Victor Salva must have frequent nightmares to create such an evil character such as " the Creeper," I mean talk about an iconic nemesis that stalks humans once every 23rd spring comes to life and consumes human body parts that it needs or likes. It had been quite a long time since a truly original horror concept came to fruition with production companies churning out sequel after sequel of Friday the 13th & Freddy Krueger movies then out of the darkness comes " Jeeper's Creeper's" an original American horror classic! Talk about a breath of fresh air, this film delivers the thrills & chills in the style of Old-School classics from the 70's & 80's with a competent back-story that makes the viewer have empathy for the lead characters before diving into the action. No spoilers here, this is a film with a heart & it clearly knows where it is going & what it is... from the word go! VIDEO (MPEG-4 AVC Original aspect ratio: 1.85:1 50GB Blu-ray Disc) I was disappointing by the Blu-Ray image presented here with my Standard DVD via Oppo Upconversion player almost matching the Jeepers Creepers Blu-ray version. The HD image is soft with blacks looking less than rich, at times looking gray/black, definitely some crushing going on in darker scenes. Colors have little pop, then again this is a Horror film that is supposed to look grungy but I feel poor filming to be more the culprit than the former. AUDIO (English: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48kHz, 24-bit) Spanish: Dolby Digital 2.0 French: Dolby Digital 2.0 The highpoint of this Blu-ray presentation has to be the audio, with discrete sounds in the rear fields and the creepy musical score thundering the plot along. I found myself jumping a few times due to the cross fading & rear ambient sounds sneaking up from behind. This soundtrack is not perfect but it still scores high with clarity at high volumes with little in the way of hiss. A very competent 5.1 soundtrack that will send shivers down your spine! If not go ahead and buy this Blu-ray, its a minor bump up in Video quality but the audio is where this disc shines! P.S. forget IMDB's 5.9 score that site has become a joke, this film should be rocking a 7.5 minimum but you can't tell that to the Michael Bay, FX mind numbed robots!

Shout/Scream Factory has done it again with another one of MGM's NOW-classics (Gosh, 2001 was already 18 years ago?! Feel so old...) with Victor Salva's ("The Funhouse") gory, gross creature (or uh, creeper...) feature "JEEPERS CREEPERS," starring Justin Long ("Dodgeball"). Video is stunning...Awesome transfer...Crisp and clean. Stunning 1080p resolution shows amazing detail in all beautiful daylight scenes, and vivid detail surrounding the darker, more shadow-filled moments. Audio won't disappoint either! Surround sound submerges viewer right in the middle of the countryside with the two siblings running for their lives from the "Creeper," picking up every mosquito buzz, cat meow or slurp of a human head in this eerie horror film. LOADED with special features, reversible Blu-ray cover art (and a slipcover in the Blu-ray's original pressing only) this SF release will not disappoint! This release (as with all Shout/Scream Blu-ray releases) DOES NOT come with a Digital Copy Code. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! ****ALSO it is worth noting: This SCREAM FACTORY release of "JEEPERS CREEPERS" (as well as the SF Blu-ray release of "JEEPERS CREEPERS 2") is OOP (Out Of Print) as of 1/1/2020 so if you find them for a good price, grab it FOR SURE!****

Hearing mixed reviews about this movie I wasn't sure what to expect. I heard from several people that the first half was good, and that it went down hill from there. So how come an hour into the movie I found myself really enjoying it? The story was actually going good, it also was actually scary, scary like Halloween, not Scream. Which is a good change. Remember don't listen to what other people say, if you like scary movies, and no not to take them seriously go see this, it's worth the money.

If you're looking at this you're probably already a fan of Jeeper's Creepers, and this deluxe Blu Ray from Scream Factory definitely has you in mind. The HD transfer looks great as always, but the real draw here is the loaded special features disc. There are hours of commentaries, interviews, and more. And the new cover art looks really cool! If you're a fan like me who still has the old 00's DVD with its sparse extras and SD picture, I would not hesitate to upgrade to this!

A Great Horror Film To Start Off The Jeepers Creepers Franchise With Some Chills And Actual Goosebumps Under Your Skin From Beginning To End That Makes U Scared And Realistically Feel The Adrenaline In Ur Veins Like If It Were Something Real To Happen To U.. Literally Makes U Feel Like The Creeper Was After U As Well !... " Jeepers Creepers Where U Get Those Peepers " .........

If you enjoy this movie as much as I do, I recommend the double-dip (I've owned this movie on dvd, stand-alone blu-ray and as a blu-ray double feature with the sequel. The extras are great and the movie looks great as well. Can't wait to see the newest one (which I believe takes place between the 1st and (underrated) 2nd films.

I still remember when I saw this movie in the theater. It was truly scary up until you saw the creature, then it got a little incredulous. But, over repeat viewings, this has become one of my favorite horror films. It's well acted and builds suspense throughout. A great game of cat and mouse, or freak creature and mouse. Its sequels may have run out of steam, but this one's a great ride.

I watched this film when it originally came out and I thought it was decent but after a few years and a second viewing I have found it to be a very effective thriller with overtones of Steven Spielberg's Duel mixed with a bit of Children of the Corn. This movie is atmospheric and tense.

Sometimes horror films can surprise you because almost everything you can think off has been done before, and then some. But this one while it may be a "monster" movie really is different. With the Indie feel and Thriller expense you can't really go wrong with this movie. Plus it's great to view every Halloween.

When I first saw this movie I knew it was going to be a classic in the horror genre. And let me tell you if I saw a scarecrow like that one driving out in the country, that would creep me out. Let me just say this classic is worth the watch.

A great and classic horror film that still holds up to this day! The picture and sound quality is as good as it could ever be and is possibly better than I remember it even on the big screen! A must have in any horror fans collection!
