move tells you your progress, is blue-tooth enabled, and can be worn under clothes! I don't use the sleep tracker function, but this tracker is on my all other times of the day. Just remember to take it off of your clothes to put it in the wash!

Great tracker without the bulk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally don't like wearing too many accessories when working out maybe besides a watch, feels restricted. With the move you barely even know it's there, and I'm able to actually play many contact sports without worrying about damaging it or losing it. Another positive factor is battery life, last for months and don't have to worry about charging, just replace it in a second. Great purchase and would recommend it to anyone!

Great fitness tracker on a budget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has all the features that I need for only $50. The app is great and I can compare and compete with friends. Don't have to charge it so it's super convenient. Wish it would have come with a wristband but for the price I can't complain.

Great inexpensive activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my mom for her birthday. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive ones but perfect for her. Simple UI, great iPhone compatibility, and good battery life. If you're looking for an entry level device this is it!

Great Way to Track Steps Without Wrist Band
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is great to track steps and not having to wear a wrist band. There is low maintenance with a 6 month battery. It does have trouble syncing at times with the iPhone 4s. But it eventually syncs the data over. Just don't expect minute to minute updates. The sleep wrist band is hard to find.

Great Gift for your mom or dad in there 70"s or 80
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought one for everyone in my family including my mother , who told me she was up and around all the time when i was working . She's worse than a child... caught her , and now i can see that she isn't just sitting in her chair watching TV. I can keep track of my moms active and know she is getting around now. She did get slick and put it on the cat one time , and there was know way she had 30,000 steps that day. we still laugh about it, but i guess it could be use for your pets as well to monitor there actives .

Nice and simple design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i like the simplicity in its design. The best thing is that you won't need to worry about re-charging weekly like the Up24 because it uses a battery, and supposed to last 4 months.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does everything my old jawbone up did except alarm. Plus you can tell time with it. I like not having to charge every three days. Also the Bluetooth sync does great job. Now if will last longer than the jawbone up we will have a winner. Also it cost a lot less.
