I looked this up on Reddit and found multiple threads full of people with the same issue. Factory reset did not help.

I mainly used for music, and when I needed to make a phone call? turned out its mic was not working. Contacted JLab and was advised to send it back to them, on my expense. No, thank you. I rather to toss this junk instead.

Microphone very poor

The purpose that I purchased the headphones was to talk on the phone using the headphones while doing other activities so I would not have to hold my phone in my hand.
