This movie provides insights into the personalities and the issues that played into the founding of our country. It makes our history come alive. Should be viewed by all who are interested in what made this a great country. Great risks were taken to gain our independence.

You can always count on HBO to make quality TV. This John Adams biopic, based on David McCullough's excellent book, is outstanding. The performances by Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney are great. the period costumes are convincing.

Strong character development; great attention to detail, from home interiors to manner of speech; and thorough portrayal of the lives of the founding fathers, who are otherwise just a list of names we learned in school.

Paul Giammati & Laura Linney are riveting as John & Abigail Adams! This long series is worth the time invested, as it really brings early America and the Revolution to life, as well as exploring the not-as-famous 2nd President of the USA.

A very enticing mini-series about a little understood President. Makes you appreciate him even more. The Blu-rays cone with a lot of additional content.

Great Casting, Acting, Scenery, Cinematography, Editing, and if course the history learned us awesome! You will learn some things you never knew. The perspective of the colonists that are fighting for pure survival is unique.

Although I have yet to watch the show, this review is strictly based on the packaging and price point. The packaging is great, heavy duty stuff. But the real draw to this was the price...I couldn't pass it up!

Takes you back to the beginning of our nation and let's you glimps how it was forged. A must watch. All aspects of series is outstanding. Third time I have purchased this and second as a gift.

I am not sure how accurate this movie is but it is good entertaining movie about the birth of our nation and of John Adams. It is worth watching and there is more action than you think in it.

Bland. We were never there but if this is a window into at least something that resembles what life was like then bravo. Hated they portrayed Adams as a sniveler but I guess someone had to be

A very well written show that had me hooked from almost start to finish. Episodes 3 & 4 dragged a little but it picks up again after that. Overall one of the best shows I've seen.

If you're a history buff you'll enjoy this HBO mini-series. Paul Giamati puts in a great performance and the production value is top notch. Looks and sounds very good on Blu-ray!

It's rare to find something of this historical accuracy, particularly in the realm of the Founder's Republic. This would make an excellent gift for any young person you know.

This is the DVD set to get for a great review of our county and its history. Thank you HBO. Hopefully, a Thomas Jefferson movie is somewhere in the future.

This movie gives an entertaining perspective on the development of the USA. It goes beyond American History 101, not only of John Adams but other key figures. It focuses more on the politics and struggle rather than war/battles. Movie is a drama with some light humor. Appropriate for most audiences, but some "light" adult content in a few scenes.

Great Documentary on our second President and the start of our country. Very thorough biography taken from David McCullough best seller. This is from HBO.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series from the time it first aired. I bought it in DVD, then Blu-ray and have purchased it as gifts for other.

This is an outstanding miniseries about history that really needs to be known to more Americans. And the Blu-ray transfer makes it pop that much more.

Great historical drama from HBO. Would love to see more series of this scope about American history. Highly recommended.

This miniseries was excellent. It contains some very interesting historical facts and what influenced our founding fathers in the decisions that were made.
