My boyfriend wanted headphones with washable ear covers from Amazon. But I looked online with Best Buy and got them for Christmas. He loved them, said they feel great and wireless is perfect.

I can't believe they are getting away with with kind of sound quality at this price. It's comparable to the free earphones you used to get with old cell phones. It's also made with a very low quality plastic. It feels very much like it will not last. Some of the wiring is exposed to the user in a way that makes it easy to damage. I wore this for half of a run before I put in some ear buds. I couldn't handle the low quality audio and low volume. I should also mention that the silicone flap that covers the USB port does not seal completely which indicates this cannot properly maintain its water proof rating.

The JLab Flex Sport headphones are aimed at an active user and have some unique features to match those needs. They have fabric covered earpads which are washable. They provide two different tension bands and a removable headband pad to adjust the fit, so they’ll stay put and comfortable and won’t start sliding around if you get sweaty. Another interesting feature is what’s called ambient sound. A press of the large side button toggles this on and off. When off, they act like any headphones and block much of the outside sounds. When on, they actually pick up surrounding sounds and play them through the phones. This is a safety feature, so if you’re jogging or such, you can still hear what’s happening around you. Beyond these special features, they are well built and provide great sound. I found the Bluetooth pairing to be quick and easy. They can pair with up to 8 devices and will default to the last device used if multiple devices available. For instance, if you pair both your phone and tablet and last used your phone but wish to switch to the tablet, you’ll need to turn the phone’s Bluetooth off temporarily to force the switch. The control buttons are simple, easy to find and rubber covered for protection. The included charge cable is USB C which I prefer since it’s stronger and becoming the standard. No charger is included, so you provide your own or can use your computer. The listed battery playtime is 20 hours per charge which is top of its class. There are three available EQ settings … “Signature” which is JLabs name for their particular bass and treble boost, “Balanced” which means neutral, and “Bass Boost” which is obvious. I found the Signature setting to be the most usable and pleasing. The bass is good without booming and the mids and highs are clear. In conclusion, I found the sound to be very good. It’s not the high-end audiophile sound of $300-400 headphones, but it’s pretty good and great for everyday use. The extra sports features are well implemented and well thought out. I actually find the cloth earpads to be much more comfortable and better than the typical vinyl. For the price and features, they’re a solid deal and have become my go-to headphones.

I have reviewed so many sets of headphones and these ones beat out most of them, including Bose. The comfort level on these is 10 out of 10 for being on ear headphones. The bluetooth function works great and has about a 70ft distance before it starts to get static and lose signal. Charging is normal speed, takes about 4 hours to fully charge and I was able to get 1.5 10 hour shifts at work on one battery charge running 80% volume or higher all day. The flexibility of the headphones are great as well, a lot less chance of the breaking. Also, the tension bands are nice but not needed at all. They only seem to help keep the pads tighter to your ears to block out outside noise a tad better, so I do not use them. The top pad is also great for making them even more comfortable for all day use. Now, sound, the great and beautiful sound these have. The bass is clear and low, but not Beats obnoxious low, so you get great mids and smooth highs. I highly recommend the Jlab headphones!

    Most Comfortable Headphones

    Posted .

This review will not go over audio quality, as I do not have the knowledge and experience to judge audio quality. But for sure these are the most comfortable headphones I have tried. Most headphones will have a leather ear cup; these have a cloth ear cup. The ear cups may not be so big as to cover entirely over your ear (depending on ear size of course), but even if they don't, it doesn't cause your ears to hurt after long periods of time because of the cloth and low weight of the headphones. The ear cups are of average size? Definitely not gaming size ear cups. Another thing to note is that because it is cloth, it allows your skin under the ear cups to breath easier, thus you won't sweat easily, unlike leather ear cups. The headphones fit me perfectly without further extending them. My headsize is Medium in helmet size, so maybe for smaller headsizes, this headphone may be slightly too big. I didn't need to use all the other accessories it came with: headband pad, which just adds a cloth band to the spine of the headphone, and a tensioner, which is exactly what it sounds like, it will add tension to make your heaphones tighter around your head, making the seal around your ear tighter. Huge plus for this headphone being USB-C chargeable, most headphones are still stuck on Micro-usb. Another plus is the Siri/Ok Google function. The bluetooth range seemed to be really far, music becomes intermittent after about 30ft (estimating). The ambient noise function is very nice to have, but it isn't as good as other headphones/earbuds with the same ambient noise function (for ex. Jabra Elite 65t has a better ambient noise function). So I actually spilled coffee on these headphones within the first week. I immediately took off the ear cups, gave them a rinse under warm water, and left them out in the sun to dry. The ear cups were as good as new, and didn't feel like the wash/dry cycle affected the cups in any way. Washing instructions advises you to tumble dry with no heat. You could get by with blow drying them, but the sun dries them just fine. You will know when the ear cups aren't full dry, as putting them on will have a very slightly moist feeling. I use these just in my office, and wasn't necessarily looking for something with top-notch audio quality. I always prefer comfort over all, and if you are like me, then I highly recommend these super comfortable headphones.

I don't think that JLab can make anything that is less than exceptional. Earbuds are great but for prolonged use can cause irritation. These Headphones sound great, are light weight, provide a secure and comfortable fit, and allow you to hear your surroundings. The removable and washable cushions are a super nice touch for sure. They are easy to rinse by hand or put in the case to machine wash with the gentle cycle. I also like the feature that lets you hear your surroundings. There is an actual microphone that when activated channels ambient sound to the speakers. I found this worked best at lower volume settings. Also, the built in EQ has 3 settings. I found that the Custom JLab setting was the best for the music I enjoy. I really like this setup and look forward to many hours of enjoyment in the gym or anywhere.

I am not the type to get Over the Ear headsets, preferring for the ear buds. But I was surprised how much I love these JLabs and the sound quality it provides. I was impressed to how easy it was to set up and install. After playing around with them, here are my thoughts: Pros: -Light and easy to wear design. They don't weigh too heavily on my head. -Sound quality is amazingly good. Good mixture of bass and clarity when listening to lectures, music, and movies. -Easy identifiable side. It has a large L or R on the ear piece to indicate which side is the proper side to place. -Flexibility. You have the option to use 2 different tension bands if you like a looser fit or a tighter one. There is also a washable headband you can install. Cons: -None really. I am thoroughly enjoying this head set. Great headset!
