Finally, a movie made from the first of the Edgar Rice Burroughs series of books about John Carter of Mars.. I certainly hope that Disney continues with the series!! I've seen the movie on the big screen, but wow, throw in 3D on top of it, and it makes for a deeper experience!

Great film adaptation of the novel. Those who missed it in theaters don't know what they missed, but this is your chance. :) Great cg effects, great actors for the parts. Only complaint is there were times it seemed a bit rushed in spots, and the "dog" was a bit corny.

Exciting, awesome characters, epic scenery, Kitchen is… unreal and storyline is … right on!

John Carter is surprisingly great fun movie. Traveling to planetary destinations through futuristic device is a possibility. This is a love story captain Carter from earth and a princess from Mar.

If you were wondering if getting this in 3 d or not, go for the 2 d. Don't waste your money on the 3d as there are not that many scenes in 3 d! This is a very good movie and if you like si fi, this is for you. The effects are also very good.

Although this movie did not fare so well in the theaters, I enjoyed it! The effects were great and the storyline was strong enough to keep my interest throughout... but I am kind of a geek when it comes to these things.

Love this movie. Lots of enjoyable comedy action. Pleasant to watch. Keeps you watching to see what going to happen next. Recommend it.

My husband and I love this movie. We couldn't find it anywhere in stores. We ordered online and Best Buy had it. So good, I don't even want to spoil it. Great Disney movie for both children and adults!

When this movie came out it was severely panned by everyone critics and audiences alike, but me I thought this was excellent and it pains me that their is not a sequel to this great film.

The film chronicles the first interplanetary adventure of John Carter and his attempts to mediate civil unrest amongst the warring kingdoms of Barsoom. Great visuals and action sequences, but criticism towards the characterization and plot.

I really enjoyed this movie with Taylor K. It was much more fun than I expected and luckily, I was unfamiliar with the story, so it was all new to me. Great action sequences, as well. Wish I had gotten the 3D version for the full affect. Enjoyable.

The synopsis sounded interesting, so we took a chance, and we were happy with our decision. The movie was great! It had a unique plot and plenty of action kept our interest peaked.

Not so sure why Disney lost a lot of money and fired a CEO for this movie bombing. Was pretty entertaining

Good fantasy movie, good enough to buy it after seeing it on tv. Action, battles, love, aliens (but not what you'd think), creatures, good story.

Enjoyable movie. Not groundbreaking but fun too watch expecially if you are a scifi watcher looking for something good to watch.

my kids begged me for this show.. they love the (dog) that follows john carter around.. very enjoyable.. would sit down again and again to watch the show

Yes, we loved this movie so I finally bought the DVD. If you like this far-fetch kinds of movie's then go for it.
