Ok, I have 2 different JBL soundbar & subwoofers. The first JBL SB400 10 years old at lease. And now a JBL BAR 500. Love the older one, you can adjust a powerful bass woofer The Bar 500… bass is def lacking watching movies and I’m dissapointed…but!! It was only 400 bucks

I just wanted to know if we can hook up other JBL subwoofer

Speaker sounds good however it does not turn on automatically when I turn on my TV. I have to continuously unplugged the entire speakers system and plug it back in every time I want to use it. This is very frustrating. I have tried multiple connections, such as an HDMI. And Bluetooth to try to fix the issue along with many others and nothing seems to work.

I recommend this system! Definitely exceeded my expectations!

Its a very good investent But i would like a little high sound

Hate to give it a poor review after it worked great for the first couple days but now I’m having issues with it. It mutes itself. Gets stuck on loading mssg when I reset it. Have to unplug and plug back in order to get sound back. About to bring it back

The soundbar itself had a coil whine like noises coming from it. I thought to myself, “Fine, it’s not a big deal.” Then, after about two weeks there sub woofer started to make crackling a popping noises that became unbearable. My cheaper 200 dollar Samsung soundbar never had any issues compared to the JBL bar 500 at its $400+ price tag.

I recently upgraded my home audio setup with the JBL - BAR 500, and I must say, this soundbar has exceeded my expectations. This is a great soundbar for the price, I've had a 100$ one from 2017 that was complete garbage, and a 150$ one that is very recent. this has roughly the same volume potential as the 150$ one but the sound is much more clear, it gives the impression of surround sound in certain movie scenes and games and the bass is good to great, but without diving into the app It can be adjusted from 1-5. It suffers from sometimes being too intense at low numbers in video games, but 5 being just fine for movies. This is a great buy for around 400$. I've owned it for about 2 months now, so no idea how well it will hold up. There are better options and more true surround sound out there, but you'd need to spend 1,000$+ to get much better than this.

Now a days finding a high quality soundbar on budget is a bit challenging mainly a soundbar with 5.1 channels. This soundbar delivers high quality cinematic sound with earth shattering bass. It's very powerful and I was able to get all that cinematic surround sound shattered my room just on volume levels 22-23. I only know Vizio has a soundbar with 5.1 channel on budget priced around $500 tried that but was not completely satisfied. Then I got to know this soundbar in my research which launched recently and the price as well on budget so just thought to give a try and we were blown away with the sound quality. Every movie we watch feels like we are in a high-quality IMAX theater. Another thing to note and may help whoever falls under my category, there is no video audio latency issues if connected via Bluetooth which many soundbars has this issue. I would just say its no brainer considering the price point and performance if you are looking for powerful high quality 5.1 channel soundbar. Its a simple setup plug and play. JBL ONE app helps to tune the equalizer and update software etc.,

Prior to purchasing this soundbar, I purchased a Samsung Q60CC after exhausting research of different sound bar models under $600. The Samsung sound bar itself was nice and clear, but had near zero bass, low and mid coverage severely lacking. It essentially sounded like a several tweeters that could get really loud. I returned the Samsung and bought this JBL sound bar and it was an excellent decision. The soundbar sounds fantastic and the 10” sub has the low frquenices covered very well. Watching anything at vokume level 10-12 is very good, a movie at 20-22 is a cinematic experience, down to very low frequency, couch vabrating response. I may even warn apartment users that this may bother your neighbors. I only have one complaint, no matter what I play and what i play through(roku, steaming apps, 4k player) the soundbar will not switch on Dolby Atmos, display reads “unsupported”. It really doesn’t bother me though, beacuse it sounds great a truly does deilver 3D Room filling sound.

I purchased this for a elderly friend because she said she wanted to hear some booming base for her old music. I told here about the JBL speakers that I had and she only wanted a sound bar. Knowing JBL over many years and purchases I bought her bar 500 5.1ch and it was on sale. I went to her house and hooked up the sound bar and sub, she said it sounded heavenly! I was very surprised that an 82 year old women would want to jam that loud! The subwoofer is huge compared to other cheaper models and the sound was crisp, sharp and crystal clear and needless to say that sub rocked the house! JBL quality is fantastic and well worth the money. It does a great job with highs and lows. I would definitely recommend this product!

This sound bar has excellent sound quality, gets super loud and is extremely good at producing a surround sound effect. The bass is really deep and all notes are very clear. I tried a similarly priced sound bar with rear speakers and this one blows it out of the water even without rear speakers.

I was surpised at the sound of this sound bar. Gets very loud and the bass is amazing. At first I was thinking they forgot to include the manual. I forgot about the JBL One app. Makes setup a breeze. Real simple just one HDMI to the earc/arc and hood to go. Like I said the sound is very impressive. The app works great all the settings you need. Its great to have the wifi and bluetooth also. Listen to music from your phone,tablet or pc. This is a great product!

First time I bought this, the sound was amazing for someone who isn't an audiophile. Room-filling bass, soundbar that fills the room with whatevee you're watching or listening to, at an affordable price. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting good sound on a budget.

Great sounding sound bar for my living room. It fills the room with sound for movies and music and has plenty of volume. We use the subwoofer at a 3 out of 5. At 5 its rumbling the house. Would recommend! Better than my last bar which was a Polk 2.1 model.
