If you are really interested in tracking your steps, movement, workout and diet, this thing is perfect. The price jump for the next model (Up3) with the heart rate tracker is pretty big for not a lot of bang. It measures your resting heart beat. That's it. Maybe with future updates if it can track you heartbeat full time it would be worth getting the Up3. For now, if you want fitness tracker that does just that, this is it.
Some people have complained about the clasp opening up, and that does happen sometimes. It was more frequent at the beginning. Make minor adjustments to the clasp, moving up to be a little tighter after it comes off and eventually it will be in the right spot to stop coming off, and still remain comfortable.
Now that the software updated and you don't have to "tap" to tell it you are asleep it couldn't be easier to use.

I love the design of the Up2. The mobile app is what really made me decide to go to jawbone. It's more modern and integrated with fitness apps.
The only concern is that i wish that the band would tell you how far you're to your goal like how the fitbit does (4 dots to determine your progress to your goal).

I got this as a gift for my sister. She has a tiny wrist and loves that the size is adjustable and fits her comfortably, which is generally not the case with adjustable items. It keeps her informed of her sleeping and exercise habits with ease.

I own the fitbit and was given this as a free gift for my phone upgrade. I gave it to my daughter who absolutely loves it. Lots of great features, lightweight and easy to use.

I love the way this one charges. I had a previous version and it was plugged into the phone. If my phone was low on charge it took forever to charge. This model has a USB charger and it magnetically attaches. You know it's properly connected when you see the lights consecutively light up. It charges quick too. The battery lasts a long time and I can keep it on when I shower. The downside is the way it can unhook and start to fall off of your wrist. This wasn't a solid design as far as keeping it on. However, that is only a minor irritation, but the sole reason it didn't get 5 stars. I even prefer this app to the old one.

Works better than the older version, the app needs some fine tuning( OS 9 iPhone 6 ) , but overall is a great product and has been redesign to avoid the pitfalls of the previous versions. The only problem I had is the way you have to activate the band to wake up or put to sleep .

I upgraded from first UP band to the UP2 and really like it. Very lightweight, easier to charge than the FitBit (my husband has that.) Would give it a 5 but it lost my data one day due to a glitch. The UP folks said it would come back, but never did. Overall happy with product.

Prior to this purchase I had an UP24 and I have to say that this up band is much better. With my old band it would get caught on the cuff of my sleeve or on little items here and there. With this band and its clasp it fits just like a watch. I've seen other posts where people have said that they have had it fall or fly off while using it. I figured id put that to the test so I took it with me for a weekend trip to Disneyland. While there I made sure to keep my hands in the air during all of the fast rides, and dead drops at the park. My band NEVER CAME OFF during my entire trip and still till this very day unless I have unhooked the clasp to take it off myself. To those who are skeptical I would say try it, if you don't like it then all you do is take it back.

My wife has enjoyed her Jawbone fitness tracker, so I thought I would join in. She has the updated band with 4 strands. I decided on this older style as it seemed more functional. Setup and interaction with it is great and their software is outstanding! The combination of slim size, sleep tracking and buzz alarm are exactly what I wanted.
However, the buckle is really tough to get used to and I have had the band fall off my wrist a number of times. Luckily, it hasn't gone far or gotten damaged. I'm hoping I can get used to the buckle, but in the meantime I'm only giving it 4 stars.

High Expectations

I had high expectations for the Jawbone up2. Jawbone typically makes good products. My dislikes of this product are the clasp and the responsiness of the band itself when you want to change modes. With the clasp, I'm concerned the band will fall off without warning. Also, the button on the band is very hit and miss. If I had to guess it works 40% of the time and you have to use the app to change to the stopwatch mode. I really enjoy the Jawbone app; however, the band itself doesn't meet my expectations for $100.

I had the original UP band that you needed to plug in to the phone to sync which was most annoying. I moved on to the UP Move which I loved, but fell off my clothes and is lost forever. So I decided to purchase the UP2. I decided on this rather than the UP3 because I don't need the heart rate monitor and the UP2 does everything the same for $80 less! It is incredibly comfortable since it is adjustable. The original UP was too small in the small ( my wrist felt strangled) and too big in the medium. I love the app which has kept me with Jawbone. It's accurate and fun!

Was looking for an activity tracker that could track everything so i would know how I did throughout my day. This fit the bill because it's Clean and squared off. The battery lasts a few days so I'm happy it doesn't need to charge every night

I've owned every Jawbone Up made to date and this is the most comfortable. I did have a problem with the clasp slipping in two ways. The first way needed readjustment and the second way it fell off. Since it's so light, I almost lost it.

I like that the band is adjustable. The set up was easy and the battery life is very good. This band is just right for me. Not too complicated, serves as a motivational tool. Great for daily life but perhaps not for serious athletes.

I really enjoyed my Jawbone UP2 until I lost it. It syncs relatively easy with my phone, but does have issues when it has been separated for extended periods (I can't wear my UP2 into work so I leave it at home). The clasp holding it on my wrist is easy to connect, but it does disengage regularly, which is why I have lost it. Don't wear this while doing yard work.

After the update on the firmware, this is very sleep tracker. Holds longer battery life. It takes a bit of time to get it on your hands unlike UP2, but performs fairly better.

Got for my girlfriend's birthday and she loves it. The tracker is very accurate, even tracks when you go to sleep and wake up, the companion app is top notch as well.
