As always, JBL speakers sound full and rich we with sound. Where this speaker falls short is with what they are advertising, the Google assistant. Very difficult to set up and I would say I'm tech savvy. Good luck having someone set it up who isn't as good. I would use only as a speaker, not a smart speaker

Bought this for my parents as a gift. They talk to it in spanish and love it. Sound is great!

This is an awesome smart speaker with excellent sound. Outside of using your Bluetooth connection and directly finding a song to play through the speaker, it is not "smart" enough to locate and play mp3 tracks located on your device, only through music apps.

This JBL is very good. Good for picnics at the park and at the beach. Very good loud sounds.

Invest your money elsewhere if you’re looking for any kind of Bluetooth or smart speaker. After one month, the sound became muffled, then it completely stopped working all together. It will not charge and will not turn on. I brought it back to Best Buy and was told that they cannot accept returns on JBL, the claim has to be processed through them. (I am Elite Plus and have a 45 day return policy but apparently this didn’t apply to JBL products). After more than a week, I am STILL trying to get JBL to process a warranty claim on this now $150.00 paper weight. They keep replying with emails on how to troubleshoot the speaker rather than processing a claim. I clearly stated in my claim (which asks for details about the issue) the methods I used to troubleshoot and still I have been sent emails that feel as though they are automatically generated to postpone the warranty and possibly discourage the claim. Hey, JBL!!!!! HOW ABOUT STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS!!!!!!!! This will be the last JBL product I EVER purchase. They are a division of Harmon, which produces other brands as well...such as Harmon Kardon and Infinity. I’ll be sure to stay away from all three and I’d suggest you do the same. If you want a Bluetooth speaker with google assistant, get a Sony LF-S50G.

Product has good specs vs a Google home (better sound and battery). It is also working fine even though the voice recognition is slightly less effective than home mini (less mics ?). Speaker was buggy almost since the first day (hard to turn on, or loosing wifi) so we had to frequently turn it off and turn it on. After 6 months it completely stopped working for no reason. After contacting the customer support of JBL for a repair they offered to ship the product to their warehouse for inspection. After 3 weeks UPS declared they lost the parcel.... It took me more than 20 emails + phone calls and more than 2 months to get a new unit. Customer service was reactive but really not effective to deal with this type of issue. Based on other comments it seems that quality problem is a known issue for this product.

Really like the speaker. Gave it a 4 star instead of 5 because I feel that the sound quality could be just a little bit better. But overall I love it. It is so handy to have the google assistant built in with the ability to play Google music directly on the speaker. Great for the shower.

So the first gen of Google speakers/minis/Homes had very mediocre sound. I already had a portable JBL speaker which rocks. This was an easy choice. Music sounds good, for what the speaker is.

Bought this as a gift for my son and he loved it. Great sound, easy set up and syncs up very easy.
