The best fitting corded wireless ear buds I’ve used. I would’ve gave it 5 stars but it’s not too loud. At the gym I often can hear the neighboring noise over the volume of the music. The battery life is great and the water resistance is very reliable

These have a good Bluetooth range and doesn’t drop connection like their old model and the battery is better. If you’re looking for gray sound and gray base these aren’t for you, maybe try some Bose ($200+) but if you’re like me and just need something loud and sounds decent on a run or in the gym these are great. I hate the fact that hey have proprietary chargers so if you lose it like I did you have to go online and buy a replacement charger or new headphones. It would be best if they used a micro usb burger or similar. But otherwise good headphones and also very comfortable and light weight, the ear tips never fall out during a run. Definite pro for me

This is my first wireless headphone in a long time, I've been avoiding wireless headphones because of my bad experiences in the past. The sound quality, ease of use, comfort, and battery life of Tarah easily exceeded my expectations. The problem i have is when i run with Tarah i can hear my steps, bouncing sound with every step i take. I read it with other reviewers as well. They suggest trying different sizes of earbuds. I did that but unfortunately I can hear bouncing sound with all three sizes. Because of this problem for me this is a two or three star product, but I understand people have different ear channels and the product might work better for others, that's why I am giving it a four star.

I recently lost my trusty old Jaybird X2s (after something like 5 years of consistently good performance) and needed a replacement set ASAP BUT, I wasn't ready to commit to true wireless and I didn't want to spend a lot of money at this point in time. Enter the Jaybird Tarah buds!
Knowing that Jaybird makes a quality product, made it easy to take a chance on these buds (especially because they're selling for $50). The Tarahs came nicely packaged like the the X2s did and they were easy to get set up and running. So far so good! They sound good, they fit well, they charge quick, the charge lasts for a long time, and again, they were only $50 :-)
I haven't spent much time with the Jaybird app - it's really just an equalizer setting and frankly, the buds sound good out of the box, so it generally doesn't occur to me to run the app and tweak the sound though when I have done it, I've gotten decent results.

Everything You Need in a Workout Headphone

I'm not an audiophile; I have a pair or nice noise canceling headphones for travel, and looking for a solid set of wireless earbuds for workouts. I tried the jump to some high end "true wireless" earbuds and while the sound quality is better, I was in a constant state of anxiety while running with them. As sweat built up they always needed adjusting, and it was almost impossible to scroll through music without breaking stride. Low and behold after a year, trying to adjust on a bike ride one fell out and I now have a high end one-ear earbud.
I just got back from my first run with the Tarah's in 80+ degree weather and so glad I made the switch back to earbuds with an external controller. The sound is just fine right out of the box, (I haven't messed with EQ yet), the earbuds are soft and extremely comfortable, and most importantly they stayed completely put in my ear. For 1/4 of the price of my "active" wireless earbuds.
If you're looking for a no frills tool for the job, you absolutely cannot go wrong with these.

Jaybird Tarah - Great Purchase!

Instantly loved these. Comfortable fit, great sound quality and do not fall out when exercising like previous headphones. Was really impressed with these. A cherry on top would have been if it included a case, but for the price you get some great headphones. Jaybird has won a new customer over! Will be my first choice next time I’m looking for a new pair.

I have 3 pairs of wireless headphones, Jaybird, Jabra and Sony. But unquestionably the Jaybird Tarah are the best ones. They are light, stay in place even when I am running or doing HIIT and the price is hard to beat. Sound is good so definitely a great pair to buy.

They are great for running. The fit is very secure. The sound is amazing as with all Jaybird headphones. The price is great for a high quality sport headphone. The only things I do not care for on the headphones is there is not a way to wear them casually. I can't wear the secure fit very long. It would be nice if you could wear them as earbuds without the piece that goes in to the ear canal. I also do not care for the charger plug, especially if they are not going to give a carry case. You have to keep up with this charger and it could have been micro usb or type c. Overall they are are great.

