I have heard/read many great reviews regarding to the JayBird X2 and decided to finally make the jump even with the steep price point...
I consider myself a cautious buyer when it comes to spending a good amount of change and look at every in-ear bluetooth headphones that are...
1. Simple and minimalist in design
2. Great battery life
3. Features like "anything" proof (i.e. sweat/water resistant and what not)
4. Brand recognition and overall value
After using it in a 48 hours period, I found that with a little playing around in the setting up with gels and wings, I managed to find out my ears aren't the same in size... go figure. :D
Overall, after finding the right setup, I found the above the ear style was a better choice for me since I utilized the cable management adapters (included) to be able to wear this without too much exposure. I was able to squeeze a good 11 hours of play time at about 40% sound level before having to recharge. My ears weren't fatigue from wear and it's light enough to where I didn't even feel them anymore. I found that the music quality is to my liking and wasn't too bass heavy. Clear sound, good battery, cable management and a combination of choices when it comes to comfort and fit. I would highly recommend the X2... 5 stars.

I got one for my brother, and myself. I am totally into the JayBird X2. They don't fall out of my ears and don't lose connection with my cell phone, even when I'm pounding a run on the treadmill. The sound quality is amazing. Easy to use, with only three buttons to operate the headphones. Answering incoming calls is a breeze. People I talk to have no clue I'm on a Bluetooth device, I can whisper and they can still hear me clearly. PLUS, one full charge lasts days, with me.
Some downfalls are; can be difficult to clean the ear inserts, initial set up is time consuming because you have to watch instructional videos on JayBird's website. They come with tiny plastic loop clips to shorten the wire for a custom fit, but they have hard rough edges that irritate the skin. So, I tie a small knot. Lastly, the wire is not glossy smooth so it sticks to the skin on the neck, especially when sweaty, and can tug the earphones causing ear soreness.

I owned the Jabra Sport wireless, then purchased a set of Powerbeats Wireless headphones. The sound was good not awesome quality but good. My friends and family would tell me that they heard me far away and on ocassions, with an echo. However, Jaybird - X2 Wireless Earbud Headphones are by far superior. The sound is crisp and clear. The fit is more comfortable. Battery lasts MUCH longer; over 10 hrs. I charge them every night, then use them all day at work 0330 until 1200 and afterward. Dont need to recharge until approx 6 to 7 p.m.

I am a power-lifter and had trouble with many ear buds breaking while performing lifts and these earbuds came to my rescue. I highly recommend them for the range and the foam ear buds buds. The quality is really good for wireless earbuds of this size.

The design of these headphones are the best. They stay sung in your ear for casual wear and even better when you wear them in sport fashion. The sound quality is top notch. Also add that they are sweat proof means they will last a long time.

I wanted Bluetooth headphones that would allow me to walk around my apartment without having my phone tethered to my side. These headphones seem to work as intended. The headphones work without clipping sound in my over 1000 square-foot single-story apartment. However, the clipping of audio can occur if I stand too close to the microwave while it is running. The only complaint I have with the headphones is from the use of the earwing adapters as they make my ears sore after about 30 minutes. My ears seem to hurt less if I run the headphone cable over my ear. I believe with the right ear shape these headphones will work very well. The sound is good for Bluetooth and for better bass response I recommend using the silicone ear pads.

The jaybird x2's are a great headphone! They are easy to use and have a handful of different setups to make them are configurable as possible to make wear comfortable.
However, the sound is tinny. The lows are limited at best and the mids are lacking as well.

I've been using JayBird products for quite sometime now. These are by far the best sport headphones I've ever used. The micro sized buds make them virtually non existent while I'm wearing them. I can't tell you enough how much I hate wires while I'm running. The weight of wires always pull earbuds out my ears. I've never once had this issue since you tighten the wires up with the clips that's included. I push my workouts to the limit and these hold up very well. Thanks to BestBuy as well with making my geek squad accident protection exchange easy. My X2 went for a swim in my washer machine during laundry day. I was heated >:( but the folks at BestBuy made it easy for me to get a new replacement pair. Definitely worth getting the protection plan for unfortunate accidents like that. I had to go for the Alpha because the black was out of stock but I kind of like a little color since I've been doing the all black since the JayBird blue buds. I just hold the color holds up against dirt and fading.

