Working from home and living in a noisy household (with men), these were indeed a lifesaver! It was “love at first sight” when I tried them on in the store and heard complete silence. Listening to music was an added plus! Being a Bose Girl normally, I am VERY impressed with JBL! I am now a fan!

Sound and noise cancelling are great.
The issue is that the left bracket broke after minimal use.

I'm very disapointed with the quality of this device. The sound is great, noice cancelling works great and I enjoyed all that.
However, not even 2 years and a 200-USD device is not usable anymore. The device is falling apart. The glue on one side of the headphone gave up. The device refuse to charge, regadless of what USB cable I use.

I bought these headphones for my son. I chose these over the beats for him even though he asked for beats. I chose these because I know JBL is top notch. I have always like JBL and these headphones DO NOT let you down! The sound is crystal clear and the noise cancelling is crazy good. I can't believe how much sound they drown out. The volume is incredible, even at high volume they are still nice and clear. BlueTooth is Very good, battery life is great, style is nice, fit is great, build quality is nice. I really liked how they came with a cord, so you can use them wired or with Bluetooth. My son likes to use the wire sometimes in case he drops his phone, it slows the impact of his phone hitting the ground. He also like how they fold and the bag that came with them, so he can put them in his backpack. Overall I really like these and the biggest part is my son Loves them! He likes them much more than the older beats he had. He said I made the right call getting him these over the beats. He legitimately said he is a HUGE fan of JBL now. :)

Just bought these after also purchasing the JBL E55BT. Must say these ear cushions are a lot softer of the head. The memory foam molds perfectly to the surface of my head. The cushions tend to block out a bit more sound than the E55BTs. I can also compare these to the Sony WH-CH700N and I will say they are right there along side by side. Both Sound incredible but the JBLs kick a bit more bass. Enough to notice the difference. Both the JBLs and Sony headphones are build quite tough but one noticeable difference which can be a decider is that JBLs fold and also include a carrying pouch. The controls are great and easy to use, it just takes time to learn where the buttons are. Honestly these would get a 4.5 but the ear pocket is a bit on the narrow side.

I bought these to wear on my Metro commute into the city to replace my AKG earbuds that came with my phone. These are better in every way. When I turn the active noise cancelling off, most of the ambient noise disappears, and I can still faintly hear the conductor's announcements, which is a huge plus. I find myself turning the noise cancelling off and on occasionally just to admire the technology. I've had these for a few weeks and used them for 5 or 6 commutes (roughly an hour each way, so 10 to 12 hours total), plus around the house for a few hours and have not had to charge since I first did.
I got these for $100 as a deal of the day but thinking about it I would have paid normal price as they are still much cheaper than most of the name brand competition.

I bought these headphones for my wife for Christmas. She rides the subway every day to work and needed some noise cancelling headphones. For the price, the sound and noise cancellation work great. For conducting phone calls, not good, but it does work, technically. Making phone calls over BT with these was probably an afterthought but again, it does technically work.
The main problem is that after 6 mos of normal use, the hinge pin fell out from one side and you can't put it back in. It's a terrible design. They're going to send me out a new set since it's within a year, but what a hassle. And it's going to take about 3 weeks.
My advice would be to pay more for a better set of headphones that are going to stand up to daily use, or buy the protection plan from best buy, so you can just swap them out for a new set when they inevitably fall apart. I normally don't advocate for protection plans but right now I sure wish I had one...

I typically like lighter headphones, but started traveling a bit and wanted something to block out noise on the plane. These are great! I find the heavy but comfortable. They feel well made. The battery life is decent and I like that I can have them paired with multiple devices. The sounds and noise cancelation seem great to me. I do have a bit of hearing loss so I don't claim to be terribly discerning, but they are the best sounding headphones I have owned.

I recently bought these headphones because I saw many good reviews on them, but they all failed to mention the build quality. After about 4 months of use, one of the pins holding one of the ear cups to the headband fell off, making the headphones unusable. They are made mostly out of plastic and they feel cheap. The sound is very good. It has rich bass and doesn’t sound too muddy. Hopefully JBL makes their headphones more stronger with the next model.

