I thought I'g give this strange tripood a try for shootin macro photography. It's a great idea for a lighter weight setup. I tried it with my Canon 5D Mark IV wuth a Sigma 106mm lens and it moves sometimes. I've had better results using it with my Sony A6000 mirrorless camera. I do like this strange tripod and I will continue to use it with varying setups.

My Canon 6d was too heavy for this with a large lens and it fell over. Worked well with my smaller Sony.

I've only used the Joby GorillaPod Ballhead Bundle for my DSLR a few times. The ability to wrap the legs around objects, such as a railing are unique and useful to this type of tri-pod. I wouldn't recommend using it with a battery grip and/or a significantly larger zoom lens due to the GorillaPod's weight threshold. A larger model would be advised.

Was looking for a gorilla pod to bring with me during my travels for YouTube. One of the best gorilla pods in the market! I use it in my canon t5i and my Sony A6000. Perfect for both cameras. Easy to use and easy to have accurate balance with the level!

Great flexible tripod

This is my first tripod. I purchased it for taking long-exposure photos of stationary objects. Camera is Nikon D3300 with 18-55mm zoom lens. I've used the tripod quite a bit during the past few weeks, and the flexible legs still hold in position firmly. I love the quick-change shoe and camera bracket. It's secure and the camera can be placed on or off the tripod in a snap. The ball head makes it easy to aim the camera. The only issue I've had is that the camera can sag off target after tightening the ball head and releasing my grip on the camera. This gets worse when a heavier lens such as 18-300mm zoom is installed on the camera. I compensate by aiming high before tightening the ball head, but that's a trial and error process.

Great for hiking with DSLR

Had a smaller version of this for my pocket digital camera but recently got a new DSLR that I've been hiking with. Needed something heavier duty for the weight of the DSLR and this works just as well as the smaller one. It can easily be adjusted to stand on rocks, wrap around limbs, etc to get some great shots.

I used it during vacation and it worked great, whether I placed it on the ground or bent the legs to hang it to the tree or a pole. The knob that holds the camera rotation and additional level are also helpful.

The Joby gorillapod is perfect for anything your standard tripod/monopod cannot do or fit. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations or tight quarters where we can't use the traditional tripod, and this comes in handy for those times!

It's a great tripod and is very sturdy. It holds my camera and kit lens very well and is easy to adjust for any situation. It's not tall but otherwise it's great!

I use this for my DSLR all the time and its great. It works similar to a tripod but you can twist the legs to attach it to something like a pole or other items for the perfect picture.

Perfect for situations when you don't need or want to carry around a big tripod, very useful when you have a lot of rails/poles/trees to attach to. I have used this with my DSLR and multiple lenses (including a 4lb. nikon 80-200) and it handles it all well.

Great for putting your dslr in positions that would be make some angles difficult to shoot. I wish there was an option to reset the legs after you use them. Legs can not be straightened completely after being bended. Doesn't affect the useage at all just an ocd thing for me.

I love having my camera with me everyday so my canon eos M2 is always in my purse. Usually I also have a small manfrotto pixi. I decided to get the gorilla pod for the times I want to take my canon 6d out and not lug my mefoto tripod around. It works well for both the large and small camera. I don't think I would use if for the 6d and a large heavy zoom. I like to shoot mostly w/ primes so not a big deal for me. I wish it was arca compatible so could keep my peak design capture plate on my camera when using this. I will probably end up changing out the ball head on this for arca compatible.

I took this on a backpacking trip in the Sierras and paired with with a Canon 70D with 24mm pancake lens. The tripod was sturdy enough to hold this pair. I have since tried it with a heavier 17-50mm zoom, which was really too heavy for the tripod.

I recently visited Colombia and it was super handy for traveling! It does not take much space and you could literally take it anywhere and hang it anywhere. Definitely worth it!

This thing is used by many people for a reason. I have been able to execute so many impossible angles and shots because of the Gorilla Pod’s ability to wrap around things!

It's so durable! I'm not sure if I feel comfortable wrapping it around a tree or chair like in the pictures because my camera and lenses are so heavy. But on a tabletop it works perfectly.

I love this tripod! It's lightweight, able to fit right into my backpack, or it's side pockets without a problem. I brought it to Zion National Park. There's a lot of hiking necessary and it was great getting time-lapses with my camera sitting on this light weight product. I also love it how I can wrap it around poles, branches, or have it leveled on top of something to get a great portrait shot with a group.