It was a toss up between these jay birds and the beats. Saw all the bad reviews for the beats (and I don't like the over the ear buds) am satisfied with the product, however, I got white and the heat from charging the buds has burnt the plastic leaving a dull grey color that cannot be removed. Go for black

I was shopping around for a new pair of wireless earbuds so I can listen to music while working out. After reading wonderful reviews about these earbuds, I thought they were the best earbuds on the market today. They work as attended but the fit is really poor. Even with the x fit tips, they earbuds would not stay in my ear while I was exercising. I tried changing the sizes of the earbud covers and x fit tips and also tried wearing a headband over my ears. That was very painful for my earlobes. I couldn't get the buds to stay in my ears. I decided to contact Jaybird customer service and their response was that if I'm not happy with the fit that I should try to return the earbuds. However, Best Buy only has a 15 day return policy and I have owned these earbuds for approximately 30 days. I decided ok, I'm stuck with them so I will try to make the best of them. However this evening while I was jumping rope, the right ear bud kept falling out. I would have to adjust the earbud and put it back in. After the 4th or 5th time falling out, I just left it there to hang and then my jump rope made contact with the earbuds causing my other earbud to get ripped out from my left ear and smashing against the ground. After inspecting the damage, I saw that the earbud cover on one side was missing and it couldn't be located due to the earbuds landing in the grass nearby. I'm honestly really tired of these earbuds and I just want to return them or sell them on ebay for half the price to get them out of my life. I feel like I just wasted $100 for a pair of earbuds that won't stay in my ears. So if you like a pair of wireless earbuds for doing light activities such as sitting on a bus or going for a walk, then I would recommend these earbuds. If you want them for the gym, unless you doing something that doesn't require a lot of movement, these are the worst earbuds out there.

These wireless in ear headphones are great. The sound is excellent and they stay in your ear. You can actually go pretty far away from the device. I workout in a gym and they do a good job of masking gym noises. I wouldn't wear them outside. The website says they can remember 8 devices and I have 2. The website doesn't say how to get them to to switch from one to another. I do it by turning off the one device, then going to settings on my second device, (my devices are an iPad and an iPod touch), Bluetooth, then tapping where it says Jaybird X2 and then it switches. The only problem I have is that I have problems with the fit of the ear fins. I have to wear them tilted so the fin is facing up with the end that the cord comes out facing forward instead of down. I got the idea of wearing them like this from Jaybirds website. On Jaybirds website one of the video advertisement things show a man wearing them like this, with the end of the headphone where the cord comes out of the part that goes in your ear facing forward instead of down and that is the only way I can fit them in my ear at all. https://player.vimeo.com/video/135973371. The headphones come with 3 sizes, I have the small on of course, but I wish they came in extra small too. The headphones comes with S M and L tips-comply and silicone. I love the comply ones. Funny thing is I have always worn size large tips but with these I wear small. The comply ones are also the best tips I have used. You roll them between your fingers to compress them a little, put them in your ear and hold it there with you finger for 15-30 seconds. They then expand to their original size. So they are a passive noise block even without music. I found these headphones pretty comfortable and they did not come out. The sound was just as good or better then my wired headphones, which are Sony's and were $150.00 to give you an idea of quality of my wired headphones.

The Jaybird X2 are good headphones. The sound is great. Good highs and good bass.
The battery life I get is 6-1/2 to 7 hours. The stated battery life is 8 hours.
I like the different selections of ear tips and ear fins that come with the headphones. You can mix and match them to get the best fit. I particularly like the Comply Premium Sport Foam Ear Tips. They hold well in my ears (with the ear fins). I run with them and they don't fall out of my ears.
I like the cord management clips which holds the cord securely close to my head. I don't feel the cord flopping around when I run.
What keeps these headphones from being great is that it sometimes loses connection with my phone. I don't know if it is the fault of the headphones or my phone. I am leaning towards the fault of the headphones. I have bluetooth speakers (Mini Jambox) that I use with the phone and it hasn't lost connection with the phone.
I still would recommend these headphones.