Solid Sound and Noise Cancelling Works

I needed a good set of NC headphones for flying. I hate trying to fall asleep and hearing the rumblings of the engine, people chattering, and the ever-present DING whenever the seatbelt sign goes on (constantly.) For the first time in however long, I actually slept on a flight with these on and watching a movie. The feature does leave a slightly audible hiss but distant chatter and incidental noise is drowned out or non-existent. Other reviews say that audio quality is sacrificed when NC is on, but I don't notice it. The sound is crisp, though I will say that the Sony's I tested along with these (ultimately returned the Sony headphones and kept these) sounded better, but the JBL sound was solid and did a much better job cancelling outside sound. They have a solid design that reminds me of a quality set of cans. I did return the first pair I bought because of a design flaw, but the second set is doing much better. Recommended for sound and features.

Got these primarily for airline travel. Ear buds just don't cut it when trying to deal with crying babies and inconsiderate passengers. I put these puppies for the first time on during a cross-country flight and was in my own world, listening only to the soft peaceful music I enjoy minus the extraneous sounds in the cabin. Great full bodied sound with smooth lows and crisp highs. While listening to a video my wife shot of our granddaughter's concert, I could hear her breathing and even some of the whispering from others in the audience. Incredible!! Only one minor complaint: the top end of the volume could go a tad higher. NOTE- I was respectful to take them off during the flight attendant briefings.

I listened to a lot of headphones before I bought these. The highs and mids are excellent. Very clear, some of the best on the market for clarity in my opinion. the bass is great not overpowering like my beats but just right. the noise cancellation is amazing! I can listing to music at a low volumes as I mow the lawn and not hear the mower at all. They can get louder the some of my other over the ear headphones as well. fit is snug, they stay on well. I don't care for the sound of the 450BT or the 55BT at all. But I love these. only thing thats odd, if you want to plug them in, it uses a 3.5mm to a 2.5mm cord. but it comes with one and I don't plan on using them plugged in anyway.

These JBL's were bought because I had some traveling coming up and I got tired of borrowing headphones from others.
I got the JBL knowing the noise cancellation was not on the par of high end Sony or Bose. But the NC was not why I picked them up. I picked these up because they sound really really good. They have a very pleasing natural sound through all the frequencies (everybody hears differently btw). They are comfortable enough to wear on long flights. The Bluetooth works great! I also really like that the cord has a mic built in so when I am on Zoom or Skype, the calls sound better.

Saw these on and in store display. They fit great and snuggly as noise canceling headphones should. The noise canceling feature works great. I never fly without noise canceling headphones and it was time to buy a new pair when I found these. I have owned more expensive headphones but these measure up to any I have owned in the past at what I think is a very reasonable price.

The headphones are excellent when compared to other major brands like Sony, Beats, and others. The sound quality is great and the headphone itself is very durable. The battery life matches with what is written on the box. The battery life for most headphone companies come up short as identified on the box. It is worth every dollar spent on the product.

As a professional musician I am very familiar with JBL products in the commercial sense. These do not disappoint. Flexible, comfortable and adaptable to most situations. Not too big and clunky like some other models and they sound great. Big boomy bass is easy to get. Clarity and crispness in the highend is what makes these a good buy at this price point.

These headphones are so good at canceling noise that I can mow the lawn and not have to turn them up beyond half way. I can wear them for hours but they do squeeze a bit. Bass response is fantastic but not out of balance. My son has a pair of Sony headphones with extra bass and it just seems so overblown. Anyway, these have balanced highs and lows with good clarity in the midrange.
My one complaint is that if you pair them with more than one device they seem to fight with each other and the connection will glitch. The only way to prevent them from automatically pairing with more than one device is to tell the devices I'm not using to "forget this device." I wish there was a way to set the headphones to pair with only one device.

Noise cancelling works great, good bass and mids more accurate in the highs. These headphones took a little time to break in, but are very comfortable around to ears and blocks most outside noises.

These are a great fit for me! They completely cover my ears. However, I do not have large ears. They are definitely noise canceling and very comfortable. They are like little pillows on my ears.
