Well directed and acted sequel to the original blockbuster. While it can't equal the original, it is a solid flick for a balmy Summer night. Nice set of extras, too!

If any sequel needed to be printed to Blue Ray disc, it was the sequel to Jaws. Great movie, funny at moments, some violence. But the Holiday Inn never looked better on Amity Island!

well, its not jaws, no duh, right. but there is something fun about this outing. it has a lot of the same troupes as the original but this time Brody is going solo. worth getting just for the Jaws eats a helicopter scene.

"Jaws 2" is an interesting sequel. At least it has Roy Scheider -once again playing the role of Chief Martin Brody -, and it has John Williams' familiar shark theme. The movie has its fine moments, especially the attack on the kids' catamarans and Brody's obssession with the shark. However, I find exaggerating the scene when the shark swims like a torpedo in order to attack a water skier. And what about the shark attacking on a helicopter? Oh, please!!! No way I could buy that. However, the extras on this Blu Ray are quite interesting. The behind-the-scenes featurette is fantastic at explaining what Director Jeannot Szwarc and crew went through while filming. I personally felt happy at watching John Williams as he explained the process of making the music for this film. And let's not forget the deleted scenes, which makes me wonder why they are not included in the final cut. All in all, this Blu Ray is worth buying.

Classic sequel to a classic masterpiece! Although not quite as good as it's predecessor, Jaws 2 is a great sequel - one of the best ever made!

I still remember that during the summer in which the original Jaws was released, people were more much hesitant to swim in the ocean. Speilberg wanted nothing to do with a sequel, but clearly the studio knew it had a gold mine. Jaws 2 was the result. While not as exciting as the original, this was a worthy sequel. After Jaws 2, however, the franchise went downhill.

Having Jaws 2 in the collection and also having it rendered and it's original format, is outstanding. I used to have this on VHS and now I have it on DVD. It is a simple and straightforward survival thriller. A must watch is Jaws 2. if you're into this type of movie. Go out and get it.

Yes, the Spielberg Jaws film is the best, but the 2nd film in the franchise is actually a very satisfying follow up, featuring many of the same cast members and production team members. The thrills are plenty and even though the film is getting there in age it still holds up. The HD picture is very good but not at at level of the fully restored Jaws 1 film. Also the soundtrack is slightly thin sounding. Nevertheless, if you were a fan of the film when it came out, you'll love this release.

I would give it three stars, since it's not nearly as good as the original. It gets one extra star because of its sentimental value: I loved this movie (and all shark movies) when I was a kid.

Unlike the later "Jaws" movies (which seemed to merely try to milk the franchise), Jaws 2 is a worthy companion to the original with good plot, action and acting. The Blu-Ray version adds great sound and more impactful visuals to keep you enthralled.

It's hard to live up to the all time classic that is the first Jaws movie, and even though a lot of the cast and crew returned for this sequel, unfortunately a lot of the magic hasn't. The main problem with this film is that most of the characters are starting to get progressively dumber. I mean Chief Brody spends most of the movie as a lunatic, and ends up crashing his boat is a move that makes him seem like he has a learning disability. However, there is still something here, and as a huge fan of the first film it's sort of nice to have the whole set. Not a great movie, but certainly not a horrible one either.

Not the best way to follow up to one the best movies ever made, but its still enjoyable. The Blu-ray has a pretty good picture and sound quality, but i would still prefer to watch this one on my LaserDisc version

JAWS is as good as it gets but the sequel isn't really that bad at all. With most of the cast returning, the film focuses on the teenage kids and their bout with terror on a sunny day. While there isn't anything new here, the film is done with plenty of gusto and is never dull. Universal's new Blu-ray is a welcome addition to any fans home viewing library.

Although not as good as the original, this is still one that I consider to be the only sequel that this series needed. Good it for a good price too so I couldn't resist.

I will say I enjoyed this film just as much as the original film! It had the great acting, suspenseful plot and again the phenomenal original score.You honestly can't say that about many sequels, but I will say this one doesn't fail at all! If you enjoyed the original Jaws, then you are sure to enjoy this film as well!

while nothing could have lived up to the original Jaws this was a good sequel. Glad to have it on blu ray. It's the best its ever looked or sounded.

The original movie will always be the best, but this is not a bad follow up. Good performances in the next chapter of the Brody family saga.
