Perfect for what I needed it for. Attached flash and wrapped the legs around a fence for perfect back ligh

At first I was really impressed with the overall build quality. I’ve had it for 3 months but only used it a handful of times with my phone and the bottom housing seemed to have just broken off. I didn’t over tighten the screw and it didn’t hit anything while it was on my tripod. Sad to say I might have just gotten a defective one.

Great product! I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys recording parties!

Great item, holds tide in place, super flexible and easy to use

This JOBY GorillaPod 1K has allowed me to do a number of neat setups with my camera that I was not able to do otherwise and I am quite pleased with how it has been working. I have a Panasonic GH5 and will most often use it in a streaming setup using either the USB or HDMI outputs. I'll use 12-35mm and 35-100mm lenses in different situations. They're not extremely heavy or cause the kit to become vastly unbalanced but it can be a bit of a workout for the lower-specced 1K. I can sometimes tangle myself up while installing the GorillaPod onto the camera. But let's take a look at the ways I've been using it. One use I've been enjoying is to use the camera as a webcam. I have a small "console-style" PC tower I keep behind my monitor. I'm able to bend the legs of the JOBY and set the camera on top of my PC. It's been stable (despite my propensity to lean on my desk, or put my feet up on the cross bar) and a surprisingly great use for my camera. I've also used it in multi-camera setup. Given a limited amount of space for cameras and tripods, I've been using the GH5 on the GorillaPod mounted on an otherwise unused part of a shelf. This gives me a pretty decent angle while keeping things in arms reach and conveniently placed. The only issue I have with this is that, being on the top of the shelf, any vibration of the desk (someone bumps it, leans on it etc) can travel into the camera fairly easily. Also, I'm still working on getting the legs set into the best position. Overall, this has been a great purchase to get me a lot of great functionality in a portable, easy to use package.

Love this thing. Its cheap, the legs work quite well and have good resistance to stay in the shape u place it. Its compact stays out of frame when positioned correctly. The ability to interchange the head piece for different shooting options is a nice touch.

Sturdy when you need it to be. Versatile and the ability to adjust depending on your situation makes this a great tool to have. I love that this one comes with a phone mount that has a shoe slot to mount a mic or light. I use this a phone so the 1k is more than enough. If you’re using a slr, it might be a better invest in the 3k model.

I picked this up because I do a lot of video training and I thought it would be great to use my iPhone as a second camera when seated at a table. It works great, is extremely sturdy and fexlible. I really like the GorillaPod. My only complaint is that it is advertised as having a Manfrotto phone clip but the one in the box it NOT from Manfrotto. I have other Manfotto tripod equipment and I selected this combo because I wanted Manfrotto quality but I didn't get it. Still a great flexible tripod but false advertising none the less so I removed 1 star from the rating. You should change the picture to what's actually in the box!!!

Very hansy tripod and a nice size. Not real compact but smaller and more flexible thatn many rigid leg mid size tripods. Can work for phones or adapt to DSLRs too.

Bought this tripod for streaming. It is very convenient, flexible yet sturdy and mobile. You can adjust it to hold on to different items such as a rail or just leave it upward on a table or desk. Reasonably priced.

Works grate easy to use . Also it can brake if u pull to hard .love the new phone holder grabs tight and grabs iPhones with thick cases also protects the front screen if it where to fall forward easy to position any where this is my 3 buy cus they do brake if u keep molding n moving the legs Too hard i ordered an extension cus its too short if i want to film my self i hate stacking stuff under it to make it taller . If u want the taller on by an inch u gotta get the 2 or 3 k which is more heavy thick and expensive .

Have you ever wanted to take a group photo and there was no level place to set your tripod or you hated lugging around a full-size tripod. This little tripod is great. the bendable legs will wrap around most anything to give support to your cell phone or an actual camera. Recently we were on a pontoon boat and the best place was the steering wheel.

I’ve tried all the GorillaPod knock offs and none are close to the real thing. It’s lightweight, durable and easy to use. It’s the only brand I buy now. Highly recommended!

Great product I use it all the time. It doesn’t feel cheap it works great with my camera.
