These are honestly the best. There are plenty of times that it has lasted a full day and a half of rigorous use. The audio is clear and crisp and bluetooth transition is pretty seamless. Charging time is pretty fast too.

Overall excellent sound quality and long battery life. Giving 3 stars because power button is stuck and will not switch on after only one month.

It’s so good for gaming the battery lasts for hours and it’s really easy to pair up to windows. The only down side is that they’re kinda uncomfortable if you use them for a while, but other than that they work well so does the microphone it comes with.

I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. JLab Audio's Play Wireless Bluetooth gaming headset should hit all the buttons for most of us - Decent price, long battery life, good sound quality - but the audio latency, something that's rarely an issue for Bluetooth headphones on iOS devices, Macs, and Windows machines, became an issue for me with these headphones when compared to other brands and even other JLab Bluetooth headsets. For the price, they're a great value for a headset that works for both gaming at home and listening on the go. First impressions: First off, kudos to any headphone manufacturer that includes a storage case for their headphones, especially at the lower end. Double kudos to any headphone manufacturer that includes a hard-sided case at the low-end, when most headphones priced below $100 might include a carrying bag. Setup is a relative breeze. JLab includes two different cables with the Play headset - USB micro charging cable and USB micro to 3.5mm connector with mic. I will say this - I'm no longer a fan of the USB micro connector. Compared to Apple's Lightning connector, the USB-C connector, and even the older USB mini connector, it's flimsy and fragile. While I think less ports on a device is good for keeping its insides clean, I'd rather have separate ports for the wired headphone connection and charging. While I don't fault them for coming with an adapter for computers that have separate headphone and mic jacks, these are becoming less common in newer gaming systems. This cable also has a rotary volume control on it which is handy if you can't turn down the volume on your computer quickly, but it connects to the headphones with the same USB micro port you use to charge them with - no analog audio and charging at the same time. The styling is really nice. Black headband, ear pieces, and adjustment mechanisms with teal wires and switching in the headband. The adjustment mechanism is a formed piece of wire that has a retro flair to it. Finding a comfortable position that holds is easy enough, whether you like the headband on top of or behind your head. The microphone is what really sticks out to me - not so much for quality, which was middling, but for how it stores in the headset itself. Where most gaming headphones have a removable mic that tends to fall off after a while, this mic retracts inside of right ear cup when not in use and has a mechanism that makes it infinitely adjustable. The mic works both retracted and extended, so you don't need it out to take calls when you're on the go. Audio quality is decent. It's nothing to write home about, but if these were wired gaming headphones at this price, I'd be happy with them. The Bluetooth functionality is an added bonus here. One thing they're marketed for is wireless gaming, and one of the main features is a 60ns lag. Using an iPhone 6s or an iPhone 11, I notice that lag when compared to my other Bluetooth headphones, from the low-end to the high-end. I also notice slightly more lag in macOS versus other Bluetooth headphones, and Windows too. (The Mac and Windows machines all have Bluetooth 4.2.) All in all, I can recommend these for wireless music and phone conversations on the go and wired usage while sitting in front of your gaming battle station. They stand out for being a good wired gaming headset and a good wireless headset, but I'm not sold on them being a good wireless gaming headset. Of course, for wireless gaming headsets with little to no audio latency, you're also looking at 3-4 times more expensive. If your budget is around the price of these and you're looking for a good solution for a gaming headset instead of an everything headset, I'd go with a wired headset instead.

The retractable mic seems really flimsy so we'll see how long that lasts. Sound quality is actually pretty decent unless I use the aux to connect to my laptop. The sound is noticeably much quieter and dull. I've never had this problem with connecting any other corded device this laptop. Maybe I got a faulty cord? Overall, you're probably better off getting another pair with similar features. These seem like something that realistically is worth at most like $25.

Speakers are good, headset is comfortable, I like the case and extras, but microphone is extremely low. I think the microphone would have been better if it could extend outwards farther from within the headset

I bought it for my nephew and I’m sure the sound is great but I purchased it thinking it would be for wireless gaming but that is not the case for console players. Not sure about PC. Ended up returning them.

    Excellent Wireless Gaming Performance

---Summary--- This JLab wireless gaming headset is an excellent value that balances great sound, comfort, and affordability. They are a great choice if you are looking for a gaming headset, and are on a budget. They can not be fairly compared to more expensive headsets, but at this price point it will be difficult to find a wireless gaming headset that is better. ---Highlights--- Great Sound. Low Latency Bluetooth 5 with aptX, Long Battery Life, Lightweight and Comfortable. Boom Mic ---Sound Quality--- These headphones have 40 mm drivers that produce adequately detailed and full range sound, for this price range. Even though it is advertised as a gaming headset, they are capable of being used as general purpose headphones, as they sound significantly better than the sound produced by the speakers in a flat panel TV, a laptop, or tablet. I tested the boom microphone playing online, and was informed that it did a great job of picking up what I was saying. The boom mic really makes a difference. It also makes this headset great for making phone calls. If not needed, the boom mic can be neatly and securely retracted into the headset. The built in EQ is a nice touch, and provides a Game and Music mode that can be set based on preference. Features Bluetooth 5 and, critical for gaming, 60 ms low latency. It is also compatible with the high bit rate codec aptX. ---Comfort--- Comfort is important for a gaming headset, and I found these to be very lightweight and comfortable. I had no problem wearing them for a few hours at a time during extended gaming sessions. ---Design--- They have a micro USB port for charging. It takes 3 hours to fully charge, and a 10 minute charge will provide 1 hour of use. The battery is rated to last about 22 hours. I used them for 3 days without needing to recharge. Included is a micro USB to 3.5 mm audio cable with inline volume control. This makes them compatible with any device that features a standard headphone jack. The mute function works well and is activated by the press of a button. Another nice touch is the included hard travel case, into which the headset easily folds and fits into.
