This item was listed as one of Best Buy's Deal of the Day, and the price was too good to pass up. As an added bonus, the unit also came with free Geek Squad installation. The unit itself is pretty good and has many, many features: dvd/cd player, bluetooth, navigation system, and numerous aux and iPod inputs. Once everything was installed (took 2 days and a total of 6 hours), the unit has worked beautifully. The nav system can be upgraded with an SD card (once you download the new info from the Jensen website), but be aware that the transfer of information could take up to an hour (the vehicle has to be on during the whole process). The only complaints I have are the clock - it loses time daily, and the bluetooth microphone. People are constantly telling me that they can't hear me during a call. If you are able to purchase this unit for the price I did (under $300), then it's a quality purchase. Hopefully you'll have better luck with the installation than I did.

I bought a refurbished unit on sale for $299. Awesome price for navigation, bluetooth handsfree, ipod control, DVD player with rear monitor output, backup camera, etc, etc. It has everything.
I did the install myself, but I'm an electrical engineer, so pretty confident in the wiring. Also bought a harness so I didn't have to cut the OEM wiring. Also bought an antenna adapter and rear camera. All of this stuff came from Best Buy.
The first unit worked for a day or so. It had clearly been used and refurbed (but not very well, obviously). I called Best Buy and got a return and replace authorization (good) and sent it back expecting a replacement unit. Instead, I got a refund of the on-sale purchase price...not what I asked for, but ok, I will just buy another. Went on line the price was then $649!!! $350 more than I originally paid!!! I had all the wiring done, bought all the support stuff, and to have to pay an additional $350 for the privileged of not having to re-do everything just wasn't on.
I called customer service again, and after about two hours on the call, a disconnection and many, "sorry, there isn't anything I can do" statements, I finally got them to agree to honor the original price and send me a new unit. On first check it is functioning properly.
Overall, despite the hassle, I'm happy that Best Buy stood up and supported me. Its the reason I buy stuff here rather than some no-name company from China.

Can't beat the price, and once you set this device in your car you will be VERY happy with ALL the different options it provides you with.
Even though it is old (the device user interface) it can still do EVErYTHING a new one can.

This is the best product you will receive at this price point. I have owned several aftermarket double din navigation equipped sound systems and this is comparable with all the ones I have owned. This is an outstanding buy and is a perfect fit for the user who wants to have navigation capability in the car. I was able to attach an aftermarket subwoofer and rear camera and bluetooth microphone with this product. This product has delivered on everything I wanted.

I went to get this unit installed and they laughed at me. They said it wasn't worth the installation price. I returned it to best buy and bought a JVC unit. I depend on the GPS for work and really need a good unit. Maybe just for the audio purpose, it might be ok.

If you're buying this mainly for the GPS I don't recommend it. It's the worst GPS I've ever used. First of all the maps are already 18 months old and it cost $90 to download new ones. I tested the GPS on some routes I'm familiar with and it gave me routing no other GPS has ever done. Stuff like telling me to take an exit and make a left turn when there's a median preventing a left turn (needed to take the next exit and loop around). Going home down the interstate it wanted me to exit much earlier than the exit that's closest to my home. I don't trust the unit to find someplace I haven't been to before, I'll have to use my phone's GPS for that. Just having the map displayed is nice though. It does a good job showing POI's on the map.
The other features work fine. I really like the Bluetooth. It synced with my HTC Evo 4g and even copied the contact list over. It also streams music from the Evo and I didn't even know I had music on the phone. That'll be nice for audio book mp3's on long trips. No having to burn it to CD's, just put it on the phone.
I added a backup camera and that works ok, picture isn't great but it does the job. The Jensen takes about 20 seconds for the screen to start working after turning on the ignition so I frequently find myself having to wait a few seconds if I want to use the backup camera
Radio works fine although you have to pop out an optional menu to change from FM to AM.

Bought this unit at best buy for $400. It was on sale from $549 so I decided to go for it since it had GPS and Bluetooth, the two features I wanted most. With that being said, the Bluetooth works great. I've had the unit for about a month and it works as advertised, good volume, and everyone can hear me well when I'm driving. You can also stream Pandora or Netflix (audio only) thorugh Bluetooth. If you have the cable for it, you can plug your iphone and watch actual videos on the screen as well which I will probably do soon. As for the GPS, not so impressed with it. I mean, it does the job fine. Actually, I'm pretty tech savvy and I had to look at the manual because I couldn't figure out how to find an address and navigate to it. After I read the manual though, it was fairly simple. I would say that the GPS is not "user friendly" especially when being compared to standalone GPS systems. I also own a Garmin Nuvi and it is much easier to use than the Navigation system in this Jensen. As far as the other features, they work well. The DVD screen quality is sharp, and even in the sun the screen looks pretty good as far as glare is concerned. You can also fill a DVD with MP3's and have hours of music. The SD card feature is also nifty. I put a 2 gig SD card just to try it out, and it loads quickly and the sound quality is great. For 400 dollars, I thought it was a good price and I give it 4 out of 5 stars because for that price, you probably won't find a much better unit than this one.

It's ok if you dont look at the clock

I had this model and I took my chances with reading the other reviews on here. I mostly bought it for the Bluetooth streaming capabilities and because it had a remote so I can change my music without taking my eyes off the road to look at the screen. The first thing that was an issue was the clock. After my car had been sitting over night I go to use my radio and the clock had staggered from being 5 minutes off, then the next day it would be 20 minutes off, and sometimes it would be off and then it would jump to the correct time (but in eastern time and im in central) and then it would jump to being in the messed up time again. Almost like it thought there was two clocks but there wasn't. So I thought it must just be this device even though another person who reviewed had the same issues, so I got it replaced with a different one. It did it again on the second one!
Also the remote that comes with it is almost useless. All that you can do with it is adjust the volume on the radio, and switch through your pre-set radio station (1,2,3,4...)
The Bluetooth feature was flawless! It was awesome! Seamless playing of on phone music and great call quality!
It just seems like Jensen packed so much stuff into a pretty inexpensive deck and the quality overall is blah.

Great system for the price

Great product easy to install and use. Took less then one hour to install (if you have never installed one recomend having best buy install). After being installed I played with the system for about twenty minutes and was able to figure out most of the features. GPS is easy to use and very quick response time (Maps take a little bit to load) , I had the Pioneer system before and this one responds a lot quicker. The only down side I have found was due to not reading all info on the product, it does not include a built in Mic but i was able to pick one up for a few dollars and installed it by just pluging it in. Over all great product well worth the money.

i have an evo 4g phone and just had the radio installed today. maybe it is just quirks that need to be worked out when i sit down and fully set it up or maybe there is something more. right now the radio works great as does the navigation. i tried to connect my phone to the radio and it did connect. when i tried to type in a phone number to call or sync the phone's address book it didnt work. when i tried calling from the phone directly to have it go into the bluetooth. it didnt work. when i tried repairing the phone to the radio and vice versa it wouldnt connect. when i tried to use the phones harddrive to listen to my music it wouldnt read the disk even though it is in the correct format. i am going to mess with it for a few days (two to be exact) to try absolutly everything. if that doesnt work i will exchange it.

There is a clock... I am not sure why other people who wrote rating say there is no lock. There is small one on upper right corner of radio. I would be nice if it was larger, but it is there. My only real issue is the install / misc. wires etc. is about $ 250.00 and system is only $ 399.99 on sale.

Bluetooth FAILURE!!!

I am on my 4th unit in less than six months and again the bluetooth part has failed. The Bluetooth will work for a little over a month and then will just quit working. I thought Jensen was better than this...not anymore and never again!
