I've been really impressed with the JBL Boombox 4. The sound quality is amazing, with deep, punchy bass and clear vocals that stay crisp even at higher volumes. The battery lasts a long time, so I don't have to worry about charging it during the day. I also like how solid and durable it feels, and the waterproof design gives me peace of mind when using it outdoors. Bluetooth connects quickly and stays stable, making it easy to play music from my phone. Overall, I'm very happy with this speaker and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, high-quality portable Bluetooth speaker. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The JBL Xtreme 5 delivers huge sound, deep bass, and impressive clarity for a portable speaker. The upgraded power output really makes a difference, especially outdoors or at higher volume levels. Battery life has been solid, and fast charging helps get you back up quickly. I also like the rugged waterproof design and the new lighting effects add a fun touch at night. If you want a speaker that gets loud, stays portable, and still sounds clean, the Xtreme 5 is definitely worth checking out.
I have an Xtreme 5 and a Charge 6. Auracasting is top notch between them. I use the smaller Charge 6 at work because it fits in a 9 inch plastic box that holds it perfectly. However, it is monoaural with a single 20mm tweeter, and so anything that pans left and right heavily will lose volume and definition. The Xteme 5 is true stereo and has TWO 20mm tweeters. This is a huge deal but the Xteme is much larger than the Charge. However, both have user replacable batteries (much easier to access on the Xtreme than the Charge). That means these will be thumping for the next decade. The Xtreme has bluetooth 6, and I can walk over fifty feet away with my phone. Charge has 5.3, but good enough for now. I love both. I suggest both. But what you use it for and the size of your situstion should be what makes you decide between them for your budget. Not everyone has saved up credit card points; I didn’t NEED both, I just wanted both. I also use both by the pool. My kids splash ‘em, knock them in the pool, and they work like a boss. I was obsessed with the MegaBoom for years. Well, I gave my Megaboom4 to my 8-year-old and I may never look back. Will I get the Boombox 4? Nah. It’s awesome; my buddy has one; I love it, but I am happy with the Xtrme and Charge. They go on bike rides, in the shower, to work, and both are loud over the rumbling roar of a diesel engine. That plastic bin I mentioned will amplify the Charge (8.7 inches) very well at work. I got it because it will fit where I kept my Megaboom4. But I can sit my Xteme on a table behind my head and play drums to that. Both make me absurdly happy. Both sound great for every genre of music, from Michael Jackson to Megadeth. Sonic seperation and rich sound stage are EVERYTHING to me. I need crisp highs, I need rich midbass (120hz-300hz, where the kick drum and bass guitar are clear and defined), and I need sub-frequency bass (bass drops, EDM thrumming, a resonant floor tom, all between 10-60hz). But I hate distortion between those two spectrums, and I also want clarity in my snare crack, my singing, my lead guitars, my cymbals … everything from 1000hz to 20khz is crisp and refreshing to me with the JBL signature EQ. I was not expecting that. I also like my rhythm guitar to be pronounced (500hz), and the signature EQ from JBL on both devices is steller. But here is the thing - you can plug your phone into these speakers if you’ve downloaded High-Resolution Lossless audio, and suddenly every song is EVEN BETTER. Wow. I was NOT expecting JBL to up their audio game in this price point. This is the most bang I have ever had for my buck. Literally. And so I had to have both. Just remember - the Charge 6 is 9 inches long and just under 4 inches at the middle of the cylinder. And it’s MONO, not stereo. The Xtreme 5 is STEREO and has Bluetooh 6, and a very easily accessable battery (even though both batteries on both speakers can be replaced). Let that help you make yoir choice. The app works on both and it’s reliable and easy to use. It lets you change the lighting colors on the Xtreme, the sound profiles on both, pair them together from across the room … whatever you need. It’s not a power user app; it’s streamlined for ease of use. But I have no need to change the EQ of either device. JBL’s signature setting is just that good to me.

I owned this speaker for about two weeks and it was amazing, I wanted to keep it so bad but i found a Boombox 3 brand new sealed for 280 so I chose that but dont get it twisted this speaker is loud and has more than enough bass for its size, i also have the xtreme 3 and this one is way better bass wise the xtreme 3 sounded clearer only because it has higher treble and mids were a little better but you can change that on the EQ

Love everything about it the portability sound and how versatile it can be the only reason why this product doesn’t get five stars for me is that it feels more like a statement, when pulling this out but really missing that. Wow factor and for the price that factor should definitely be installed.

I recently picked up the JBL Charge 5 Portable Bluetooth Speaker and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is incredible for a portable speaker — the bass is deep and punchy, the highs are crisp, and it easily fills a room or outdoor space without distortion. Battery life is fantastic. I can use it all day and still have plenty of charge left, which makes it perfect for the beach, backyard, or trips. The waterproof and dustproof design gives me total peace of mind taking it anywhere. One of my favorite features is the built-in power bank. Being able to charge my phone from the speaker is super convenient when I’m away from an outlet. Overall, the build quality feels premium, the connection is fast and reliable, and the performance is way better than expected for the size. If you’re looking for a powerful, portable speaker, the Charge 5 is an easy recommendation. Totally worth it!

Big but worth it if you want to play music loud, esp with Bass. My bf said it sounds like a car that has a sound system with subs in the back haha. The carrying strap is a great addition to make it easier to take with you anywhere.

I've been extremely impressed with the JBL Xtreme 5. The sound quality is outstanding, with clear highs, detailed mids, and deep, powerful bass that really brings music to life. Whether I'm listening indoors or outside, this speaker gets plenty loud without sacrificing sound quality. The bass is one of the best features. It hits hard and adds a lot of depth to music, making everything sound rich and full. Another huge plus is the battery life. I can use it for hours on end without worrying about recharging. Even with the volume turned up, the battery seems to last a very long time. I highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium portable Bluetooth speaker.

I wish i could have given 3.5 stars as i think thats the more accurate score. The speaker it self is decent, it has great bass for its size and weight, the rgb strip is cool. If you value portability but want a lound speaker this is a solid choice on sale. I paid 300 for mine and still returned it. For my needs i already have more portable speakers, this one was supposed to be for yard use. But i dont exactly like the direction that JBL has gone with their speaker layout. These are not 3 way driver set ups. Its larger woofer is for both mids and lows so sometimes the mids are over shadowed. It truly isnt bad, but it doesnt hold up to my expectations. I ended up finding a boombox 3 wifi for 75 bucks more thats got significantly better sound quality. It fit my needs better. If youre willing to give up some sound quality for more portability its not a bad speaker. Its just not for me.
