The Good: The battery powered rear speakers are perfect for our use case. We have an open floor plan, which makes permanent rear speakers a challenge, but we have a kitchen island right behind our couch we can set these on. We leave them attached to the bar most of the time (bonus: they work as front speakers when attached, widening the sound stage) and pop them off when we want to watch a movie or whatever. That flexibility is exactly why we bought this bar. The 10" sub is an absolute BEAST. Between Dolby Atmos and the subwoofer, movies with thunderstorm scenes have quickly become my favorite thing to listen to on this bar. True to form for JBL, this bar does amazingly well for music. The Bad: No voice enhancement for TV, no app, and limited EQ presets and adjustments. Hopefully the next version addresses these complaints (bonus if JBL finds a way to bring them to this soundbar via an update.)

I’ve had this item for a couple of days and I can say this unit bumps.. The sub really does a mighty job with listening to music and watching a movie. The bar also does a great job but you definitely need to detach the end speakers to fully get the best quality. When first installed the center speakers on bar weren’t working so I had to move some cables around and change some settings on my TV. So if it doesn’t sound like the display you were shown then some speakers might not be functioning. Overall its very powerful and we’re enjoying it. Some Cons are that with todays technology I wish it had the ability to equalize the sound you wanted. It has 3 different Atmos settings, Low, Mid, High but that’s it.. Also the specifications say that this unit comes with the side covers when side speakers are detached but they don’t. I had to contact LG and they are sending them for free. Just an FYI.

Have had well over a year now and still works as if i just purchased it. Theatre or Imax vibes surround sound is what to expect from JBL #FAVORITEBUY

If your looking good for something that won’t break the bank but still holds its quality I completely recommend this soundbar. Now everything I watch and play is epic. It completely changed my experience watching at home.

The amount of sound and bass this puts out is unreal. The atmos feature add a beautiful touch to watching movies at home. This wireless soundbar is the best that i have had in many many years.

This is a great soundbar! You get what you pay for and after owning and having it for 3 years I don't regret paying the price. The extendable speakers just make it unique!

I would have given this a 5 star review if i didn't have so much problem with charging. My first order the detachable speaker wasn't charging. So i returned it and was given a brand new system. The new one is working properly but the detachable speaker is only good for 8 hrs if using continously in 1 day. Then you have to put it back to be charged again unless you have a charger that will plug to the individual speakers. Other than the charging issues the sound quality is great.

Fantastic soundbar! Got it on sale even, setup was a piece of cake. Only "issue" i had was setting up the wifi connection as the instructions weren't very clear. Just have to install Google home app, then you can add the soundbar and connect it to your wifi. Comes with hardware to mount the soundbar, as well as the satellite speakers if you want. Sub is pretty massive and puts out incredible bass. I've barely turned up the volume to 15 and its pretty loud/good quality. I have it set up with a 4k TV (using eARC) and Fios TV one. Had an issue with the Fios remote not turning up the sound, but pairing the remote with the box fixed that. Looking forward to connecting my PS5 to it next! Definitely recommend this soundbar if its in your budget. :)

This soundbar will rock your living room… work perfectly easy setup highly recommended especially watching movies on Netflix..price is ok i prefer this jbl then bose 900 series bose price is high with jbl 9.1 you get same performance for lower price. I am happy with my purchase

Speaker meets specification expectations, but unfortunately it keeps turning off unintentionally which is a big disappointment when you are really deep into a movie or listening to music.

When I went to the store to look for a surroundsound I was very seriously thinking about buying a Bose system and then the salesman showed me the JBL 9.1 so I bought it and I absolutely love it so far it’s still not a Bose system but for the money it’s a great system The system comes with everything that you need it has wall mounts for the sound bar and wireless satellite speakers

Phenomenal sound quality coming from a person who has never experienced true Atmos sound. Pairs perfectly with my 86” LG TV. Bass is clean, crisp, and powerful. Will shake the whole house!

Works amazingly. Sound is very impressive & extremely clear! Sub is powerful and shakes the house if wanted! Wireless speakers work perfectly and are more impressive than I imagined

Exceeded my expectations! I had my old surround system for over 10 years and never upgraded because it was still working but I felt like it was time to get rid of the big bulky speakers and receiver to a more minimalistic set up. This is without a doubt one of the best quality speakers I’ve ever heard. The fact that I just have one bar and a subwoofer, it seriously feels like there are multiple speakers around me but it’s just that and honestly, it is worth the money.

One of the Best sounds ever. This sound bar really makes anything on TV sound better. The quality is incredible. The detachable speakers make everything come full circle when placed in the right position. I hate that it went up in price in the last month, but they are in such demand as soon as one come up at my local Best Buy I purchased it as we don't have that many other options in this small town. All in all it is a super great system. Highly recommend!

I've had the speaker for a few months now and I love the look and feel; minimalist design. The sound is very nice and balanced, however, I would like the option to further increase the bass output. The bass output is very low at low volumes to me. In order to really get that theater experience you have to increase the volume too much. Also...one other reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is because the unit randomly won't turn on; it's literally nonresponsive. Soundbar won't turn on with the tv...won't respond when pressing the power button on the remote...nor when I press the power button on the sound bar itself. It's a pain to have to unplug it, then plug it back in to reset it. I have to unplug it and plug it back in.
