Mostly good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you like John Wayne's old westerns from Lone Star and Republic studios, this is a good set for you. This collection does not include the "3 Musketeers" series of pictures, but otherwise is a good collection. The inclusion of "The Hurricane Express" and "The Shadow of the Eagle" was much appreciated as these old serials are not often seen (by me anyway) on DVD. The only 2 things I didn't like was that the version of "McKlintock" is not the best copy I've seen, and on 2 or 3 of the older ones, an attempt was made to add new music to the sound track. The new music does not work well with the rest of the sound track (dialog, sound FX, etc) being old.

Collection is from a TV series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outside of a few movies in this collection, such as McClintock! all the movies are from Wayne's early years making western TV shows. This was not at all what I expected. Best Buy needed to provide a movie listing of what is on each DVD.
