Let me start out by saying wow, I have a few jbl speakers and they sound excellent, was very impressed with this speaker bar. The highs and mids on the bar itself sound great and the sub hits super hard for a 10". When i first heard it i was astonished. Everything about it is great. The only serious thing that really upset me was how it was shipped I got home and it was literally sitting outside in it's own package as if it was in the store so the whole neighborhood could see what i bought. But other than that good job jbl keep it up.

Awesome sound system!! I recently bought this set on a whim. I compared to the 2.1 channel version in the store (about $200 cheaper) When I got it unpacked and set up, there was no doubt it was worth the extra money. quick and easy set-up. So many input options including bluetooth, usb, and 4 HDMI ports. The HDMI 4 is for communication with the TV. Works great. Sound bar syncs with my TV Remote automatically. BASS IS AWESOME. Awesome sound for such little equipment!!! 5/5

Great sound quality. Not too difficult to set up. Only issue is every couple days when turning the TV it is connected to on it does not "wake up" and sometimes the audio will cut out for no apparent reason.

I choose this bar over the new Polk 3.1 because I think for 3.1 soundbar systems in this price range with ARC capabilities, I'm not sure the sound gets any better. Listened to a variety of music and it performed well top to bottom. Watched the lightsaber battle towards the end of the Force Awakens, and I was blow away by the sound. It lead that scene more than the visuals did for me. Now, considering I decided on this one and like it, the reason why I didn't give it 5 Stars is for few minor reasons. The sound will more or less 'turn off' if no signal is coming through. For example, scrolling through my Xbox home scene slowly doesn't admit any sound because it's random spaced sound signals instead of a blank signal with bleeps of noise. Doesn't really bother me, but it does some off without it. With my TV remote, the sound will not increase by more than 10 if I hold down the volume up. I think it is to prevent the system from accidentally overload, but again odd. My google home can't set the volume on it. It can only go up/down one sound point instead of setting a number which is quite annoying since I can change my TV to any number I want. I think this is because the volume is 0-50 scale on the soundbar and not 0-100, but I can't verify that. I found the packaging to be lacking in ease and I didn't see any guide on the system itself that explains in detail what it was or how to use it. It's mostly common sense with soundbars, but I always like to read the guide because sometimes you learn something neat that you can use. I do feel like the looks are a little lacking compared to a lot of the other soundbar companies, but it is a soundbar not a lookbar. So for sound at a 3.1 level, I'm not sure it can be beat. If I had some advice for JBL, I would say to make the packaging experience better so it is a pleasant experience from purchase to install to use and not just use.

I think this soundbar is a very good choice for a small room. I found the sound to be rich overall. My former sound system did not handle voices/dialogue very well and the JBL is great with this. Lows sound great! Before buying, I read several reviews with many pointing out the lack of midrange. I this that's a fair criticism. It does feel at times that a middle range of sound is missing or very subtle if that. I am no audiophile, so I can't be too hard on that point because I like this soundbar so much more than my old 2.1 system. Set-up was easy and it sits right in front of my 50" LG on a TV stand. I have a cable box, blu-ray, and Apple TV hooked up to it. The subwoofer is huge! It does looks like it can serve as a small table for a plant. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

I recently remodel my family room and wanted to simplify my sound system. I had a Polk surround sound system which did the job before, but the rears really were not putting out anymore, and I was tired of all the wires running around the room. My wife tells me I don't hear very well anymore, so I may not be a sound expert by any means. I knew I wanted a 3.1 system, so I compared the Samsung and Polk systems with the JBL. Like everything in life, it is a matter of taste and I just felt the JBL was the better overall sound to me. The setup was pretty easy, I have my Roku, DVD, and Xbox all hooked in. The subwoofer automatically synced up as soon as I turned it on. My Roku remote paired up, and works well with turning everything on. Only glitch is the sound bar appears to turn off when I turn off the TV, but then the sound bar comes back on. I then have to use the remote that came with the unit to turn it off. The subwoofer can be adjusted to give you that subtle rumble or you can rattle the walls. I am extremely pleased with the quality of this product.

Wow - this absolutely beats the pants off of the similarly-priced units from Sony, Samsung, Polk, Klipsch and everything else I saw on the floor. It has 450w of total power and the 10” woofer really hits hard. Seriously it’s huge and heavy, make sure you have room for it. The bar part itself has 6 speakers in it but is light and manageable. The LED readout is bright enough to be visible from the couch but automatically turns off after a few seconds so it’s not annoying during shows. Great sound bar.

I had the Geek Squad set this up, but after watching the setup process, I felt dumb for wasting their time as set up was so easy, not even 5 minutes from taking out of the box to listening to it. Sound is very good. I had an older Yamaha sound bar but bought this so I could hear voices better. This has various sound settings, one of which emphasizes the voice output. The sound is great, I have no problem understanding what is being said. The bass speaker can really blow out the deep sound. Bought Black Friday and for $299.99, these were a steal.

