I bought one of these for ~$120 for a throw-around guitar. See, I am a Fender Stratocaster lover. I own a USA, two Korean Strats, and an Anniversary. You probably will not believe this, but the Turser guitar sounds as good as the Korean model that has Duncan p'ups, and (gasp) also as good as the 50th Anniversary with 50's custom shop p'ups.
Does it play as well? No way, but it is not bad. For just over $100 bucks, this guitar is an insane value. It really takes a beating and shows no signs of wear. The finishing of the neck is not too great, but I ran a fine file down the sides of the frets and it seems "normal" now. The truss rod is adjustable, and seems to be pretty normal as far as range of adjustment.
Factory setup was not perfect - but - after personally setting this up, I was able to achieve decent string action with no buzzing at any frets. This is a completely playable guitar. I do not like the finish on the maple fingerboard. It is very glossy and seems almost a hindrance when playing. I normally use Duncan string / fingerboard lube, and that helps a lot, bu that is the guitars lone standing weakness for me.
This is a no-brainer - if you want a Strat-style guitar that is cheaply priced, this is the one to buy.