The jaybird X2 headphones are some of the greatest wireless headphones you can buy. I am a sound engineer/audiophile, and I love these headphones for their versatility, comfort, and sound quality. First off, they are customizable with a variation of wings, (the part that makes them stay in your ear, looks like a grid), silicon earbuds, and comply foam earbuds. No matter how big or small your ear, these will fit. They are very comfortable in your ear, water resistant (rain/sweat, not submersible), and do not fall out while running. The sound quality is very good, highs, mids, and lows all balance pretty equally. However, if you are wanting extreme bass, maybe don't care too much about sound quality, then these are not the headphones for you. Bass is good enough for me as I like a detailed and balanced sound. If you want a bit of a bass boost, regardless of overall sound quality, beats are a good option for you. (
keep in mind beats earphones wired/wireless are not fully sweat proof and water resistant like these are). If you want sound quality unmatched by sport headphones for the gym, running, working out etc., go with the jaybird x2's. Now for someone who doesn't use these for workout/gym headphones, not going to get wet, not going to be rained on, etc, go with the Jaybird Freedom. It has customizable equalizers on the application for IOS/Android. Better control, better sound quality. Also has options to where you can listen to music with the exact presets of the music when it was recorded. You can listen to music how other people have their settings adjusted to you options to where you can listen to music with the exact presets of the music when it was recorded. You can listen to music how other people have their settings adjusted to, by sharing the settings you have on the app. This way you can listen exactly how the music was meant to be created. I just bought the X twos and love them but I'm going to get the X3's when they come out. X3's will have The customizable equalizer in them. Would give the x2's 5 stars if they had that feature, but I'll just have to wait. (Release date rumored August/September 2016. I like the X2's better than the Freedom series, because they are better for the gym. I have the x2's and will be upgrading to the 3's when they come out, but I also need some for the time being.
EXTRA:(For you audio heads.) I am a drummer and when I play I use 1964 ears. If you are a musician, sound engineer, or audiophile (like me), check them out. They are top of the line custom in ear molds for the absolute best phenomenal sound quality. Price can get up there though. Another, cheaper option are the Shure se215's, $99 bucks. I had these before 1964's for a while but I used them at the gym and tore them up, well worth it all the while. Finally, you are welcome to give me feedback on my review, all of it is much appreciated, and I hope I have influenced your decision positively!

Was very happy with the first version of LG wireless bluetooth headset which was great until the cord of the R earbud eventually broke. Was going to replace them and started researching about the newer LG headsets and noticed somewhat mixed reviews so I opened up the field to other brands and options. Came across fairly universally positive reviews on these new JayBirds which do in fact seem like a worthwhile trade up from the earlier LG buds. Knowing that I could return them if not satisfied, and finding the JayBirds on sale I gave them a try and am loving the upgrade in sound quality as well as the improved earbud fit and lighter weight (not that the LGs were heavy weights by any means). 3 months into using these JayBirds pretty much every day, for casual to more serious music listening on the go, as well as regular use on the phone with them. They pair up quickly and stay connected, range is at least comparable to the LGs and they DO sound better. I'm a happy customer so far...

