JBL Charge 5 Review – 5 Stars I recently picked up the JBL Charge 5, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. It’s everything I was looking for in a portable speaker. Design and Build Quality: 5/5 The Charge 5 has a rugged, sleek design with a durable fabric finish and a rubberized exterior that feels built to last. It’s IP67-rated, meaning it’s waterproof and dustproof, making it perfect for outdoor use. The buttons are intuitive, and the speaker has a solid, premium feel. Sound Quality: 5/5 The sound is incredible for its size! The bass is deep and powerful, while the mids and highs are clear and balanced. Whether I’m using it for a party or just chilling outside, the sound fills the space easily, and the bass doesn’t overpower the rest of the music. It’s loud enough for both indoor and outdoor use. Absolute worth the money! This speaker has amazing and loud sound, well built with high quality materials, an incredible bass and long lasting battery. It is a light weight and portable speaker, so it makes it ideal to take it with you for your indoor family/friends gatherings and/or outdoor events. Buttons are easy to use and supper responsive. Easy to connect to your phone or smart TV to enhance audio experience. I love the new power bank feature to charge your phone and make the party music keep going! 100% recommended!

Love the bass adn crispness of the sound that resonates from this little box. It can get loud too without any noticeable distortion. A couple of things I wish it had was usb-c out and some mechanism to attach a strap (like the flip series). the 7500 mAh battery is plenty for long music sessions. I purchased a case for it so I need not worry about the ends being damaged.

I couldn't decide between the Charge 5 and the Flip 6. One has a bigger sound and 20 hour battery (Charge) and one is more portable with a 12 hour battery but still has great sound (Flip), amazing bass for its size. So I got both, expecting to maybe return one within BB's 15 day return policy. What I found was that the two together are amazing... They have a link feature (PartyBoost) that gives a huge spatial sound when in use. I put the larger speaker in front of me and the smaller off to the side, closer to my ear. Once you hear this it will be hard to listen to just one speaker. So, keeping them both, very happy with my purchase... JBL links to Bluetooth effortlessly (I have an android phone and other BT sources). Once linked, sound will switch between speakers by turning the power on/off.

This JBL speaker is the best quality sounding ever! Waterproof, mine came in camouflage, bass is bumpin’, you can charge your phone, and the best thing is that it links with other JBL loudspeakers to give you an amazing audio experience. This loudspeaker far exceeds my highest expectations. Buy one and you’ll be very satisfied. Awesome product.

Great portability and great sound. This speaker doesn't disappoint and it can play very loud...great for inside and outside sound. The downloadable app is just bare-bones but you can adjust the EQ and manage multiple speakers. I also bought a travel case.

Can I just say, this speaker packs some serious volume and bass! Super impressed with quality of the sound and overall build of the speaker!

Amazing speaker! Loud enough to fill an entire backyard with sound. It’s great for small parties and has a lot more bass than most speakers in this size range. I’ve tried a few other small Bluetooth speakers and all of them are lacking bass. I highly recommend this speaker! The midrange and high frequencies come in loud and clear too. This speaker is worth every penny.

I absolutely loved my JBL Charge 5 speaker. The bass is amazing and the souns clarity even with bass was better than other speakers when compared. The battery life is mind blowing. I went weeks without having to recharge from the first time I charged it fully upon arrival, and I used it daily for hours. My sister ended up falling in love with it so much she bought one for herself!

This little speaker has impressed me every step of the way. The sound is way bigger than you expect and the bass is great. No distortion at high levels even with the low frequencies turned up on the eq. The battery life is amazing. I had it going at a BBQ for 10 straight hours and it only dropped to 50% battery life. I’m thoroughly happy with it. JBL has hit a Home Run with the Charge 5!!

Got this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely loves it! Indoor or outdoor, the sound quality is amazing. Lightweight and easily portable. The charge capacity is ridiculous! He's only had to charge it twice since getting it. That thing can go for days. The sound quality isn't effected by a low charge either. No static ect. It's very sturdy too. Very well made. I would definitely recommend this speaker.

have been enjoying this speaker for my google tv. it is reliable one. the main feature i loved is auto connect. whenever i turn on my google tv, this auto connects to tv and i can simply play anytime - it just works. loved it. second, the loop allows to pair with my partner's jbl chargr as well. the sound quality, the bass is amazing. generally i needed to have 10-12 volume level out of 20 for my google tv but for this speaker even 7 is too loud and need to keep it 6. on top of it - battery is super. & portable is amazing. i take this speaker with me across my house wherever i am doing a thing and don't miss a connection with tv. when i am in garage, i play some playlist in tv, take this with me or in attic or kitchen..just work fine. it has been tested thoroughly and works great. it can be used as fixed across my tv or portable around the house. simply amazing. i loved it.

JBL has always been reliable, excellent quality and value. Decades ago, my first car subs were JBLs and awesome overall. This JBL Bluetooth speaker is equally as awesome!

Overall very good sound, sharp highs, clear mids and a nice punch. Battery lasts long enough to make it thru a 13 hour shift. After a quick update I was able to use an equalizer to ajust the sound how I like. I ended up buying two and pairing them and noticed 2 things, the "master" speaker thats connected to your phone will discharge at a faster rate than the one connected to it. And you cant use the equalizer. (Not a deal breaker the built in Samsung one is better anyway) if you've had your eye on an Xtreme for a while id recommend 2 of these instead. pairing them in L/R mode and having a mini protable stereo is awesome and its about the same loudness if not louder

The JBL sound is amazing so glad I made this choice for my new sound system. The sound is as loud as you need it to be with great quality. This system is also waterproof so you can use it at the pool side or the beach.

I picked one of these up to replace my non-functional Pulse 2, hoping for improved battery life, sound quality, and for the extra feature of being a built-in power bank. So far, I’m very satisfied with the sound of this speaker. Rich bass, clarity, and the sound travels to fill a whole room with amazing acoustics as you increase the volume. Placed in a warehousing or factory environment, however, the sound will be drowned out considerably as you move 10-15 feet away from it. As for JBL boasting the 20-hour life, I haven’t experienced this even at 50% volume, and have yet to see this speaker outlast a 10-hour shift. lol! Maybe if you have it at a whisper, then maybe it would last that long. The plus side is at least you can charge something else up while listening to music. I recommend this speaker for all of its perks, but it’s best used in a small-space setting with very little to no other background noise to truly appreciate the power of this speaker. Two of these paired up would be overkill.

So i just got one of these today and Wow!! This is a pretty Nice speaker for sure!! It sounds Bomb!! I looked at the Flip 6, it was alright..i wanted More Sound and Bass!! I looked at all the speakers Best Buy had, Bose was Nice but not enough Bass!! ION Uber Boom, not that great, The Sonys were alright, but nothing compared to this Charge 5 !! Im Glad I spent the extra money and got this, as it Sounds Awesome!!
