I am not a Kenu Reeves fan (May have misspelled his name) but this is a good movie. Like most of the movies he plays in, unexpectedly good!

I saw the first film and thought how were they going to continue, but they did a great job on that. Just as action packed as the first film.

I watched the 3 John Wick films in succession and found them to follow the storyline created in this first film perfectly. It has a completely unique story from all other assassin movies that I have watched. It is a wild and very bloody ride as the caption on the front cover states. It is not for someone who doesn't care for a large body count with countless rounds of bullets being fired. If you do enjoy this type of movie, it does deliver and in a very big way. The action is over the top in my opinion. I enjoyed it and watched several scenes more than two rewinds.

John Wick is a refreshing action experience that's even more mind-blowing to watch in crisp 4K. Where the movie is light on story, it more than makes up for it in interesting lore and pulse-pounding action. Unlike a lot of movies released at this time, the action is really clean with minimal jump cuts so we can actually see and appreciate the action choreography. Keanu is merciless as Wick and you really feel his intense hatred towards the men who ruined his already in-shambles life with each kill. The supporting cast are all really great, too, but Keanu obviously steals the show. Overall, a fun ride. RIP Daisy the dog.

John Wick is an amazing movie in itself. But when I recently purchased my Sony 4K HDR player, John Wick was one of the first titles I picked up and I was blown away. With the improved color quality, the explosions and vibrant world just pops off the screen and feels like you're looking through a clear glass window. The improved sound is where the real value is with a big upgrade in scenes involving gun fights and explosions and car chases. It just helps thrust you into that world all the more and makes the movie watching experience that much more immersive. If you have an HDR tv and player, John Wick is definitely worth the purchase, even if you already have it on regular blu ray I would recommend upgrading to the 4K copy.

Keanu Reeves is amazing as John Wick; as though John Wick was written with Keanu in mind. The action sequences are beautifully crafted.

In what might well be his best role yet, Keanu Reeves returns to the screen as John Wick, a former hit man who successfully retired from the business to be with his wife. After her death, John tends to a dog she left behind as a gift of remembrance, until a group of thieves assault him, kill the dog, and make off with his car. John then finds himself seeping back into the business he left behind, to gain revenge on his attackers. Full of over-the-top violence befitting its subject, as well as loads of dark humor, Reeves makes the most of his character and the mythology surrounding him and several other hit masters he runs into. Maybe not for everybody, but worth a look, regardless (and it also helps that this is one of the first Blu-ray releases with Dolby Atmos surround sound).

I bought this movie because of a friends recommendation and so many people liking this movie. The fight scenes are great and Keanu does a great job with his personality bringing it into John Wick. What sometimes is a little too is the fight scenes. They are almost senseless with little background to them. I did watch the sequels and I think they improved dramatically on this. Visually and quality of UHD was superb.

It is literally a non stop action movie from beginning to end the 4K quality is good not great but it does look better with hdr on

If you've seen the trailer you know what you're stepping into, a no nonsense butt kicking action movie flick with no apologies offered. I loved the gunfu fight scenes with mag changes resulting from realistic ammo expenditures. This ain't no 80s action flick with guns of unlimited ammo spewing fiery death. And when he runs out of ammo in the middle of a fight, what does he do? He jams it into the guys throat buying him extra seconds to reload and cap the bad guy. The movie is filled with excellent choreographed hard hitting fight scenes which should not disappoint, in particular the house scene being one of them. The movie also has it's humorous moments which I liked very much. I am glad to see that Keanu is back after that 47 Ronin movie abomination.

Awesome Action, Thriller Film! Legendary assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) retired from his violent career after marrying the love of his life. Her sudden death leaves John in deep mourning. When sadistic mobster Iosef Tarasov (Alfie Allen) and his thugs steal John's prized car and kill the puppy that was a last gift from his wife, John unleashes the remorseless killing machine within and seeks vengeance. Meanwhile, Iosef's father (Michael Nyqvist) -- John's former colleague -- puts a huge bounty on John's head.

I went to see John Wick 3, and decided to re-watch John Wick as a refresher. I watched it again, twice on the same day.

I can't watch the part with the dog. But i understand his point of view. Good story..good vs bad guys. Loved it!

Finally picked up this movie and loved it. Can’t wait to see the 2nd one and a third to be coming out. Love Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves kicks butt in this instant modern day action classic! Great picture and sound on the Blu-ray too.

Keanu Reeves is just amaxing in this. The guy can just pull you into a movie and make you feel whats going on.

Son wanted me to watch it - I was not really interested but I did watch the movie as it kept you engaged.

When this movie first came out I couldn't believe there wasn't a steelbook option. Once I saw this was available, I jumped at the chance to order it. Love the box design and it goes perfect with my steelbook collection. Wish they would have started with this when it first came out. I do have to say, it doesn't give you any additional content though, so this would be a purchase only for obtaining the steelbook for your colelction. As for the movie, one of the big surprise hits of 2014. Instant favorite for it's intriguing world of mafia thugs and assassins, the amazing action, cool cars, and attention to detail with the choreography.

Love the John Wick movies collecting them all. Great colors and sound. Awesome fight sceens and dialogue.
