the Jitterbug phone is a good phone for the elderly. However, it needs to be even bigger with larger keys so somewhere with visual impairment can see the buttons a little better. I've gotten three of these phones: one for my Mom, two for two friends.

I bought this phone for my 87 year old mom. Simple YES or NO commands and an emergency monitoring service for just $30 / month. Mom can now take photos and send and receive texts. I can also track her whereabouts. Plus the customer service is top notch!

This is working out pretty well, would be better if Great Call had more plan options selection when setting up.

Bought this for my 80 year old Mother-in-Law. Smart phones and email are beyond her ability. She is in assisted living group home. She is in great shape but her learning curve has flat-lined. The Jitterbug allows her to make calls from the comfort of her room to family in a way she that is used to doing. Simple and cost effective.

I was having trouble finding a phone my 86 year Mother liked until this one...reception seems better than the other phones I bought her and the key pad is large enough for her to use with out trouble...she seems to really like it so you can not get a better review than that...

Way beyond old technology . Not to mention the lame way of operation of phone. Mind you that all would have been ok if it worked, had signal. It would work now and then. Meaning the signal would come and go and not just at one location. Strange phone for a crazy price. Then went to take it back after my grandma lost the phone for a week at the nursing home, it was going on 30 day return limit only to find out that my Elite Plus had expired at the first of the year. Guess I should have spent another $4000 to keep it??? I'm so done with BB. Again, phone would have been ok if it had worked. Not really a old peoples phone. The operation of the phone was weird, that no one else would try to help granny to call home, because they could not figure it out. Not that it was that hard, just strange. Do yourself a favor and buy a regular pay by the minute phone that is like the rest and at a better price point.