First off i owned for a bout a year or so the old version(Jaybird BlueBudXs) they are great also, the new version seems to be slightly better but its barely noticeable over the Blue Bud X's honestly. I do like the fact that the company gives you a lifetime sweat proof guarantee. Also like the fact that their customer service is great, i asked them about a trade in program to upgrade to the new version X2s and they would only take 70$ credit on my Blue Bud Xs which i had EVERY piece, receipt, box, everything was in great condition. Welp i sold them for 90$ and got the X2s and glad i did, seems like they have a little bit better battery life than the Blue Bud Xs, could be bcause of age though, and i do use them at least 5-7 times a week since i bought them. Example i bought these X2s on 18 August and ive used them everyday but 3 days so far, workouts, runs, mowing the yard, pretty much anything you move and dont want them to come out. I have noticed the Comply tips that come with the earbuds do NOT have a little white screen that helps protect the driver(Not that its needed honestly) I use those tips all the way till Monday 14 September so almost 30 times, and i reverted back to my Comply SX500 tips i bought from Amazon, these have a white screen but the reason i switched is not because they ripped or anything but i feel like the SX500s are a little more comfortable and i did notice the Comply tips they give you look like the same material as the SX500 sweat tips, BUT they are a little longer and do NOT have that white screen in the center. My ear canals are not that big so the SX500s seem to get seated closer into my ear when the foam expands and that to me is more comfortable when your sweating alot and moving alot. Anyways, if you have the Blue Bud Xs the old versions, these arent really that different but the ear fins are not a compelte squared shape, they are rounded with a nicer edge to fit into your ears, and the control box was supposed to be revamped to avoid failures when it gets really sweat soaked. I never had an issue with my Blue Bud Xs the full year i had them and so far no issues with the X2s, i cannot comment on distance of bluetooth for each model as i have my phone strapped to my bicep so i never stretched the limits of bluetooth on either model. But all in all im VERY happy with them and very happy with the sound quality, i listent o everything and ive had other model headphones as well, these are leaps and bounds better sounding than Beats and definately better sounding than Blows(Bose). Ive had skeptical people listen to my X2s beside my buddies Beats and they all ask where they can get the X2s at after they hear them both. Leaps and bounds better in sound quality and bass reproduction, ive even been listening to bass altered music which goes down to 15hz in certain songs and it picks up the sound and still plays the mid and high frequencies accurately, not sloppy and losing your high freqs like Beats, and Bose wont pickup anything under 35hz for some reason, unless i use an EQ on my phone or computer. If you want headphones for studio or home use, these are not it, id recommend Jabra Revos(Bigger driver than most headphones) or Senheisers. But if you want IN EAR wont fall out and will sound phenomenal while being active THIS IS the set to get you wont be disappointed, its all about getting the right sized ear tips and setting up the ear fins for you to enjoy them after you have that done you will be happy.

I want to start this review with the fact that I have purchased every set of Jaybird wireless headphones since the Freedom Sprints. The Jaybird technology has come a long way since then, i.e. I don't have to keep my phone in my right pocket to ensure a smooth connection like the Sprints. I loved the Freedom Sprint headphones because of the fit and sound but it lacked a long battery life, two workout sessions and it was beeping in my ear reminding me to charge them. Those lasted me about two years before they stopped charging/working and I consider that a win in headphone longevity. Then I purchased the Bluebud X's and was slightly unimpressed with the fit of the buds and the ear hooks, they kept falling out of my ears no matter what combination I used. I eventually used the larger hooks and smaller buds to get them to stay in my ears better but it was uncomfortable and my ears would be sore after an hour or two of working out. I was also a little bummed with the amount of bass the Bludbuds produced, I thought the Freedom's had much deeper sounding bass. So I returned the Bluebuds and ventured into other bluetooth headphone manufacturers. I tried the Jabra Sport, which didn't suction to my ears so I was able to hear everything and everyone around me and overall didn't sound very good. I tried the uber popular Beats Wireless 2 and returned them after a week because of the same issue. I was ready to go back to the Freedom Sprint's but couldn't find them so I found myself back with the uncomfortable Bluebuds. After a second stint with the Bluebuds I couldn't take it anymore and decided to give the X2's a try and I am glad I did. Upon opening the box I noticed there was a bigger selection of earbuds, and a slightly new rounded edge to the ear hooks. I first tried the regular earbuds and medium sized hooks and they fit pretty well. Then I tried the special sport earbuds and was blown away with the fit and comfort I received while I was working out/running basically doing anything physical. I have to say these don't sound 100% as good as the Freedom Sprint's but the 8 hour battery life more than makes up for it. It's a legit 7-8 hour battery life too (at a decent volume level), I know many products promise "up to" battery hours but these are pretty good. I've only had these for about a month but on average I charge them once a week and I workout 3-5 times per week for about an hour each session. The connectivity of these are awesome too, I have an iPhone 6 and it stays connected over 30-40 feet as long as you're not behind too many walls. That's really what makes these headphones really special; the fit, battery life and connectivity. Not having to charge them after every couple workouts is great and not having to worry about where your phone is in conjunction to the headphones is nice as well. Not hearing everybody's conversation around you while you're working out is also a perk. So, overall I think this is a great product for anybody looking to cut the cord on regular headphones and enjoy their music without wires!