I've been using these headphones for about 1 month. Very comfortable and secure on all runs up to 10 miles so far. I use them 4-5 times per week for about a total of 8 hours and charge them twice per week. When I'm walking near buildings with my hands at my sides the headphones get quite every once in a while. As soon as I start to run I never have any problem with consistent connection. Taking phone calls are fine unless you are outdoors in the wind, then the other person has a hard time hearing you.

I got these on a daily deal on BestBuy.com. They are replacing/augmenting a pair of Plantronics 3100 ear buds. Everything about these is so much better. The sound is crisp and clear. While bass is overpowering, it is still enough for me to get pumped. The gels hold them in place well, without pain even if it leash them on for hours. No feeling of pulling on the side with the controls. Controls are easy to use and intuitive, even at the end of a 2+ hour run. They have as of yet to drop out on me, even with forgetting my phone in the car and closing the door. Mine didn’t have the shirt clip, but I just let them hang and it is fine.
The only caveat, that could be a deal breaker for some, is that with the volume up, you can block out background noises. If that doesn’t bother you, then I would whole heartily recommend these to anyone. Especially runners.

Sound is nice. Fairly comfortable. App ok. Really no bragging rights here. I got it on sale. Was thinking of AirPods, but the thought of loosing them from falling off my ear drew me more toward these. One thing I don’t like, but not a deal breaker with these is that the volume max sometimes gets a little frustrating. You get that nice music you want to listen to a little louder, but can’t. Max volume is not really that loud, but you can still enjoy the music because the sound is not crackling etc.

Second pair. Nothing wrong with the first pair which I’ve had for a couple of years. Easy to setup, sound good, have different sized ear pieces, comfortable, last on a charge and affordable. What else can one ask for.

So far really impressed with the quality of headphone. Bought these as a backup pair. Been grabbing them more consistently during these hot summer days. Decent balanced sound. Not a ton of bass but lots of choices to fine tune listening experience with Jaybird app. Very comfortable in ear with lots of fittings for your ear to choose from. Battery life is pretty good. It has a unique charging system so don't lose the dongle. Keep it safe.

I was able to pick these up for a solid price and I don’t think I could expected anything better from headphones at a sub $50 price.
Looking at Jbird’s Tarah lineup the two upgraded versions of this model have some features I would certainly appreciate, like a magnet clip that can hold them around your neck instead of the ‘manual’ one these came with, but to me what mattes the most in a pair of headphones is sound quality.
If a pair sound like tin cans rattling in my ear or completely obfuscate an entire range sound range with excessive low frequencies than I won’t ever use them. These fall into pretty easily into the the usable range for me.
Sound quality-wise I’d put them above standard Apple ear pods (as far as a pure listening to music comparisons goes) but since these do actually make noises well for their cost they obviously don’t include a lot of the other features more expensive headphones posses like great call quality. In fact, their build quality more than anything is what gives away their budget-ness. If they’re still usable within a year I’ll be surprised. That said because these were only $40 I’m going to be a lot quicker to put them through riskier endeavors like a weekend snowboarding trip or few days at the beach than I would my other set.
Just based on this (ie their ability to save/prolong the lifespan of my better buds) I’d say they’re worth it.

The Jaybird Tarah wireless in ear headphones are exactly as they say. They came with different sized ear pieces which I changed to fit my ear better. It connects instantly to my phone, iPad, or lap top, battery life is as advertised. I use it for my workouts with a lot of movement and they have always stayed in my ears. Only minor issue is they tug a little when you turn your head because one side does have the control which makes it a little heavier. Other than that minor issue, I would definitely purchase these again from Best Buy because of the price and the convenience of the store if I have to return it.

Bought these for running. They’re comfortable and music quality in my opinion is definitely a good value for the price point. They don’t fall out of my ear and are water proof. Even comes with a cool app where you can customize the EQs. I’ll definitely buy another pair of headphones by the company again.

Pretty solid fit, although it does bounce around a bit while running on the treadmill it never falls out.
So far for me, battery seems to get 5+ hours but not 6 hours completely.
The sound quality is good, but not amazing. The JayBird app is really cool though to suit your tastes.
