Great sounding sound bar for my living room. It fills the room with sound for movies and music and has plenty of volume. We use the subwoofer at a 3 out of 5. At 5 its rumbling the house. Would recommend! Better than my last bar which was a Polk 2.1 model.

JUST GOT IT. SETUP MYSELF WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS. PAIRED WITH MY LG NANOCELL 65” INCH TV. IT WAS $599.00 PLUS TAX. IT SOUNDS GREAT. I CALIBRATED IT FOR MY SMALL CONDO. I SET THE BASS ON MAX. I TRIED OUT MY 4K GODZILLA DVD. POWERFUL BASS. 5.1 IS THE WAY TO GO. JBL IS A GREAT PRODUCT.

I've never been a fan of sound bar systems. I always thought they were the biggest waste of money, and that you should go big or go home with towers and subs. Until the day I walked into my local best buy with ZERO intent to buy anything, and heard this unit from the front door. I kid you not, for a sound bar system it for sure will rock a small-medium sized room. I have mine in a 13.5'x22' living room and it beautifully fills the entire room with sound. The sub it comes with doesn't compare to a klipsch R12, but isn't too far behind!! I have to have bass in my systems, or I am not happy. For the main speaker.... The sound quality is 100% there. It makes movies sound like there are speakers 360 around you, lol it definitely confused me the first couple times i listened to it... im not disappointed at all !!! i would buy it over and over and over again if i needed to. just for reference.... im used to hearing/having big surround sounds. multiple towers, multiple subs, ect... this unit will for sure stand out against any other sound bar system... ask your best buy rep to give you a full demo..... I will come back to add pictures very soon !!!

Excellent sounding Soundbar! Great bass from the subwoofer with 5 levels of boom. Easy to setup for TV, game systems and Bluetooth from phone as well. Very loud for a bedroom setup but is perfect for movies and gaming.

Excellent sound. Side speakers are almost as as good as rear. Easy control and setup. The bass is the best part of this. If you like a heavy rumble during action sequences you want this. You can manually toggle the base punch from one to five. You can manually toggle the base punch from one to 5. 5 is a bit too much for me, but it’s excellent overall. Great item, the woofer cabinet is big but worth the lunch.

Great sound bar, looks sleek, easy to set up. Sounds quality, for a sound bar, is fantastic. Yes a proper receiver and full surround system will be better but for a low profile solution to stick in a room that gets a lot of traffic this still sounds very good. Volume buttons integrated with my Google TV remote just fine. Also, i really like that the app didn't require me to make another account. It's an option, of course, but you can also just use it locally without logging in at all. You can even activate the casting features without a login (obviously you'll need a login for whichever cast service you use). This might not effect sound quality but it's such a welcome rarity in products these days I felt the need to give JBL huge kudos on that one and it'll keep them at the top of my list for connected audio in the future. At sick of needing a new account for every product.

Good but not the great in the beginning it keep disconnecting due to poor plug or something sound of bass is good but sharpness is lacking on words to hear

Got 2 days ago. installation was simple, subwoofer just connected, used phone app to connect to wi fi and it automatically updated. used HDMI and it connected and started. ONLY issue so far was in the morning I had to unplug and restart for it to start producing sound again. The bass sound was very strong, 5 levels and with the movie I picked was still hard to hear voices at level 1, so had to use phone app to increase treble and decrease bass, this fixed the problem and I still got very strong bass at level 5 using button on remote control. nice sound, lots of volume that fills room. one feature I wish it had, is to tell me if its using Atmos or Dolby? my old stereo would indicate which sound feature was active. The universal tv mount was much harder to install. very happy with bar.

The sound quality is pretty good. I like the wireless sub-woofer's sound from where it sits on the opposite side of the room. It gives a very good surround sound effect; especially during action movies. I am not sure how the BAR 500 compares with other brands in the same price range. My only "complaint" is that the font size of the configuration instructions should/could be increased.

Purchased this when it was on sale. The set up process was pretty easy. It has an app where you can fine tune how you want it to sound. You can use the speaker independently of the tv. So you can stream Bluetooth or Spotify directly to it without turning on the tv. This is a 5.1 surround sound bar. Up close you can definitely notice the surround sound. But once you move about 10 feet back it becomes hard to notice that the sound is coming from different directions. Because it’s all in one bar, you can’t space out the side speakers like a proper 5.1 system. The subwoofer is really good and it does a good job only sending the lower frequencies to the woofer and keeping the voices in the soundbar. The subwoofer is wireless, just needs power. The soundbar works with digital optical or hdmi arc. It also comes with mounts if you want to mount this on the wall. It’s a great bar for normal set ups. And an entry level 5.1 system.

JBL's soundbar and subwoofer have changed by tv from something I watch, to something I truly experience. While the speakers in my new LG tv aren't that bad, they in no way compare to the JBL's. Sure, it's a little pricey, compared with the lesser offerings of other brands, but absolutely worth every penny.

I'll give 5 stars for it's awesome sound. The bass shakes my couch when cranked to level 5, the highest. It did work essily with my samsung s95d through the eARC. The app for this has an equalizer...kinda rudimentary but allowe low mid and high adjustments. My only complaints are each time it starts up it is in it's smart mode...i like it off abd there is a way to turn it off...but each time...kind of a pia...also one time it lost communication with my tv and i had to unplug it then it was fine.
