Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the GorillaPod SLR-Zoom and Ballhead Bundle's portability, light weight, and compact size as significant advantages. Many appreciate its high-quality construction. However, some users express concerns about the included ball head's stability and ease of use, suggesting potential improvements in this area. Overall, the positive feedback on portability and quality outweighs the negative comments regarding the ball head.

This is certainly one of the better products out there like this. I have tried some of the cheaper alternatives found on Amazon but I opted to get this one instead for my new DSLR (Canon 80D). I am glad I did. This has a much sturdier base and yet is still easy to position where you need it. I am not too thrilled with the ball head though which is why I knocked off 1 star. You really need to tighten it in order for it to not shift. Also, if you spread the feet out too far you will get a slow shift or slip depending on the surface you are using. If you get the weight balance right though and make sure the ball head does not shift, you're camera will be fine. I am definitely concerned though if over time the tension and reliability of the articulating pieces will hold up. It would be hard to see a $1.5k camera come crashing down because of a $60 piece of equipment that failed.

Obviously this isn't an everyday tripod. This tripod helps you get those tough and unique angles. Solid build and holds up my Canon T3i just fine even with a telephoto lens. Overall good tripod

There is a more expensive model in Joby's lineup but this model is light, easy to carry and has a detachable level on it for the camera to clip into the base to. It's a good buy and is recommended for point and shoots camera and also dslr's

First, I hope everyone considering this has at least considered, if not purchased a larger, quality tripod. I use my main tripod WAY more often than this little guy... but this guy has his place. You'll be glad to have this for stability for your shots. When we are shooting and have a surface or object the Joby can utilize, the freedom of reaching into your bag and setting this up is enlightening. This is also very useful to avoid those moments when you miss that "cute pet moment" whilst setting up the main tripod. If you can swing a few bucks, this is a handy accessory.

Great little tripod that can be attached to almost anything. I use a regular tripod for everyday shooting but bring this out for getting a shot from a spot you cant use a normal tripod. My only real complaint is that it seems to be effected more by wind and vibration (on bridges, fences, etc) than your average tripod.

Had one of the mini gorillas for many years and loved it. But have gone back to a full size Nikon in the past year and found the old just couldn't handle the weight. Always afraid it was going to tip over. So went with this big guy and just love it. Had it out hiking numerous times this past summer and fall and find it wraps around trees, stands alone or will adjust for about anything. Had a tough time getting past the purchase price but glad that I bought. Any of you guys out there with full size cameras I'd highly recommend - especially if you're the outdoorsy type like me.

This has been the best overall travel tripod I own. Tough and light, small enough. If you are a professional video shooter - maybe not. But being always available and flexible for various mounting platforms works for me.

Although this tripod is able to hold my 5D Mark III, I am not fully comfortable with this as a primary or even a secondary device for this camera. This is a great tripod for a smaller point and shoot or any one of my GoPro devices. Excellent maneuverability with smaller camera, just not for professional DSLRs. Nice as a complimentary gift though!

    - Build quality is good (does not feel as solid as the focus). - Built in level on the head is a nice touch - Small and portable - Gets the job done as you can easily adjust the legs to get in many positions.

We purchased this because of the larger size so we could get our bigger camera setup in hard to reach places. It did just the trick. We love it!
