    WHICH ONE TO GET

I bought these JBL E65BTNC and the Bose Soundlink Wireless 229.99 version and trying hard to decide which ones are better. Tough to do in store. It's so close I'm having a hard time deciding. Things positive for Bose: less weight, controls slight better feel, like the more padded headband portion, and maybe slight more room inside cup for ears and maybe very slightly more crisp sound. Things positive for JBL: Noise canceling which can be noticed to a degree, weight (little heaver which could be a good thing for speakers), more rich and full sound with bass, also when you move the headphones to your neck area the speaker portions rotate with the pads down which in my opinion is better/Bose only rotate opposite direction and have padded portion facing up. Makes it little more difficult to move your head around with Bose. Big Plus JBL $30 less expensive. I give the Bose the edge for comfort and the JBL slight edge in overall sound which is ever so slightly better for me. JBL offers more pressence. Both sound good but JBL selling point 30 bucks cheaper and has active noise cancelation. Also worth mentioning Bose headphones get a nice semi-ridged carrying case and with the JBL I got nothing even though it shows a bag.

They charged quickly (about 90 minutes) and immediately found a place on my ears. I wanted to compare them to my reference headset, audio-technica M50s. I listened to the JBLs for several hours. Wireless is very cool as one would expect. The E65s were easy to wear and had a very pleasing sound. Then I started looking for critical music to do quick-switch comparisons between the two headsets. I had the JBLs linked to my laptop while the M50s were plugged into a Focusrite USB interface on my desktop, both tuned into the same stream, I was able to switch headsets quickly enough to catch the subtle differences. Conclusion: The JBL E65s are very good Bluetooth headphones. They are comfortable and sonically pleasing although not as accurate as the M50s. As for operation, it wasn't a huge learning curve, I had them up and running in less than two minutes after the battery was charged. I like the JBLs. If they hold up like my war-torn ATs they will have earned 4.5 stars.

I needed a good set of NC headphones for flying. I hate trying to fall asleep and hearing the rumblings of the engine, people chattering, and the ever-present DING whenever the seatbelt sign goes on (constantly.) For the first time in however long, I actually slept on a flight with these on and watching a movie. The feature does leave a slightly audible hiss but distant chatter and incidental noise is drowned out or non-existent. Other reviews say that audio quality is sacrificed when NC is on, but I don't notice it. The sound is crisp, though I will say that the Sony's I tested along with these (ultimately returned the Sony headphones and kept these) sounded better, but the JBL sound was solid and did a much better job cancelling outside sound. They have a solid design that reminds me of a quality set of cans. I did return the first pair I bought because of a design flaw, but the second set is doing much better. Recommended for sound and features.

I bought these headphones for my son. I chose these over the beats for him even though he asked for beats. I chose these because I know JBL is top notch. I have always like JBL and these headphones DO NOT let you down! The sound is crystal clear and the noise cancelling is crazy good. I can't believe how much sound they drown out. The volume is incredible, even at high volume they are still nice and clear. BlueTooth is Very good, battery life is great, style is nice, fit is great, build quality is nice. I really liked how they came with a cord, so you can use them wired or with Bluetooth. My son likes to use the wire sometimes in case he drops his phone, it slows the impact of his phone hitting the ground. He also like how they fold and the bag that came with them, so he can put them in his backpack. Overall I really like these and the biggest part is my son Loves them! He likes them much more than the older beats he had. He said I made the right call getting him these over the beats. He legitimately said he is a HUGE fan of JBL now. :)

Let me start by saying, these aren't Bose, and not even Beats - BUT they are definitely competitive, especially for the price. I bought them to pair with my new MacBook for traveling purposes. Reasoning behind my purchase was the price point and quality of the headphones themselves. They're not built like the Bose, much more plastic feeling than anything, but sturdy. The ear cups are nice and cushioning and sit nicely on your ears without putting too much pressure on them. The only issues I've had so far is that they are a bit quiet for me, they could definitely go up a few more decibels. The other issue is that they've cut out at times with the noise-cancelling system. This is incredible irritable from the get go, but even worse if you're actually traveling at the time. Overall I'll give them a 3/5.

Products sounds good. Don't be mislead by the in store demo. You can crank it up in the store and they sound great, but when you pair them to your device you are limited to the volume of the headset, which is not very loud. Big disappointment. Overall sound quality is good. Expect audio/video latency that cannot be corrected when using them for TV. That is just a blue tooth issue, not so much a product issue. They are fairly uncomfortable after about 30 minutes of use. Price was good. $139. Still debating returning them. Music sounds good and movies sound really good. But again, just an average quality head phone. Head piece is not padded and is fairly heavy. I would recommend this product, but don't expect to be blown away.

Got these primarily for airline travel. Ear buds just don't cut it when trying to deal with crying babies and inconsiderate passengers. I put these puppies for the first time on during a cross-country flight and was in my own world, listening only to the soft peaceful music I enjoy minus the extraneous sounds in the cabin. Great full bodied sound with smooth lows and crisp highs. While listening to a video my wife shot of our granddaughter's concert, I could hear her breathing and even some of the whispering from others in the audience. Incredible!! Only one minor complaint: the top end of the volume could go a tad higher. NOTE- I was respectful to take them off during the flight attendant briefings.

Just bought these after also purchasing the JBL E55BT. Must say these ear cushions are a lot softer of the head. The memory foam molds perfectly to the surface of my head. The cushions tend to block out a bit more sound than the E55BTs. I can also compare these to the Sony WH-CH700N and I will say they are right there along side by side. Both Sound incredible but the JBLs kick a bit more bass. Enough to notice the difference. Both the JBLs and Sony headphones are build quite tough but one noticeable difference which can be a decider is that JBLs fold and also include a carrying pouch. The controls are great and easy to use, it just takes time to learn where the buttons are. Honestly these would get a 4.5 but the ear pocket is a bit on the narrow side.

