Customer Ratings & Reviews

Love it! It’s not heavy at all. It has a good bass sound. But i love that it has an equalizer on the app

I’ve been very impressed with the JBL Boombox 4. The sound quality is powerful, with deep bass and clear highs, making it perfect for parties, outdoor gatherings, or just listening to music at home. The battery lasts a long time, so I don’t have to worry about charging it frequently. It’s easy to carry with the built-in handle, and the build quality feels very durable. The only downside is that it’s a bit heavy, but that’s expected for a speaker of this size. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality portable Bluetooth speaker.

This speaker was not what I expected, in the best of ways of course. Its loud, yes, but at the right amount. Depending on the environment, it can either burst your ears in a small room, or you can hear it from the next block over. With the Bass Boost feature, you can not only hear the music, but FEEL the sound waves. And last but not least, Auracast, i have the Charge 6 and Clip 5 which also have Auracast and can easily sync up my music in my home or at gatherings and you can walk into the next room with a synced speaker with the music seemlessly following you. For the price, this product exceeded my expectations. If you’re a JBL fanatic, this ones a no brainer if you like taking your music on the go.

I've been using the JBL Boombox 4 for a couple of weeks now, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The sound is powerful and clear, with deep bass that doesn't overpower the vocals or highs. It gets incredibly loud without noticeable distortion, making it perfect for backyard gatherings, beach trips, or just listening at home. The battery life has been good, lasting through long listening sessions without needing to recharge. I also appreciate the rugged, waterproof design, which gives me peace of mind when using it outdoors. Bluetooth pairing was quick and easy, and the connection has stayed stable. Overall, the JBL Boombox 4 delivers impressive performance, great build quality, and outstanding sound. If you're looking for a portable speaker that combines power, durability, and long battery life, I would definitely recommend it.

I got this $100 off and it was well worth it. I have loved my boombox 3, but the 4 takes it to a totally different level concerning loudness and bass with the same or better clarity because of the enhanced EQ on the BB4. It is also noticeably lighter as well. It literally gets twice as loud and the bass capabilities aren’t even comparable. I have every boombox and i would say this one is the biggest upgrade over the previous generation. I can also connect this with my Partybox 520 out in the yard with auracast and the batteries are interchangeable which is great. People complaining about the price are the people that don’t know much about modern tech. The lightness and portability of a speaker that sounds the way the BB4 does shouldn’t exist. The BB4 is well worth the price. Get one. You won’t regret it. I use “Rock” Eq on my iPhone combined with a custom EQ curve on the JbL app and prefer deep bass mode for the best sound.

This JBL Boom 4 is the party starter ! Bass is thumping, sound is clear, and battery life is lit – 24 hours of nonstop jamz! Waterproof, portable, and BOOMING loud. Perfect for beach vibes or backyard hangs

Finally... I can jam with the subcompact benefits of a real fine quality boombox. The audio is crisp. There is some preset audio contols and for those who can do custom it has it. I love it! Battery life is good the durability is good. It doesnt rattle. Positioning is important and i wish they made a little better cover for it but it did have a cover so no problems from me.

Amazing bass on this speaker and it gets loud very good tweeters and you can connect as many auracast speakers you want to this i paired with this the flip7 and extreme4 it's great just a little heavy but worth it for that low end bass sound

If you are looking for the absolute loudest, bass-thumpingest portable Bluetooth speaker on the market, look no further. The JBL Boombox 4 takes everything that made its predecessor a legend and dials it up to 11. With higher wattage, a smarter acoustic layout, and deep-hitting sub-bass that you can feel in your chest, it easily claims the crown as the best heavy-hitting portable speaker.

I just received my JBL Boombox 4 through UPS in just 3 business days. Not only was my product shipped to me fast but the box was much bigger than I expected. After testing the sound on this boombox I realized this boombox sounded a lot more like a kicker I had installed in a car. This boombox is off da wall, Seriously, all these comparisons they advertise on YouTube are garbage. No more comparing because if you ain’t got JBL, you ain’t got a boombox. Not only does this boombox have superior sound, but it has bass that bumps just as loud as my JBL 1300 & it’s portable. You got to get this boombox, there is nothing but pure bass & you get every dollars worth & even more for what you bargain for. JBL4LIFE.

“The JBL Boombox 4 Portable Waterproof Speaker delivers incredible bass, super powerful sound, and long-lasting battery life. Plus, the design is beautiful, and its water resistance makes all the difference for use anywhere!”

This speaker has decent power. Sounds decent battery life. If you played a full power last about 5 hours If you are conservative with the power could last longer overall, an ok product dust proof water resistant, convenient to move around, if you are interested in moving a speaker around, this will be a great product.

Amazing sound quality and battery life. Don’t hesitate to demo it. It is a keeper. Coming from an extreme 2 = no comparison. Very livhtweight for the amount of distortion free output

Bought this as a gift for family - they love it. Produces great sound.

Great sounding speaker, the louder It plays The better it sounds I found to get the best clarity Between base & vocals is to download the app. And use the EQ. Battery life is good and I like the flexibility of being able to pop out old battery and replace it with a fresh one when on the go.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent purchase. The sound is powerful and very clear, with incredible bass. The battery lasts a long time and the build quality feels premium. Without a doubt, I would buy JBL products again. Totally recommended!

This boombox sounds amazing and is so loud!!! I felt like Radio Raheem in the park with my JBL boombox 4!!

Like the portability. Lower volume, just turn on the bass boost, makes it sound rich. Looks like it has good build quality. Easy to carry anywhere.

It’s the best party speaker I have ever seen! Very load not huge or heavy but it does the work perfectly! Love it

Copilot said: Very impressed with this speaker. The sound quality is outstanding, and its compact size makes it easy to take just about anywhere. I’ve owned other JBL speakers and have always been happy with them, but this one exceeded my expectations. After hearing it in the store, I thought the acoustics might be helping, but once I used it outdoors, I was genuinely blown away. The sound is clear, powerful, and delivers impressive bass for its size. My friends and I were all impressed. It cost a little more than I normally spend, and I had some buyer’s remorse at first. After the first use, though, I knew it was worth it and I'm glad I made the purchase. It's lightweight, easy to connect, and the battery life is excellent. I used it for about five straight hours with the higher bass setting and still had plenty of charge left. Whether you're tailgating, camping, or hanging out with friends, it's a great speaker. I highly recommend checking it out.