Love it, both the style and sound quality. If you're looking for a soundbar under $400, that comes with a full sub, it could be your choice. High bass, clear voice. the only weakness I found is somewhat the lack of mid-range sound.

Waited awhile and read a lot of reviews before purchasing this soundbar. Even went to the store to compare. At the store, the bass was unmatched with this model. It'll rattle your windows! Excellent sound quality, styling is good, functionality is good. We have had a few instances where the subwoofer was picking up outside Interference and had a very low rumble to it. I just unplugged the unit and plugged it back in, seemed to fix the problem. We've plugged it into the tv using ARC, this allows the tv remote to control volume and power. The unit goes into standby when the tv powers off. Very nice system, would definitely purchase again.

I purchased this for my wife so when she takes online Zumba classes. I know my wife too well and I knew that the Bass is very important for her. Well, this blew her away! She took the first class and she was beyond impressed with the system. The set up is very simple and the remote is the right size. The bass impressed me too and the price was right! I highly recommend this product and there's no need to get an expensive system as this will suffice video and music lovers.

Our Samsung sound bar bass speaker died and we were looking to replace it. Have a wireless JBL speaker that is fantastic so checked out the reviews. They were good but we were hesitant to spend more than planning, but man was it worth it! The sound out of this thing is fantastic! I love bass and this provides. Set-up was simple and quick and switching back and forth from tv to Bluetooth music is fantastic! More than happy with our purchase and would highly recommend!

This is a fantastic sound bar. Though far more simplistic than say a sony sound bar. I believe this one sounds better. I run sound for a profession and I liked this bar because it sounded full. It wasn't too high pitch or too flat. But if I wanted to have more highs, the built in presets give me more options. The sub is powerful and balanced well. However, if I did need to buy this sound bar over again, I would of purchased the 5.1 version. Having the 2 side speakers add a lot. Other than that, it is a fantastic unit.

I bought the JBL 3.1 soundbar with the wireless 10 inch subwoofer and it was very nice. The highs, mids & especially the subwoofer, were very clean sounding. When you watch a movie with lots of action, the system really immerses you right into the movie.

I bought this for a replacement of my old Bose 3-2-1 setup and it is sooo much better sounding. Really great highs and unbelievable lows for such a compact 10" sub. Only 2 things that would of made me give a 5 star rating..Auto turn of when not in use and better mids but i am used to full size speakers so most people will never tell the difference. The wireless sub is easy to setup and i love that i have been able to sync it up through Bluetooth to my Echo Plus and voice control it!!! GREAT BUY !!!! Movies really shake the house during action scenes too!!!!

I did a lot of research and listened to way too many soundbars in various stores. I found this one to be the most flexible, in my price range. You can change presets for voice, music, sports and movies with the push of a button, which makes it easy to move from the news to Pandora and back. The bass is good but not overpowering. If you're listening to a good bass beat tune, you can feel it but it doesn't drown out the lyrics. It was easy to set up and came with its own hangers for mounting to the wall. For the price, it is pretty good.

I never bought without testing but, since the covid-19 we were kept out of the stores, I decided to read about sound bars, luckily I bump up across this system. For the money, it's impossible to even get close to the sound quality this JBL provides. Sounds all around is excellent and the system it's just plug and play, the subwoofer paired in less than a second. What it does surprise me is the size of this system. I have a 43 inch Insignia and the sound bar is about 3 inches longer and it's heavy compared to the Yamaha 1050 that this unit replaced. Comparing the Yamaha and the Polk PSW 10 subs is not fair but it's the only system that I have. The sounds quality is unbeatable, you can clearly hear every bit of rumble, shots, wind or whatever you're watching. The subwoofer is a behemoth in size and quality, it's heavier than my Polk and packs a punch. Be careful when moving the subwoofer because it's a downfiring sub, try to grabbed on the size or by the stands. If you have a rubber pad (yoga mats are great), try to use that as a base because the subwoofer may rattle when pushed beyond level 23. My experience with this system improved when I move away the subwoofer from the soundbar for about 9 feet, the sound was more crisp because the subwoofer bass will over power the soundbar sounds, by moving away the sub and setting up bass level at 19 and the soundbar setting on movies or sport, you will hear a nice level between hi/mid and bass. The surround sound is horrible for my taste but, give it a try. Good luck getting this system because at the clearance price of $230 it's a steal and with the saved money get the extended warranty because if everything happens with the subwoofer Bluetooth connect, its covered! I'm more than happy with this system, regular price was almost $500 and even at that price it was a deal.

Really nice sound. Coming from an older tv that I had to struggle to hear the dialogue the difference could not be greater. Such a nice change to be hearing the difference yet also enjoy the total sound. Plus the bass really kicks in and you feel it reverberate across the room. I have the settings even lower because we have a dog and can still feel the substance of it from time to time. It’s not a surround sound which should be obvious but for what you are getting really does the trick nicely.
