Great all purpose stand

Super versatile

A perfect size for any smaller to mid size DSLR and lens, but for larger DSLRs and larger lenses this may not be strong enough. The included removable ball head is very nicely made and has a built in quick release and level.

Great travel tripod

Went to Paris and needed a small tripod that could easily fit in my bag. This baby is the real deal! Less than a pound. Allows you to shoot almost anywhere even when the surfaces are uneven. I highly recommend this as a DSLR tripod. - Sven

Very sturdy and versatile

It has a quick release mount and even has a level on the mount. Would prefer there be a thumb screw to attach the camera to the mount so I don't have to have a coin or a tool to attach it. And I wish I could use the same mount for the GorillaPod as my full size tripod. That would make it perfect!

This thing is STRONG
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Joby SLR-Zoom is great! I put my Nikon D5500 on it and holds strong pretty much everywhere. It works as a steady tripod and if I want to take a shot where a plain old tripod wont cut it, I can hang it off of a tree branch, a poll, my friends head, anything (or anyone I guess) and don't have to worry about it losing it's grip and causing my camera to get damaged.

Travel tripod

Mission accomplished! Have used it with my Sony A6000 & small lenses as well as with heavier 18-200mm lens. Stable, infinitely adjustable! Buy it!
