Good for home karaoke

I used a Yamaha MG10XU and a series of adapter to connect my source (iPad/laptop/phone) then split audio and video to respective destinations. The sound range is very good for the price. It has Bluetooth capability which I use often to stream music. It also has two XLR/TS connections for mic or instruments. I only use the XLR for left and right input from my board. The overall tone is bright, has decent bass but not too deep. Has preset EQ but I leave it flat so I can use my mixer to tweak what I need. I would say it would helpful to have a remote to turn on and off. The buttons are located in the back and if you’re not doing gigs, it’s a pain to turn it on and off. Also volume control is manual knob in the back so I have it set in one spot and I just control it via mixer. You might want to plan ahead of location of this thing and what it will be used for. Others may not be happy with everything being manual controls and buttons. Overall sound quality is very good for the price range. It is a little heavy but comparing other brands like Behringer, it’s about the same for the size. I did not even know if there are battery capability, mine is always plugged in.

And it doesn't sound that great. Definitely not JBL quality. I've had DJ speakers before and I know that they are not high quality sound. They are met just to be loud and bassy. But this speaker has neither. It doesn't get that loud. No way the speaker is 1200 w. No way. I would return it but I can still use it maybe. Because it doesn't have the connections that I need to hook to my mixer. So why is it a DJ speaker?

It was loud and clear but no boom i put it on a stand for more range. It was clear but no bass in it at all. I hate the power/bluetooth buttons they are tricky to turn on off. i recommend for purchase but not at $499.99 It is overpriced in my opinion due to no thump on what u would expect from jBL.
