So much better than listening through your phone. The bass is there but overall somewhat of an artificial sound. I listened to the $100 Sony at the store but it didn't have the similar bass. Would like to see better mids and highs to balance out the sound. Not meant to stand on end like a tower so it takes up some counter space. But this has a quality sound and build. Connection not always automatic but that is minor.

Love this speaker and it’s waterproof! I could take it with me on the boat I could take it with me to the beach and I just keeps on ticking does it last for about 12 hours and I could charge my phone if I need to love it

This product was bought to use while playing golf this plays all types of music with great clarity also can take a fall from inside the golf cart down the fairway and sidewalk I haven't tested the water part out. Has a pure some quality and also has a great connectivity to other JBL speakers part of the JBL connect Bluetooth range is further than what is stated battery life is long I can play about three rounds of golf before recharging a great charger for my iPhone playing using a GPS for Golf as well as radio app.

JBL are great, and this its perfect, the volume and quality its great, and the size its not to big. Also it can go under water.

Easy to connect to blue tooth. Sound is clear and crisp. It can be quite loud if you want.

So I was reading all of the reviews on Best Buy and watching all of the reviews on YouTube. I was stuck. I decided to go to the store and check out the speakers in person (which I suggest you to do). The Charge 3 and Flip 4 both sound superb to me, but if you are able to spend a little more for better battery and a louder speaker, go with the Charge 3, which is what I did.

Purchased this off a deal of the day so the price was great! I love the fact this is waterproof.Sound quality is great and syncing was simple! I love the charge 2 but since this is waterproof, this is a step up.

What I like: 1) improved sound 2) beefier than the 2+ 3) waterproof instead of just splash resistant 4) improved battery life over previous generation. What I don't like: So far, nothing to dislike. I'll update as time goes on. Had some issues with the 2+ when using the aux plug and having the unit suddenly shut itself off after a few minutes, but haven't tested the aux connection yet on the 3. I've been a fan of JBL and Harman Kardon for a long time now, so this was a no-brainer for me. Great sound!

Great for outdoor activities, cookouts, poolside, beach, bonfires, you name it. You'll be the life of the party with your Bluetooth connected JBL. Awesome volume and sound plus you can pair additional units for great stereophonic sound. Waterproof (read specs) means worry free. Got caught in the rain during a cookout and my JBL portable speaker was the last thing i worried about. Also awesome for indoor entertaining or if you're alone enjoying "me time". Take it any and everywhere.. Love it!

I just needed something with good quality sound for sitting on the back patio with family and friends. The volume is way more than what i needed so Im sure it would be good for someone having larger gatherings.

I saw all the great reviews online but honestly I was skeptical about the sound quality. All confusions were cleared up once I had the thing connected and started playing music. Awesome. The sound intensity and the quality is superb. Even though you pump up the volume, the sound doesn't distort to unusable levels. The water resistance feature is a great plus and battery life is great. Very satisfied with this purchase. My unit came with a 3-month free subscription of google music.

I own both Charge 2 and now this one. This one you can tell right away it feels and its better built than the previous generation. Very crisp sound and deep bass. Awesome for using it outside being waterproof.

Sounds great, fair price, sturdy, long lasting battery, waterproof (I'll try not to test that), and it pairs really easily.

bought this for my 13 year old sight unseen off of his xmas list. WOW was I shocked. its sound quality is far superior to the UE Boom that I would have purchased in spite of his wishes had onbe been in stock. the bass is rich and crisp, the mid and high ranges are crystal clear. it really punches at the top and bottom. the look is sleek and the battery performance has not let hom down yet. I frequently have to yell at him to turn it down from a floor ablve our sound-proof garage.

Love the fact that this can be outside with me in any condition, from working in the garage to landscape work. No worries about water, dirt, etc doing much damage. We love it for travel as will. The ability to recharge it from my phone is great also. The sound is surprisingly good for what it is. It is good in any size room, but don’t expect it to sound like you just paid for a Sonos or Bose indoor speaker. For the price- I was surprised at how good it sounds.