I bought these to wear on my Metro commute into the city to replace my AKG earbuds that came with my phone. These are better in every way. When I turn the active noise cancelling off, most of the ambient noise disappears, and I can still faintly hear the conductor's announcements, which is a huge plus. I find myself turning the noise cancelling off and on occasionally just to admire the technology. I've had these for a few weeks and used them for 5 or 6 commutes (roughly an hour each way, so 10 to 12 hours total), plus around the house for a few hours and have not had to charge since I first did. I got these for $100 as a deal of the day but thinking about it I would have paid normal price as they are still much cheaper than most of the name brand competition.

I used to think JBL was too bright sounding and then I realized that I was used to listening to music with skewed equalization. Then I started to listen to and mix music with a flat or reference eq. I couldn't believe what I wasn't hearing. Ever since then, I really appreciate JBL's sound. It is clear and allows me to hear everything. I now use JBL reference monitors in my studio. I have several sets of headphones. These sound great! The wireless Bluetooth function is really nice! Love being able to listen to my music from my phone and iPad. This is my first set of noise cancelling headphones and I do like the "added" silent listening. These are comfortable to wear as well!

I listened to a lot of headphones before I bought these. The highs and mids are excellent. Very clear, some of the best on the market for clarity in my opinion. the bass is great not overpowering like my beats but just right. the noise cancellation is amazing! I can listing to music at a low volumes as I mow the lawn and not hear the mower at all. They can get louder the some of my other over the ear headphones as well. fit is snug, they stay on well. I don't care for the sound of the 450BT or the 55BT at all. But I love these. only thing thats odd, if you want to plug them in, it uses a 3.5mm to a 2.5mm cord. but it comes with one and I don't plan on using them plugged in anyway.

I recently bought these headphones because I saw many good reviews on them, but they all failed to mention the build quality. After about 4 months of use, one of the pins holding one of the ear cups to the headband fell off, making the headphones unusable. They are made mostly out of plastic and they feel cheap. The sound is very good. It has rich bass and doesn’t sound too muddy. Hopefully JBL makes their headphones more stronger with the next model.

These JBL's were bought because I had some traveling coming up and I got tired of borrowing headphones from others. I got the JBL knowing the noise cancellation was not on the par of high end Sony or Bose. But the NC was not why I picked them up. I picked these up because they sound really really good. They have a very pleasing natural sound through all the frequencies (everybody hears differently btw). They are comfortable enough to wear on long flights. The Bluetooth works great! I also really like that the cord has a mic built in so when I am on Zoom or Skype, the calls sound better.

I admit I’m spoiled when it comes to headphones and have easily dropped double the amount on headphones to produce and mix music which has been my profession for more than a couple decades. My husband and son gave me these for Xmas and I was a little surprised, but I’m pleased with the output and they’re comfortable on the ears with excellent noise blocking capability. The phones are a little bassy and I can’t figure out how to adjust them to bring up the middle. Nonetheless, they would be great for working on a plane or a noisy cafe. They block out the world without the pricey sticker of a Bose.

I previously had the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless and my dog ate them. Got these as a gift and they are great, but some features are not as good as the skullcandy ones. Biggest cons are the adjustable head pieces are loose, so they can start to drop off your ears as you are running. Also, sound quality is good, but as others have said, they could go louder and the bass isn't the best. I am keeping these, as I do like that they fold up nicely and have a much better range than the skullcandy (I couldn't walk away from my phone with those without losing my sound). Overall, really not bad.

Needed to replace old headphones and wanted a wired pair and after testing these headphones, in store, I realized I could hear elements of music I wasn't aware of and when I used them at home, tonal notes and phrasing in music were clear and vibrant. Although the headphones are also wireless, I prefer the wired option and enjoy the long cord that comes with the product. Fairly easy to set up and JBL is leading company for headphones and other music products. Great buy and sound for price.

This is the second set of headphones I’ve purchased. The first was for my step-daughter and she wears them everywhere we go. She absolutely loves them. The second I bought for my wife since she like led them as much as her daughter. I would recommend them to anyone who loves to listen to music on the go. Only negative review is that we had a pairing issue where it would not allow the headphones to be found via Bluetooth connection. This was resolved with a simple customer support call.

I originally needed a wired head set for use with my Oculus Go. These were on a great sale during holiday sales so I gave the demo a listen and was very impressed. Was originally thinking I would get Beats Solo 3's and ended up spending about $100 less and getting sound quality at least as good if not better than the Beats! I use the bluetooth function for when I want to watch tv in bed without disturbing my wife and the wired function when connected to my VR headset. Love the versatility and sound quality all in one!

I've had this set for about a month and I enjoy these headphones very much. The sound quality is excellent, and they are amazing for frequent travelers (especially flyers). I try not to use them when it''s raining or snowing, because they are not waterproof and I'm paranoid that something will happen to them. The only problem that I sometimes have with these is that from time to time it looses connection, when I'm outside and the wind is blowing strongly. Even though I would still give them 5 out 5 stars.

I typically like lighter headphones, but started traveling a bit and wanted something to block out noise on the plane. These are great! I find the heavy but comfortable. They feel well made. The battery life is decent and I like that I can have them paired with multiple devices. The sounds and noise cancelation seem great to me. I do have a bit of hearing loss so I don't claim to be terribly discerning, but they are the best sounding headphones I have owned.
